When I update the firmware on my router from 1.0.04)is to 1.0.05, the process is complete, but when it refreshes back to the home page, it still shows 1.0.04)is.

I'm trying to update the firmware to fix a problem with abandonment every 10 minutes wireless which seems to be set by this new firmware update.

We have heard that the site has been updated and good firmware has been applied. Can you try to download it again and respond with your progress?

  • Win7 Vista upgrade nearly complete but stops due to auto-restart failure

I'm trying to upgrade Vista Home Premium to Win7 Home Premium on my Sony laptop. I don't want to do a clean install of Win7 since I have a lot of older programs that I do not have the diskettes to install for more long.

The upgrade progresses through most stages (3 hours), but then he tries to do the first Setup reboot and fails with this msg:

"Windows has no prepare the computer to start the next phase of the installation."  To install windows, restart the installation. »

I tried again from the beginning and got the same result.     I made sure my computer (Vista) could well make a Start Menu-> Restart, and, in fact, he did. I.e. not hang up as he tried to stop.

So, what does this error message?  Is there something I can do to correct what is the cause?

(Fortunately, I had a backup of my files from the user.)   My main boot disk could be damaged?

    Thank you...

The first thing I would do is make a backup of your installation of Windows Vista on an external hard drive.

Best software free backup - EaseUS Todo Backup free

1 disable any security software before attempting to upgrade

    2. make sure that your computer is updated (devices and applications)

    3. disconnect all external devices before installing.

    4. check your hard disk for errors:

    Click Start

Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD

    Click on "Run as Administrator"

At the command prompt, type: chkdsk /f /r

When you restart your system, your computer will be scanned for errors and will try to correct them.

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    User account control permission

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

  • Firmware upgrade SF300 - 24 p - can skip intermediate versions

    I have a SF300 - 24 p firmware version 1.1.2.0 running switch.

I want to get the latest version (1.2.9.44) - can I go directly to the latest code or what I do scroll all versions, between the two?

You can go directly to 1.2.9.44.

Here's the thing. the original software 1.0.0.27 to 1.1.2.0 should have no problem and require no step ups. On the 1.2.7.76 changed the xml format. You can upgrade 1.1.2.0 to 1.2.9.44 and it should work for most very well. However, if there is no problem the switch should get factory reset.

That's because the same 'rule' apply to the 1.2.7.76 software which is the only software between these releases.

I am trying to download the latest version of for example Illustrator (October 2014, including libraries of creative cloud, Lady with sunglasses version) on my computer, but somehow, I still get the old version of (no libraries, version of Lion). Do I did wrong? I have tried a new download of the creative cloud, removed all apps and tried a new Illustrator... still the "old" version

Jeff, I thought that maybe my keychain on my iMac opportunity (I don't have the password) was the problem, then this afternoon I had a Mac Helpdesker synchonization on my desk to help me get rid of this problem. His advice: try a new user to test on your computer to see what makes the cloud to create Adobe. It was still the 'old' version po Illustrator. His advice: re - install your computer... that's what I did and now I have a brand new OS X Yosemite, trousseau AND the new version of Adobe CC and all programs, I want to use. Hello plantingrichard, first of all, it would be useless to worry about Firmware updates, because data for these Firmware updates are stored in the devices that the firmware has been installed for.

You may be able to restore the system with the feature of restoration of HP Recovery from the hard drive to the system startup and the F - 11 key when the HP Logo screen. Just as it was when shipped, it would put all HP applications on the system.

You can then use the Vista DVD disk and perform an inplace of Windows Vista SP1 upgrade.

If you don't want all HP applications, you can perform a new installation of Vista.

You may be able to locate the Vista SP2, but I suggest the Windows Update site and download and install all updates including Vista SP2.

If you have a DVD of Vista SP2, you can use it to upgrade or new installation. The Vista SP2 would have included in the DVD of Vista SP2 SP1 updates.

As you suggest, it will take some time to complete, but you'd probably have a more stable system using this approach.

  • LaserJet M4345 MFP firmware upgrade failure using the HP Download Manager

    Hi all

I have a LaserJet M4345 multifunction printer, and I tried to see if there is any updated firmware for the printer.
When I try to access the web configuration interface, I see that the printer is running a firmware with 20070213 code 09.071.8

I downloaded the software from the HP Download Manager to try to update the printer automatically with a simple procedure.

The program finds the printer and said that she needed upgrade. He showed that the printer is model J7949E and current firmware V.33.14 while the update of the Firmware version has been V.33.21

I leave the program to start the process of update, but as soon as I said to start the update immediately (do not), a new window will appear showing the status of update and it closed after less than a second, replaced by another saying that the firmware update was complete.

Although I was skeptical about the process in so little time, I tried to check again the printer web configuration interface, but it showed that the firmware was always the same, I saw earlier (20070213 09.071.8). To try to detect the printer from the Manager software download HP found that the printer was still need upgrading (and asked me if I wanted to do now). Try once led to the same results.

I tried to restart the printer, the program and the computer with no result.

I'm running Windows 7 32 bit and the printer is connected to the router which I connect this pc wireless.

If I can provide any other information, please let me know.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    Piero

Hey Unreal, the product that you have is a printer. These commercial products can be a little tricky. For the best chance of finding a solution, I would post in the forum for HP Business Support.

  • SGE2010 - Firmware upgrade and config does not save

    Hi all

I have a few questions, but ill start with what im trying to achieve.

With the help of the EMS 2010 for Microsoft NAP with 802.1 x auth for access to the switch, which has led to some questions

What I have: an EMS 2010 48 port switch firmware 3.0.0.17

Firmware update: to ensure im not having not problems due to the old firmware, I tried to upgrade using ros_ls1_bp_ge_bx - 3020.ros to 3.0.2, by downloading the file through TFTP, the transfer is complete and that's all, nothing happens.

Restarting the device: as part of the upgrade process, I thought I might restart, so I rebooted and found that all my settings were cleaned, as if a reset occurred... and add further pain, the backup of the settings I had taken do not appear to introduce themselves with a new request.

NAP support: so I tested my server NPS (RADIUS) with NTRadping.exe and everything is good, however I can't the SGE2010 to talk to it... the authenticator State in the web interface is still listed as initializing... I'm not sure if it is a simple mismatch (where the attempt of a firmware upgrade), a tag that should be on the side of RADIUS or switch misconfig.

    So, in summary:

    (1) how the hell you upgrade the firmware?

    (2) why are none of my saved settings to restart the device?

    (3) if anyone one of them puts up with PAN and has all wisdom of bone beads, let me know.

Hi Ben, once you update the firmware, you need to go to the active image, apply the second image. Restart the unit. Regarding the configuration of switch, you must save the configuration running at startup configuration

Admin-> file management-> copy files (running at startup)

  • 200 d IOmega IX4 Firmware upgrade failure

    Hello

I have an IX4 - 200 d which I inherited. Initially, it wouldn't boot and display only the symbols of USB stick/network after about 60 seconds.

With some searching on Google, I created a boot disk USB with the firmware updated on this issue. All goes well until the Firmware upgrade begins. I go to the step of (what I assume is) the upgrade of the firmware and it gets 75%, hold for 5 seconds and then the machine stops.

I tried to repeat the update of the firmware with all the drives present, with every other drive in the first slot and with all the disconnected drives. But it seems to behave in the same way.

Is this a known issue? Or could it be a hardware failure?

I'm pretty eager to find a solution - it takes a long time for me to accept defeat.

The only other suggestion that suggested Dr. Google is to start linux and reformat the hard drive?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Pete

    Hi André,.

    This case can be closed.

After the above mentioned procedure eventually work, I didn't know that - ALL readers should be present and formatted during an attempt of USB firmware update / install.

The link again on the forum - http://forum.nas-central.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4401

This seems to be the only solution.

    Kind regards

  • Firmware upgrade question

I have a Zip Clip + and a Clip. I was wondering if the firmware used by the two players is the same. The reason I ask, is this evening I was asked to upgrade (Clip Zip +) but I can't upgrade the Clip.

The Clip shows V01.02.16P, then the clip Zip + is using V01.01.20A. I tried to update the Clip but for some reason, the update does not appear, there is a new version. Is this good? Thank you.

What you probably, it's a Clip + and a Zip Clip. No, they do not use the same fimrware. 01.02.16 is the latest firmware for the clip + is why the updater does not provide an update.

  • Jump and mix tracks after firmware upgrade?

I can't explain it. Since the latest firmware upgrade Fuze my wife started jumping titles (for example jump to the next song to halfway through the current), but a funniest part - he mixes parts of files. We can listen to a song, and then all of a sudden he would be interrupted by 1 second of a file from a different album and then come back to play the first song from the point it was interrupted. What gives?

Me that was too much.  I downloaded all my music back and reset my Fuze and reformatted it.

Charge of excessive songs and back on went.

  • BEFW11S4 v.4 and Vista - firmware upgrade failure

    Hello

I've had this router for about 5 years, it runs with XP without any problem. Since I got a new laptop with Vista, the wireless connects for an hour or two, and then falls back and I have to unplug the router for five seconds, then reconnect to reconnect (my other laptop with XP has not this problem).

I understand that there is compatibility between the BEFW11S4 v. 4 and Vista problems so I tried to update the firmware of dartybox.com and kept getting a message that failed. I hard rebooted the router but button of restart 30 seconds and the upgrade has always failed. I so re-set to factory settings through the online admin to the router, re-uploaded the implementation level and still got the emssage failed (I am sure that the model number & version is correct and I download the appropriate firmware upgrade).

Is there anything else I can do another one) buy a new router; (b) living with school drop-outs; (c) remove Vista and go back to XP?

    Thank you

    Bigdank

Genius! I have changed the name of code.bin, went to the admin > tab upgrade firmware and the upgrade file. I had a wireless without interruption ever since, even after the awakening of the laptop to sleep.

    Thanks for your help

  • BEFSR81 Firmware Upgrade Gone Bad?

Just putchased a new BEFSR81 router.  Using the installation CD, I got it Setup and works very well.  Then, I went to the support of Linksys and found page a more recent version of the firmware.  My version is 2.51.4.  I downloaded the 2.51.4.6 version and installed. I made sure to choose the version for my model 3.1. He appeared to install OK, because I got the message that it was for the page in 5 seconds.  Now I can't go to the web-based configuration page.  I can ping 192.168.1.1 and get a normal response, but by entering that address in my browser just times out.  I turned off the router and even held the reset for 30 seconds, but don't can't go in the web-based configuration page.

This router is now watered?  Do I need to send it back?

Thanks for any help on this.
