• My Netbook Mini has the WWAN capability?

  My daughter is in the Corp of peace in South Africa and only has a cell phone connectivity.

  This particular Mini will allow Internet, using a cellular connection. There is no Wifi available.

  If so, how? Is there something that plugs into the USB port, a card or what?

  A laptop needs more of a slot for sim card.

  I bet you that the laptop of the OP has a sim card slot.

  What it doesn't have, is a WWAN card, nor the antennas that the WWAN card has need to get good reception.

  Without a WWAN card and WWAN antenna, the SIM card slot is useless.

  I opened my computer to clean the fan and noticed that the WWAN slot (correct me if I'm wrong) was empty. Since I did not need support WAN I was wondering if I could install an SSD there. I've heard say that some double slots as mSATA slots WWAN. What is the case for the W520? This card would work?

  The short and long answer is Yes.

  I have the same machine and have installed a 128 GB Plextor PX-128M5M for use as a very large cache via expresscacche.

• X 1 carbon (contactless) WWAN option

  I recently tried to buy a carbon X 1 with WWAN found but the option isn't there anymore on the web.

  Could someone Lenovo please help me find:

  1. If and how I can order a custom with the WWAN capability?
  2. Is this temporary or X 1 carbon WWAN is interrupted? Alternatively, put in other words, should I wait for / to expect the possibility of re - emerge if I can't do it today?

  • Lenovo and ask. Sometimes sellers you can get things that are not in the online store.
  • Choose a standard personal systems reference model and are looking for a supplier with it in stock.

  I'm looking for laptops with built-in WWAN.  However, I don't see this option when I'm shopping at the official site. In the wireless section, the only choice is related to the Wifi / bluetooth, WWLAN No.

  Is it possible to eliminate all the ThinkPad team WWAN?  or does show anywhere if the model is ready WWAN or WWAN capable?  Thank you!

  where are you looking for mobile shopping? Look at this page and you will find an example of x 230 configuration with or without built-in 3 g and even the modem LTE (Yes, for the United States only).

  My skills and supervision tell me any new generation of ThinkPad (x 230 including) are wwan ready i.e. resume adapter card wwan antenna kit and sim (of course, if they have free mini pci-e slot). But the statement - "WWAN ready" or 'WWAN Option' - is now missing in the description of the laptop on the Lenovo support site as we have seen earlier. And you can adapt wwan card yourself later.

  Also, look at the options to display Type on the page of my link above. You see that all screens are made up of antennae kits, i.e.laptop is ready wwan in all cases.

  I needed WWAN on my laptop. because there were no construction in already I have not decided to go to the LENOVO distributor to buy a. they sold me 43R9153 module, which is currently installed in my laptop, but there is nothing new in my system. I am using windows 7 32 bit PRO. the wwan in the login switch to grey, in FN + F5 it is no WWAN. What should I do? I have yet found a solution.

  You must make sure that WWAN is enabled in the BIOS and install the driver for this card. Here is a link to download the driver for this card, but as you can see it X 300 is not listed as a supported model.

  '43R9153' is adapter WWAN Ericsson. Unless I am mistaken, that it won't work with the X 300. I think you need "43R9152" or "43R9151" (Sierra Wireless MC8775 or Sierra Wireless MC5725) for the X 300. I'm almost certain that the WWAN Ericsson adapter will not work with the X 300.

  No installed antennas

  No Sim Card slot

  No pcie slots to accept a card 3g

  On the positive side, it has a pcie slot which has the attatched wireless and she also supposrts Bluetoooth 4 + HS (High speed) - the atheros one

  No, you wouldn't need all the drivers up to what you have installed a WWAN device. A device driver for the WWAN card would become necessary if you install a WWAN, such as Gobi 3000 WWAN card. (This is a compatible WWAN card is an option for your machine.)

  Here is my config and the actions that I have tried:

  ASUS N73sv, onboard video intel hd 3000 and nvidia gforce gt 540 m, 10 Windows

  Here's what I've tried and that did not work:

  -Uninstall and reinstall the latest version of quicktime

  -run in administrator mode

  -update drivers for my nvidia gforce gt 540 m graphics card

  -try an older driver for my gforce gt 540 m

  -put my computer in mode performance pmy gforce in priority

  -Uninstall reinstall first

  -Completely reset my pc

  -Use "sniffer gpu" and find my 2 video cards

  -use the software mini 'gpu - z' to see if my gt 540 m video card worked fine

  -use a benchmark to see also if it worked

  -crying, but did not work or

  I am very very tired.

  I don't know that it must be something completely stupid, it's very frustrating.
