Workout App

I wonder if the training app makes the watch track calories differently/more precicely.

Say take a walk a hour without starting the training app would be the number of calories in enforcement activity updated differently compared to the exact same drive but with the app to training began and open-air market selected?

I think that the activities are just to mark what you were doing and compare the same activity sessions. You would put the same effort of the activity, so do not see why the metric would be different.

The idea is if you go for a walk every day, you can look back at previous walks and beat your score or do it for longer.

  • Workout App does not define 'fast market' equivalent?

When I use the app to drive on my Apple Watch when I went up on a normal bike, not all of my journey is considered to be a workout.  I can be riding for an hour, but the app decides that the only parts of this time count for a workout.  The explanatory note said I have to do the equivalent of a brisk walk.  What is c?  Is it using my pulse?  If so, it's too bad because I take the medication that slows down quite to the bottom of my heart rate and it is very difficult to be in green all the time.  My bike course map is painted in green, yellow and Red areas.  So if I stop briefly for traffic, it is red and does not count.  If it's yellow, it doesn't count... so it appears.  This means that a one hour bike ride can have only 15 minutes of training time.  That makes no sense to me.  Have I not that bad?

Progress towards your daily goal of exercise of credit, the application of the activity is to identify the activity equal or exceed the intensity of a brisk walk. This requirement applies as well to the general course daily wear and record training sessions through the training exercise credit app which is awarded for each minute during which this condition is met.

The definition of a brisk walk varies from one person to another and depends on your personal information.

To verify that this is correct - and update over time:

    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch (tab) > health > edit - tap and adjust the settings, then press on in fact.

Apple Watch uses different sensors and data sources to track the results of training sessions, depending on the type of activity. For example, with Apple Watch (first generation) and the models of series 1, the watch can access data matched iPhone GPS if it is taken along during the walk outdoors, running and cycling training. (Series 2 has built-in GPS).

Calibrate your watch can improve the accuracy of the estimates made by the activity and workout app app. More information and instructions for calibration of your watch are available via the link below. The article also includes instructions for resetting the calibration data and leave.

If you prefer to receive credits of exercise during the duration of your training sessions, regardless of their estimated intensity levels, follow them through the application of the training session using 'Other' as the type of activity. This credit a minute of exercise for each minute of the workout. Active calories will be estimated at a rate equivalent to a brisk walk or based on the data recorded by the heart rate sensor, according to what is higher.

  • Workout app question

The second day I was wearing my watch, he said that I finished 433 minutes of the goal of exercise of 30 minutes!  Every day since then, I can do 10 minutes.  With similar activities on all these days.  Everyone knows this?

    Hello

Progress towards your daily goal of exercise of credit, the application of the activity is to identify the activity equal or exceed the intensity of a brisk walk. When you are not using the application of training, enforcement activity depends on your arm (measured by the built-in accelerometer) movement to follow the movement to this end, your arms swinging allow it naturally as you walk or run.

Result of your exercise, the second day may have been caused by various factors, as for example: misinterpretation of your arm movements, a workout (in the application of the workout) who was market for longer than expected and/or incorrect personal information have been reported.

To verify that your personal information is accurate (and update over time):

-On your iPhone, in the application of Eve, go to: My Watch tab > health > Edit - tap and adjust the settings, then press on in fact.

You can also calibrate your watch, which will help improve the accuracy of the estimates (including the appropriations for the year) made by the activity and workout app app. More information and instructions on how to calibrate your watch are available via the link below.

  • Helps the workout App Display

How to customize the app to drive to show me the heart rate, distance and calories status all on the same screen during an indoor workout?

    Hello

It is not currently possible to display the heart rate, distance and calories status on the same screen when using the app to drive to record an indoor workout.

Training app can currently view your goal and two metrics:

    • The metric of time (top-right):
      • This can be changed by tapping it, switching between the time of day and the elapsed time.
      • For inside and outside running and walking workouts, pace is also available.
      • For an outdoor cycling training, speed is also available.
    • The primary metric:
      • This can be changed by sliding on the side on this subject.
      • Depending on your type of activity, the choice may include: time, active calories, total calories, heart rate, rhythm, speed and distance.
    • The goal:
      • The objective can be considered as a ring of progress or for distance, calories or the time objectives, as a metric.
      • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch (tab) > training > turn on show metric goal.

However, note that watch OS 3 - coming this fall / fall - allows you to view up to 5 parameters of training at a time without having to swipe: distance, pace, calories, heart rate active and out of time.

Is there maybe some accessibility setting that I can reset?

  • Workout app stuck with zoom

(Apple Watch Sport, watch OS 2.2.1) Except for the initial menu of training options, the rest of the screen in the application of the training session is displayed as one might expect if we had zoomed in a little display (enough to cut the numbers to the extreme left & right displayed).  Not a big deal, but it hides the button 'back' at the top of the screen, make the hardest of keys + / to hit (because they are half hidden), etc.  It would be great if there was a direct challenge, but I'm guessing it would take at least a reinstall of the application.  Is it possible to do this without losing all workout data?

    Hello

Zoom (a function of accessibility) may have been activated on your watch.

To return the contents of the screen to normal size, try double-clicking the screen with two fingers.

Later, if you prefer to disable the Zoom:

    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch (tab) > general > accessibility > Zoom - put it off.
    • Or on your watch, go to: homescreen (via a simple press on the digital Crown) > (cog icon) settings > general > accessibility > Zoom - tap and enable / disable.

  • How see you captured by the app Apple Watch Workout training? app

When you complete a workout using the Apple Watch of training application, it asks if you want to 'Save' the workout.  How you look at these recorded training? Most applications provide a way to see at least the last few workouts, for example, distance, calories, total time, steps, etc. While the different measurements are recorded in the activity log, it does not provide much information to each workout as a unit. I guess I could use another application, but believed that the Apple app would be better.

  • Training app IWatch

I was suspicious of the accuracy of this app to drive so I just did a little test. Sitting at my desk I turned on the indoor cycling workout and he began to credit me with calories burned at a high rate. 60 calories 10 minutes and I do nothing. As soon as I stop the id of the workout drops to almost nothing, which is what I expected because I'm stationary. With cycle workout on it also gave me credit for exercise again when I'm actually walking I get very little credit for exercise and calories burned is a rate lower than me, sitting at my desk. No sense to me. Does anyone have any ideas or an explanation? Guess that's the reason why I can't abandon my fitbit.

    Hello

When follow you an activity using the application of the training session and specify a type of activity, your watch uses the most appropriate sensors and data sources to estimate the outcome of this workout.

For example, when you save a run in the open air:

    • If you also take your iPhone along (with compatible Bluetooth and location Services), your watch can access the GPS of the iPhone data when estimating the PACE and distance.
    • If you do not take your iPhone along, the watch relies on data from the accelerometer in the estimate of the PACE and distance.
    • Data from the heart rate sensor is used during the estimation of the Active Calories, including calculations which are adapted to different activity types.

Calibrate your watch helps improve the accuracy of the different estimates made by the activity and workout app app. More information and instructions for calibration of your watch (including to reset all calibration data) are available via the link below.

Estimates of the results will also depend on your personal information. To verify that this is correct - and update over time:

    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch tab > health > edit - tap and adjust the settings, then press on in fact.
