• Very slow / freeze while working with photos in Photoshop Elements and Canon DPP

  Suddenly my Windows XP has become very slow or crashes when working with photos.  I have Canon DPP and Photoshop Elements installed, and in the two following occurs: I can edit a photo without any problem but when I try to work with a second picture the system slows down / freezes.  It unlocks after a minute or two each time.  I tried cleaners registry check disk, Disk Defragmenter, virus, etc. etc. scans and no problems.  All other works very well and this problem started just out of nowhere.  Any suggestions or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

  area of your taskbar and select Disable.

• Working with photo files in Windows 7 without SLide-Show, etc.

  Y at - it an option to work with photo files on Windows 7 WITHOUT using the slideshow, Sky Drive Option, etc...  I want to attach a file of unique photo to an e-mail message without these being included.  What program can I use to open these types of files?  Included in the .jpeg files could be scans of any document...

  Paint, a part of win7 can open photo files, not that you need to post a photo.

  By default, your image files are stored in libraries > photos, providing any image file has a descriptive name, in your e-mail software, new message, you select 'Attachment' and then in the window that appears navigate to the location of the images, it is an add the file.

  You can also use the free Picasa program to catalog your photos, and depending on what email program you use, there is an option on a photo to send this photo

• I've recently upgraded to El Capitan of Lion.  My iPhoto library is also transformed into Photos.  In iPhoto, I used Photoshop as my editor in Chief of "standard / default.  I can't do that to work with Photos, all I can't get is the photo editor.

  I've recently updated to Lion at El Capitan and my library of more than 40 000 iPhoto was also improved (?) photo.  He ran all night.  I used Photoshop as my editor of "standard/default" in iPhoto, but now I can't seem to appear in the photo is the photo editor, which is not enough for my purposes.  I have found a workaround that requires images to export], edited and then re-imported to the Photos, but I lose all the original images.  Can I have Photoshop become my default editor for Photos, as if it was in iPhoto?

  3rd party editing application must be updated to work with the new structure of the El Capitan and Photos before they will be able to work seamlessly with Photos.

  In the meantime we must export the original file in the office using the menu option file ➙ export Original unmodified for 1 Photo and edit the file there.

I inherited this project of a previous employee who set up like a long text box, divided into two columns on each page with photos next to columns. What I hope to do is connect the pictures to the individual, so that when a new Member is added, I have not move more than 900 photos up and down, a space for the photo corresponds to the textual information. It is extremely tedious to do so and we have new members all the time.   It is a frequently reported bug when using iMovie ' 09 and 11 under el Capitan even if Apple does not report these incompatible versions.  There were no practical solution other than return to Yosemite or updated (only possible if you have a bootable Yosemite Backup) to update to iMovie 10.1.1.   PS: A similar problem exists with iMovie 10.1 and in this case reduce the resolution of the pictures imported less than 3000 pixels wide to avoid the problem.  I don't think that there is a solution for iMovie ' 09, but it might be interesting to try.

• LR5 error working with photo

  I often get this error when you are working on a photo in LR5. If I stop LR5 and restart error disappears, but it can run on another photo in a few minutes. Very frustrating. With the help of windows 8, 4 GB of ram. Never had these problems on LR3. Seems to be a form any bug because the pictures are fine when I restart. Any ideas?

  Solved.

  It turns out that the default color for my Dell U2413 monitor profile is at the origin of the problem. Changing to srgb profile default windows 8 and everything works fine.

  The index was that I also had gray screens sometimes when the photo error has occurred.

  I can't add a picture of my iPhoto for my movie library, although it clearly said in the Help menu that I can. It will highlight only photobooth to choose.

  Looks like you're looking in the import window that is in the wrong place. In the main iMovie edit screen on the left in the library list, you should see listed iPhoto library. SELECT and in the upper part of the window is a pop-up window where you can choose to display the faces of events, Albums, etc. I assume you are using iMovie 10.x.x.

  I often work with images in Illustrator, creating ads, I know that this is not the best program for this task, but I love it and use it for almost everything these days. When you work with CMYK document, import an image bright beautiful do the artworking and when I save it as a print ready pdf image seems very dull and flat. Nothing like the original .ai file. I usually edit and export photos from lightroom, I don't know if this process is entirely RGB, but there must be away from keep photos of vivid and sharp looking.

  A photo is RGB. When you convert to CMYK, it is bound to duller becomer.

  If you print in the end with (only) the CMYK inks, there is no real escape.

  Otherwise, you can choose file > Document > color Mode > RGB color and keep it RGB (really gloriously Bright).

• Work with Lr from a NAS

  I have a NAS (Network Attached Storage) that I use to store all my photos for the backup. However, I was wondering if I could have Lr directly until the NAS rather than keep the files on my original hard drive (running out of space quickly). My NAS has mirrored of drives so if one goes down, I always have a back-up.

  I don't know if Lr will have problems with the network connection via the SATA connection on my hard drive.

  Yes, you can work with photos on one of the RAID drives and have the other RAID disk-based backups.

  You must point Lightroom to use the RAID drive instead of the internal drive. Please follow the instructions in this document (scroll down to the section called "Part 2 ‑‑ update folder Location"). Future imports should go directly to the RAID drive instead of your internal disk.

• Error with Photo

  I looked through past debates put has not seen something similar to what Im experiencing.

  I did a clean install of OSX 10.9 to an SSD.  I copied my catalogs in HD that was running to a separate SSD 10.7.4.  When I run the catalogs less 10.9 using LR 5.2 I have a permission problem.  Once the value of the permissions to allow access and launch the catalog, it opens and displays the tile and mark photos.  I click on them and it said error working with photo and does not allow me access.  I can access to the catalogues of the 10.7.4 install so that they are not corrupt or at least have no problems to point them to this install of the OS.

  Photos has never worked on Apple TV 4 until today with the 032116 update, but my pictures does not work with the screen saver.
