Workstation 9: mouse leaves no window of computer virtual (Windows XP prompt, tools installed)

Description of the problem:

When the mouse is caught by the virtual machine, the mouse does not leave the VM when moved to the borders.

Host operating system: Ubuntu 10.04 64bits, all installed updates. It happens with and without active Visual effects.

Also this problem with Workstation 9.0 (e.x.p) WTP and 9.0.0 build-812388

VMWare tools have been installed to the latest version.

The problem is reproducible when creating the virtual machine to start from scratch with a CD Windows XP SP2 install with or without easy installation.

I also tried to install tools before Windows updates, and after the installation of SP3.

The following steps ALLOW the automatic ungrabbing but there other questions (could help determine the cause):

Option 1:

1. remove the hub USB of VM (this alone does not)

2 uninstall VMWare pointing device driver

3 reset

-> After reboot the mouse pointer is able to ungrab automatically, however the mouse is slow

-> Windows redétecte the VMMouse driver and moved again

4 reboot

-> back to the old behavior (impossible to ungrab automatically)

Option 2:

1 edit the VMX file:

vmmouse. Present = "FALSE".

Mouse.vUSB. Activate = "FALSE".

2. start on XP

-> managed to escape (automatic ungrab) borders

-> mouse is slow, don't not ungrab when you try to click on the window in front of the VM host

Any help would be appreciated! Automatic Ungrab is one of the most important elements to work seamlessly with a virtual machine...

Great! This means that there is a button is physically stuck on your mouse, or there is software installed on your host computer that pretended force/a button down (not necessarily your click left or right buttons).

If there is a button stuck on the physical mouse, set up with a different mouse should solve the problem.

If the button stuck suite software, then you have to find it and uninstall it, or only work with this configuration option. Unfortunately, with this configuration option, when you click and drag in the virtual machine and hit the edge, you forced himself at the window, and instead, you will be ungrab. This may end up being an annoying quirk, that you will have to get used to.

Don't worry about trying to install another virtual computer, it won't make a difference.

"And do not hesitate to pass your ' Gaming Mouse ' definition back to 'Auto '.

For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Svchost.exe is free running and leaves multiple windows open all gel. Re-loaded windows XP after a crash with original rescue records.

Original title: Windows XP - free race - is lost.

Just re - load windows XP after a crash with original rescue discs, svchost.exe is free running and leaves several Windows Open gel, all on and offline. Any ideas? I ran ms-fixit beta for all listed. I also disabled Norton and now use Windows Defender, still no luck.

    Hi MarkBerri,

    ·         How long have you been faced with this problem?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

Svchost.exe is a process name generic host for services that run from dynamic link (dll) libraries. The Svchost.exe file is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32. At startup, Svchost.exe checks the registry services part in order to build a list of services that it needs to load. Multiple instances of Svchost.exe can run at the same time. Each Svchost.exe session can contain a grouping of services. Therefore, separate services can run, depending on how and where Svchost.exe is started. This grouping of services enabling better control and easier debugging.

Svchost.exe groups are identified in the following registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Svchost

  • Scrolling the mouse stuck with (Windows 7) wireless mouse

I have an optical mouse Labtec wireless for laptops. It causes a scrolling to happen unintentionally with the sliders and the drop-down lists, as long as the mouse is positioned on the element.

    For example:

    (1) when I joined these forums and had to choose a country made mouse scroll down to the bottom without my intervention (other than by selecting the menu drop-down). Almost all the drop-down boxes tend to be done regardless of what program it is in.

    (2) if I try to adjust the volume in the system triggers the sound mouse tray even when I'm trying to lower it.

    (3) in some programs of the mouse scrolls the page automatically. It does not work with all programs. Chrome, IE, Firefox, Acrobat, Notepad and many others is not affected.

    (4) I don't have these problems with XP at all, but I did when I used Ubuntu (mouse would scroll the tabs and cycle always to the first area of the taskbar of Ubuntu.) I had to alt - tab to switch windows).

    (5) for my first installation of Chrome, the mouse would be automatically scroll the tabs to the first even if I haven't done stationary above the tabs. I could could properly select another tab if I clicked it and then left mouse tabs quickly.

I did which solved the problem:

" The document suggested to change some registry values to disable this behavior of high resolution. So I did exactly cela and adds the following entries 2 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\HID\Vid_xxxx & Pid_yyyy\\Device Parameters

    I'm puzzled. Can anyone help?

  • Combo sculpt comfort keyboard/mouse Microsoft - mouse problem driver windows 7

Just bought a new combo desktop Microsoft Sculpt comfort (keyboard and mouse). I have a problem with the mouse in Windows 7.

This mouse has the button scan blue on the left where you can drag upward or down and click. I have this attached to a Dell E6520 laptop.

In windows 8 the slide it towards the bottom of the function pulls the top of the list of open windows. In Windows 7, it's the browser's "back" button. I installed the latest microsoft mouse and keyboard software 2.3.

When I first installed the drive, everything works as expected. Suddenly the button works like the browser's "back" button. A few hours later, or after a reboot slide down begins to open the windows instead. The only way to fix is to uninstall the driver and re install. I tried the USB in USB ports and all are working the same.

How can I solve this problem? I called Microsoft support and they said to return the system and replace it. It is not a hardware problem and return it will do no good.

    Any help would be useful.

  • How to activate the Internet connection on Windows Server 2003 is installed in the virtual machine in VMware Workstation 8?

I have Windows Server 2003 is installed on a virtual machine in VMware Workstation 8. I need it to learn and practice the use of the Active Directory. I've also set up 3 Windows XP workstations connect to it, which means that they can communicate with Server 2003. What is lacking is the Internet connection on all of them. When I run ping 8.8.8.8 in one of these virtual machines, I get, 'Destination host unreachable.'

I'm not sure, what if the problem comes from the settings in Windows or the settings of the virtual machine.

    Can someone help me?

Thank you, guys. I was finally able to put in place. It was quite an ordeal to deal with IP addresses and virtual networks. Here's how I did (in the screenshots) in case someone else needs it.

(I also confess that it is perhaps one of the ways to implement. Maybe there is an easier way to do it with DHCP...)

    1. in your computer where is installed VMware Workstation 8 begin the "Virtual Network Editor." It is located in the folder of installation of VMware Workstation. And implement the network following (VMnet2 in my case):

2 then in VMware Workstation itself in the virtual machine when Windows Server 2003 is installed set up two network as connections:

This one is for external access to the Internet:

And this one for intranet communications AD:

    3. then in the machine virtual de Windows Server 2003 set up what follows for two network adapters:

    For Internet access:

Then, you need allow this connection to share:

And then for the ad access to workstations (ensure that the static IP address is in the range specified in the virtual network over VMnet2 network editor). I've also set up DNS to 127.0.0.1 because I installed on this Windows 2003 DNS server:

    4. from the Windows 2003 VM try ping 8.8.8.8. It should work now.

    5. go to each workstation, in my case, Windows XP, each in its own virtual machine and set up the network in the VMware Workstation as follows:

    6. then in the virtual machine, configure the network connection for Windows XP workstation. Don't forget to assign a new static IP address for each workstation, which not coinside with IP of the domain (this IP address must come from the range specified in the virtual network over VMnet2 network editor):

    7. try first ping the domain, in my case ping 192.168.237.128. And then Internet, ping 8.8.8.8. The two should work!

    Continue with steps [5-7].

  • mouse enter table for mouse leave cell

    Hi all

I enclose a vi that I'm looking for help. I spent many hours doing this work, looking for examples, using the help and examples, etc. but hit the proverbial wall.

'Factory data' tab is a table with 3 columns and 15 rows containing strings. The first column heading is the name of meta to a number of channels (h - On, Zac, Cap etc.).

The coloumn of description contains a brief description of the string (string voltage photovoltaic, PV string current eyc.) The second column contains the units for the measured value (V, mA, kWh, etc.).

I was able to get the position of the individual cell and it together in an array of strings which give additional data for this cell entry showing this string in a FP view

That's what I want to do, rather than what IS happening

Get rid of the display of the explanation and use a pop up... I don't want to anugly information on the FP box

Instead of using the mouse down, I would like to have mice enter (and mouse leave), THE INDIVIDUAL CELL, to make the popup to disappear

That's practically all I want at the moment

If someone could give me an idea how I would be grateful.

    Thank you

  • Hovering over the triggers Drop Down Menu event "mouse Leave"

Hi, if anyone can help with this problem, I would be very grateful.

I have a tab control changing to another page when the user enters or mouse leaves the tab control. The purpose of this is so that the tab control becomes invisible when colored 'transparent', according to the movement of the user's mouse. This allows the full screen to use to display the video when the menus are not necessary, and menus can be displayed when the user enters into the surface of the tab. There is also a button to lock the menu in place.

It worked fine until I added a few rings of text to a menu tab. When the user clicks on the drop-down arrow and hovers over the elements, the case of the event as if the mouse has left the tab control, tab resets back to page 1 (white page). I don't want to do it, but I still want to use the drop down menus because they are more concise and more convenient than the alternatives (listboxes, etc.). This does not happen with the buttons and other controls, only with the drop-down menus, AFAIK.

Can anyone suggest a work around? I chose this method of relaxation because it is less demanding in processor using the mouse move event coordinates to trigger the tabs appear. I need to save so much time processor for video capture possible. I enclose my vi (Labview 2010 32-bit) with the gray tabs so you can see and test the value for yourself.

I would add one for the event to "Operate the Menu Activation" for the controls of the ring.  This simply fuels a real constant in a shift register in time loop.  In the mouse enter and leave events add a case structure and change the pages only when the value Boolean false.  Ensure that supply the true value in the registry to offset in the mouse leave case also (other cases may use the Default of False if you don't have to string wires in all cases).

Quick MOD after extraction of the stuff IMAQ, remove also the delay in case of loop Structure, provides it ARE necessary delays.
