  I not anchored a Panel and then closed it. somehow now the whole workspace is hidden.  If I click on Premiere Pro in my toolbar (PC), nothing appears.  I tried to restart.   Try to go to Documents > Adobe > PremierePro > 8.0 and you will see a few folders that say profile. I drag those on the desktop and then restart Premiere Pro.

  Inside of those are your layouts and settings... then maybe blow those and start more will help.

  I'm migrating to a new PC.  Where does Captivate store my custom workspaces?  I would like to copy this file so that I have not re - create spaces of my work on my new PC.  I know it's possible in FrameMaker and assume that it is also possible in Captivate but does not know which file (ini or other) these settings are stored in.

  Does anyone know how to remove the large panel in the workspace 8 Captivate?

  Are you talking about the BBB, big bar of buttons on the top of the screen? It is fixed, no way to move, cut, or to hide. Customization has been screwed a lot in this version, even in Expert mode it is untouchable. Ditto for the alignment toolbar, attached to the top of the screen.

  When I try to export all images of a project, only 1-2 gets exported to a folder. Is there an easy way to export all the library (images, audio, animations, etc.) to a specific folder? When I make changes to the images in Captivate I donot want to do one at the time of export. Also, I need to send the editable and any files editable as a package library of others. Thank you

  I could successfully this test at my end. Please make sure that you do not select the options in the category that you can see the image above and select only the files.

  Also try the steps below and see if that helps. We re-create preferences such as corrupt preferences that could be. Practice your customizations on the workspace will be lost, but don't worry renames the Preferences folder and it will not remove so that we can return.

  In order to recreate the preferences, follow these steps.

  • Save your project.
  • Close Captivate
  • [Windows 7: C:\Users\[user name] folder of Captivate 6 \Local\Adobe\Adobe \AppData (hidden folder)
  • Windows XP: Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 6 record - [user name] C:\Documents and Settings\
  • Mac: /Users/ [user name] / Library/Preferences/Adobe Captivate 6 folder
  • Rename the folder 6 Captivate what either.
  • Launch Captivate and try to export again.

• Captivate 6 Audio plays is not in preview

  I was insert audio into my slides in Captivate 6 project without problem. I inserted them, clicked on play, and they worked. This morning, however, I found that none of my audio would play when I click Play at the bottom of my calendar. He will play in the window audio slide when I double click on the audio. It will play when I click on the preview in the Menu Insert button. So why he won't play in the game under the timeline bar? Any ideas?

  This could be due to corrupted preferences.

  We could try to re-create the preferences, but it will remove your customizations in the workspace. But we will not completely remove the Preferences file, so we can get it back.

  In order to recreate the preferences, follow these steps.

  • Save your project.

  • Close Captivate

  • [Windows 7: C:\Users\[user name] folder of Captivate 6 \Local\Adobe\Adobe \AppData (hidden folder)

  • Windows XP: Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 6 record - [user name] C:\Documents and Settings\

  • Mac: /Users/ [user name] / Library/Preferences/Adobe Captivate 6 folder

  • Rename the folder 6 Captivate what either.

  • Launch Captivate and test your project.

• Captivate 5.5 - effects window is empty without feature, how do I get it back?

  5.5 Captivate project.  When I choose any image in this project to add an effect, will display the window of the effect but it is completely empty.  No functionality on the screen at all.

  Tried for a new project, same thing no effect?  Project underway, same thing.

  I am new to Captivate development. Am I missing something basic?

  I guess you already tried to change workspaces, there is a workspace effects but doubt it will solve your problem?

  Because you do not see what in the Panel, you can't even go to the effects folder. First try to clear the cache of the Captivate (preferences, General settings).

  Even this will not help I think, but worth a try.

  Next step is to close the Captivate and delete the Preferences file. This folder is located in your profile, and that depends on the OS. It is labeled Captivate 5.5. On my laptop Win7 it is in this way:

  \Users\\Appdata\Local\Adobe

  You can safely remove the whole folder of Captivate 5.5 it (attention: this is a system file, so you may need to change the settings for Explorer because normally it is hidden). You will lose all customizations.  When you restart Captivate will create a fresh folder with the default settings and there is good chance you retrieve your effects Panel.

• Problem with the display of help on hidden objects

  I started the conversion of an application to make use of the universal theme. The way I did is create a new system of menu navigation from this part of zero with the universal theme.

  I loaded my old 4.1.0.00.3 application in my workspace and began to copy pages in my new app. The problem that I am facing is bound to the elements of the region that appear under certain conditions. When the items are hidden, the help icon is (surrounded by a circle point of mark) still visible, stand-alone meeting in the middle of the region. If you click on it it displays help for a field that is not visible:

  Hello. Thank you. I ended up remove and re-create the item that did the trick.

  I'm guessing that he in some way I messed up migrate objects from 4.1 to 5.

• Calling an external javascript variable in captivate

  I need captivate to reference an external JavaScript variable to check if its value is 1 or 0. If the value is '1' I need to display a button, if the '0' button is hidden.
