Work/domain print group

I'm trying to connect my work computer (which is on a domain) to my home network, to printing purposes. I have the printer on another computer at home with the help of a working group.

What I want to do is set my computer at home, the 'Home' working group to allow my computer to work on an area to print. Is this possible? I know I can't physically connect work computer to the printer, but I would like to spend less time in the kids area as possible.

  • ASA LDAP is not find memberOf Active Directory domain users group

It seems that any group I have add an account for the ldap memberOf thinks it is except for the domain users group. Is there a specific exclusion of this group somewhere? It does not seem to be a problem with space in name, because if I test it with other default groups like domain administrators, it works. I get the same result of the ldap attribute card as long as you try to use the domain users group in a DAP policy. Debugging ldap 255 returns every other group membership for an account with the exception of users in the domain.

When I run the command "sh filter LDAP ad 'Domain' group ' is the domain users group in the list of results, so he is able to see it and it exists."

Please see the attached link under primaryGroupID, which states that the Domain Users group is not part of the memberOf attribute. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms677943.aspx That explains why the mapping fails for any Domain Users as seen in the debugs

    Hi NickManchisi

    1. for how long have you been faced with this problem?
    2. what happens when you try to print?
    3. do you receive any error messages?

    Method 1 :
Please refer to the below mentioned article and check if the given steps help.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/308028

    Method 2:

You can even perform a restore of the system to a previous point, when the issue was not present. The System Restore tool uses points of restore to return the system files and settings to an earlier point in time. You can use it to restore the operating system to a point in time when you have not experienced the problem.

Note: When you use System restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To do this, there must be a restore point from the system in which the connection was successful.

Refer to the following help link on performing a system restore.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/306084

    I hope this helps.

  • Work of printer only as scanner-printer driver or something

    Hello.

I have problem with my new printer all-in-one HP LaserJet M1132 MFP

When I connected the printer with my pc first, everything looks very good, works fine-printing, scanning, copying - but when I wound up the PC and then another day turned on and I tried to print something, there is no printer in devices and printers, there is an icon only to scan. As printer is no more. But the scanner works fine.

I reinstalled the driver at least 3 times, but still no better.

You have an idea, which is ar bad what I'd do in this regard?

(I use Win7 32 bit, all drivers updated)

BTW - I'm really sorry for my English.

    Thanks for help

    Hi Pviper,

I understand that you have a problem with your HP Laser Jet M1132 MFP and it keeps disappearing from the printers and devices window off your computer. For me, it sounds as if the in the computer print spooler does not start correctly.

I got How to start, stop or restart the print spooler in Windows 7, I would like to start with this step and then proceed to diagnose and automatically fix the problems of the printer and printing. The last link I provided is a Microsoft Fix It tool that will check in the background and the problems related to the printer or printing problems.

Please let me know if this solves your problem. Thank you.

  • ePrint still listed as offline on laptop when you try to print work but printer D110a

I literally tried everything to resolve the question in the title. I'm fine with the networking. I'll run down the list of things that I tried to solve this problem, or the important factors that someone would need to know to help me:

    • It's my work, laptop which I use at home
    • I am running 64-bit Windows 7 Professional
    • All my wireless devices have Internet access
    • I can print on my printer D110a, but only via the ePrint option, which takes more time, because the packets must be sent via the Internet
    • I removed the D110a of devices and printers; HP ePrint is still listed as a separate device
    • The laptop has a 10/100/1000 Ethernet port
    • My router is a router dual-band running at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies
    • I connect using the 2.4 GHz frequency
    • The laptop has a built-in wireless card which can achieve up to 72Mbps access
    • I have a Wireless N adapter, which can connect to my 5 GHz band and up to a connection 300Mbps; I removed the adapter and ensured that I am connected to my 2.4 GHz band
    • Other printer drivers HP for printers that I use at work are installed on my laptop
    • I tried to uninstall and reinstall both complete drivers and base for my D110a, but during the installation, the wizard can find never the printer despite the fact that he obtains the valid IP address (192.168.1.x) private on my 255.255.255.0 network
    • I hid my 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz SSID, the D110a attached to the old, but my 2.4 GHz SSID is hidden is no longer and the D110a shows it is connected with a valid, private IP address that is not in use
    • The printer IP address statically has been highlighted, but I since changed to DHCP
    • I had the MAC address of the filtering enabled for network devices, but I've disabled since
    • I tried to remove the power of the modem, router and printer at the same time, wait a minute or two and then restore power to the modem, router and printer in turn before confirming that, once again, my wireless printer can connect to my network and rent a valid, private IP address that was not in use by another device on my network

I read that the HP CUE DeviceDiscovery Service could confuse a laptop that is used between a job and a home network, if other HP printers are available on the work network unless the service is disabled when switching between networks. However, given that I'm trying to add the printer D110a from home, I imagine that this service must be enabled and started. He is currently in a State of the road with a manual startup type.

Oddly, although I can access the Internet from the 2.4 GHz or the 5 GHz band, I can't ping my gateway (192.168.1.1) when I'm logged in without wire, or I can ping some other devices on my network, although I see they are connected in the UI of my wireless router/gateway. The router is connected to a modem, but the router is configured as a DHCP server and assigns IP addresses to devices that are trying to connect to my home network. I think that my modem is on a different subnet, with an internal IP address of 192.168.0.1 not 192.168.1.1, which is the IP address of my router/gateway. Curiously, I ping my router and other devices on my network so I am connected directly to the router via the Ethernet port. I went into the Windows Firewall with advanced security, and I see that echo for IPv4 queries are allowed for any type of interface (wired or wireless), but this only applies to a domain (that is, knitting) network, only. Perhaps a rule should be created to allow applications to echo on a private network (i.e., mine), as well.

Maybe I should not worry about this, because the solution is just to print on the listed HP ePrint peripheral, but it is ridiculous that I can't print to the D110a locally. Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

    Respectfully,.

    Eric Sternot

Solved! I already knew how to reset the router, as I did several times, but thank you for your diligence.

Anyway, after my router wireless network configuration backup, restore and then return to re - enter the data, I noticed a field called 'enable wireless of isolation '. The description on the information page of the router down the right to say read, "If checked, the under this SSID wireless client can only access the internet and it can not access other even wireless clients under the same SSID, Ethernet customers or this device. Other customers can access the wireless client, either. "No wonder I couldn't ping other devices on my network, while my laptop was using wireless, too! I restored the original configuration of my router from the backup file I had created and then connected, box unchecked "enable wireless isolate" and saved my configuration. I could then all connected devices - wired or wireless - ping on my network, including my printer D110a. I could also print on it locally.

Thanks for your patience to help me solve this problem. I know it sounds dumb, since workaround has been just to print the D110a on the Internet by using the device or the ePrint service, but at least I learned a little more about the configuration of firewall ports and what "isolation wireless" was.

  • A user in domain local group administrators is not administrator rights

Trying to figure out what the problem is with the computer of a friend at work.

When you connect as long as domain user that is part of the local Administrators group, the user looks like he doesn't have administrator rights. For example, they are unable to create files in certain folders, etc where you wait for only admin to be.

If the computer is in safe mode, then everything works as expected.

If the same newspaper users in another machine on the network, while everything looks ok.

It just seems to be on a machine that he has problems.

All local group settings look ok and permissions on individual files look ok - and they work in safe mode.

This is a friends working machine, and for now, he tries to avoid his reconditioned machine to work around this problem. There is no restore point for him to try (it's out of our hands). We tried a number of things right, but nothing was any use so far - other than to try safe mode, but we do not know how to use this info.

Any advice on how this track more would me much appreciated!

OK, now that we are talking about. The files you mention are all the system folders. They enjoy special protection under Windows 7 to prevent rogue programs to do things behind your back when you are signed in under an administrator account. It goes the same for the root of C:. You can create folders here, but you cannot create files.

hp2420 LASERJET ATTN FLASHING WHEN PRINT JOB SENT. ATTN PRESS MUST BE ON EVERY PRINT JOB TO PRINT

You have a control panel on the printer which should have a post about that.  Most of the time this occurs when the size and or the type of paper, the work of the application is not the same as the printer settings and pressing the button you tell the printer to use paper so that it is set.  Most of the time the best solution is to define the type of paper and size and everything and all at once for tray 2 which should solve the problem.

My domain administrator is defined as a domain user and I want to change it to domain administrator. The groups gathered outside the account > users > Admin > groups section.

    Hello Tripline,

Please provide number and firmware version of your ReadyNAS model.

What's your ReadyNAS built-in AD? The ReadyNAS will simply copy the accounts of the ADS in your ad. Existing domain user, 'Administrator' should be adjusted to have administrator rights. I guess you should change everything first, and then integrate the NAS again to the AD.

  • Photosmart HP 6520: Printer work and print a blank page, on its own without input from any computer or device.

I use a configuration of Photosmart Printer series 6520 linked to a Comcast Cable modem router /wifi.  I use WPA2 security with a long password. (I also tried setting by using the system of the WPS - with changes in symptoms). With this router, the wifi connection I share with

    1. MacbookPro computer
    2. iPhone 6SPlus
    3. 12.9 inches iPad Pro

    The symptoms are:

At random times during the day or night, you can hear computer works as if someone sent a print job.

    1. You go to the printer, and the front panel display is on.
    2. There is an empty of leaves paper ejected from the printer.

In the night when in bed and all devices are disabled except router and of course the printer, I can hear the printer works and then I wake up the next morning and there is a blank sheet of paper in the output tray.  I'm off to put the paper in the paper tray.

I keep the printer on 24 hours a day, because as ink jet printer inks tend to dry out the exposed to natural air. And HP recommends keep printer to prevent dry ink clogging in the head. I understand everything power is suspended unless the circuit warming (and it appeared to work that way until quite recently).

Although it made no difference, I just update the HP Update version 5 driver sent from Apple.  It turns out that it is the wasted effort, and I lost my custom configurations because the driver for my printer has not been updated for at least two years. He always uses the version 4.2.5 of the driver. (El Capitan is X.11.6 with the latest security updates).

    Printer works fine otherwise.  Suggestions?

Yes, it made no difference. The façade has finally exploded but ocassion, it still ejects a sheet or two of paper.  Guess it's irreparable. I can live with. Works fine in the case.  Just close it as insoluble.
