• Yokogawa WT210 do interact with LabVIEW (or anything else)

  Hey all,.

  I have a wattmeter Yokogawa WT210 I'm reading from.  I downloaded the Yokogawa drivers for Labview device built into the finder driver instruments and can pull up examples.  I also have the appropriate wiring (DB25 to DB9 to USB) who works with other devices (including a spectrophotometer, I had to write drivers for myself - PITA).  The question is when I run the sample programs, nothing happens.  I get an error in time-out for the first command that is sent to the device (* IDN?).  If I am wiring a 'false' in the 'control of ID?' errors of command in the same way.  It's as if the unit will not respond to all orders.  I think I put instrument in the right seat (488.2 throughout the series in 'Local' - windows and device settings menu both have same speed baud rate, parity, etc. - using the default values).  I also looked at the manual a bit.  I've seen other people on the forums get examples of programs working with little trouble, so I know that the drivers are ok... anyone got any ideas?

  EDIT: Also, it won't work with one of the downloaded programs on the site of Yokogawa, but then again, I do not know if I use this software to the right.  I have not tried their WTViewer... or whatever it is called.

• wt210 GPIB driver for modbus series

  Hello

  I work with a digital power of yokogawa wt210 meter that has only a connection series (db25).

  I downloaded labview drivers and uses a modbus interface to communicate via GPIB.

  Thus, between the serial port to set modbus modbus GPIB for pc USB wt210 (4899a) interface.

  Max recognizes the 4899a, but does not see the power meter. Any ideas on how I can use this driver for the powermeter?

  You can use the interface RS-232 of the WT210 or, if it is installed on the instrument, the GPIB interface.

  As Dennis said no. MODBUS.

  Download the examples on the site of Yokogawa and read the manual of the instrument.

• WT210 playback of an external sensor

  Hello

  I need help on the use of external sensor to read current in LabVIEW. Are there examples? What I did, the example of the "value of measuring Mode", I connect Config Ext sensor scaling. I don't know if it of fair or not.

  You can compare the orders that are in the control function in the manual. I have not used this instrument.

• Error code 1073807346 visa.

  I'm contacting a digital wattmeter of Yokogawa WT210.  My LabVIEW application test works very well initially, getting data from this instrument, but ONLY errors after exactly 4 loops.  My program contains two frames.  I connect the resource (GPIB::5) for the second image and then in a while loop.   I've seen a lot of explaining on this error 1073807346, but mine seems unique because it works perfectly at first, but only through measure 4 loops before getting the error.  I use a GPIB OR.  I checked the "automatically close VISA session" and it is NOT enabled.  Any ideas?  Thank you.

  RESOLVED: I write to anyone who is interested.  Support OR contribute to focus on this issue.  It turns out that LabVIEW drivers I got from Yokogawa, missing some important features.  NOR has THEIR drivers for the same instrument, and it worked fine.  No VISA session failed.  The difference is that pilots NOT included 'initialize' and 'Cancel' the functions which were required for the instrument to function properly and not suspend the VISA session.  My lesson from this was to always use drivers OR wherever possible.
