  I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

  Method 1: Unregister and register the Windows Setup program again

  (a) click Start, run, type MSIEXEC /Unregister. and then click OK. Even if you do it right, it may seem that nothing is happening.

  (b) click Start, click Run, type MSIEXEC/REGSERVER, and then click OK. Even if you do it right, it may seem that nothing happens, or you can briefly see an hourglass. After you run this command, the operation is complete.

  Method 2: Run check file system (CFS) analyses and checks to see if it helps.

  File system (CFS) Checker

  Note: System File Checker allows an administrator to analyze the files all protected to check their versions. If the System File Checker detects that a protected file has been replaced, it retrieves the correct version of the file in the folder cache (% Systemroot%\System32\Dllcache) or the Windows installation source files and then replaces the incorrect file.   Download as well by automatic installation that appears when I plug in the printer, as well as through Windows Update, crashes at 66% finished. After a while the installation process and Windows Update just keeps sitting there. There is no network traffic. The download of the driver itself is supposed to be 6.9 MB according to the process of installation and 6.6 Mo according to Windows Update.

  Is it possible to erase the 66% already downloaded restart the download completely, as currently, it restarts the process from there, or is it possible to download the driver manually? This is supposed to be a relatively new pilot, published December 20, 2012. Canon offers no download driver for Win 7 for this printer, only pilot addons and another piece of software that helps with the installation of the printer at all.

  I suspect a corrupted system file. SFC could fix that. Reset Internet Explorer can help. At worst, I think you can fix it with a relocation, or "inplace upgrade" Win 7 from the installation DVD.

  To determine if the problem you are experiencing is caused by one or more system files that are used by Windows, run the System File Checker tool. The System File Checker tool analyzes the system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.

  To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

  1. click Startand type cmd in the box start the search .

  2 right-click cmd in the programs list and then click run as administrator.

  3. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue

  4. at the command prompt, type the following line and press ENTER: sfc/scannow

  As suggested, I've resorted to uninstall/reinstall Photoshop CC (2014) to solve the problem. It seems a bit of a sledge hammer approach, but it did not take too long.

  As for the original cause of the problem, it may be associated with the fact that I also have Photoshop elements 11 is installed. I was able to recreate a similar problem when you try to update bridge CC. During installation, the update has complained that "ElementsAutoAnalyzer" was in running and (once this had been arrested) the update was not recovered successfully.   Solution Center crashes after Windows update KB3132372 10 (December 29, 2015).

  The Windows Device Manager shows not installed printer as on a regular basis.

  Printer will print but scanning is very heavy and the ink levels will not appear.

  Uninstall and reinstall will not work.  Software will work properly only if Windows update is uninstalled.
