• Nikon D7000 and Lightroom and elements

  I just bought a Nikon D7000 and cannot open RAW images in Lightroom 2 or 7 elements.  I used these 2 programs successfully with pictures from my Nikon D70s.  If someone has encountered this problem?

  You need Lightroom 3.3 or Elements 9 to process Nikon D7000 raw photos.

  An alternative is to download the DNG Converter (version 6.3) and convert your D7000. NEF files to DNG, in which case your elements and Lightroom versions will be able to process DNG photos.

  A friend helps me with a video project year already has Premiere Pro on a PC so suggested that I get it too for my Mac. However I just can't justify the cost and wonder if it is possible to work on the video from Premiere Pro using elements.

  Obviously not at the same level, but even basic functionality is OK. ?

  Welcome to the forum.

  As Ann says there are not as many X-platform features between pre and PrPro.

  In addition, a PC PREL (PRE project file) is not X-platform compatible with Mac, even with the same version of pre installed. I think it would be a deal breaker for the workflow that describe you.

  Once, it was quite easy to move from the first (not pre and before PrPro 1.0, 2.0 PrPro, also although PC only) projects on a PC to a Mac and vice versa. From Mac to PC, the project file extension should be added, but others that some Transitions and effects, that can exist on a single platform, but not the other, the files were easy to open and edit.

  For a period of time, a PREL (PRE project file) could be opened in PrPro, as long as the versions both programs were a bit contemporary, i.e. PrPro 2.0 could Open pre 4.0 PREL files, as long as there is no themes, Flash movies, or some 3rd party Transitions and effects, NewBlue FX.

  That doesn't seem to be the case with at least PrPro CC, but maybe that reports on incompatibilities had no of "plain vanilla" PREL? Today, I doubt that it there IS much compatibility between pre and PrPro, but am not on CC, so I can't test it completely.

  Good luck, but I don't see what has been proposed works well, or not at all.

  I'm looking for more help to fix a problem. I'll send this request to Adobe, Asus, Corsair and Intel. I am a professional photographer and it is my new computer to support the Nikon D800.

  Problem:

  When you work in Photoshop (CS5) and Lightroom 4 times my computer freezes and I have to do a reboot to kill her to unlock the computer. What happens when you make simple processes like the heaving with airbrush in Photoshop.

  I have to correct this problem, this is my livelihood. Which of the components that I need to replace and with what specifically?

  I7 3970 k Intel CPU

  Motherboard Asus Sabertooth X 79

  GB of Corsair 8-8 for a total of 64 GB of ram (unbuffered)

  Two drives two Western Digital

  Graphics card is a taken Adobe supported ASUS GeForce GTX570

  Windows 7 Professional

  Attempt to correct:

  Dated graphics, and Windows, check and unchecked drivers Open GL drawing but it freeze in either framework. Follow all game Adobe guidelines. Follow the recommendations of NAPP. Had a few bad sticks of RAM waiting on replacement of the Corsair RAM. Computer has 16 GB of ram in it at present, but the characteristics of gel are the same with 64 GB and 16 GB of ram.

  ASUS motherboard has proved to be the problem. Sabertooth X 79 necessary wood up to date. ASUS tech subport helped me. Got that fact today and were not able to get the computer freeze. Been trying all day not a gel. The last two to date for ASUS have beed on stabilization. The wood v I have so far is SABERX79 v 1104.

  At the end of this work, I thought that a copy of this registration in the elements would save in Lightroom, there no. What I am doing wrong? Actually, I did more than just a single photo, but I'm sure it's the principle that I must seize.

  2 when I export an image from Lightroom quite a "photography more than one batch" seems to be transferred through elements, why?

  3. as I want only a photograph to go through what I'm doing wrong.

  4 if I delete photographs in the items I'm not there they will also delete Lightroom files as well. I don't want to lose the photographs.

  5. just a general comment, I got famous with Lightroom, but seem to be fighting with the elements.

• Using Photoshop Elements and Photoshop CC as an external editor in LIghtroom

  I've recently upgraded to LIghtroom CC and it came bundled with Photoshop CC.  I've always used what to change in the past and now is no longer an option of Lightroom Edit - on the menu drop down. The only options for me on the menu drop down LIghtrooms is CC in Photoshop and Color Effex Pro 4.  I am unable to do certain things in Photoshop I did for years in the elements. Can I add items back as secondary external editor or am I forced to use one or the other... Appreciate any help you can provide

  Under the options "Additional external editor", the second line is an application. There is a button to choose, you can click on browse and find Photoshop Elements and that it is the secondary external editor choose.

  If you have made the timeline or out of a movie from the trial version, it will have this watermark on it.

  Once you have purchased and activated the software, you can remove the watermark by going to the folder directory on your computer where your project files are saved and deleting the folder Adobe Premiere elements preview files.

  Adobe Photoshop CS v.8 and Lightroom 2 v.2.4. are very old software and the operating system you are using is the most recent, so there may be compatibility issues that adobe has not tested these applications on newer operating systems.

  The Plan of Photoshop 19.99 includes Lightroom.  I believe the plan of 9.99 has a less busy version of Photoshop functionality or some limitation similar to what get it.
