XAMPP

Hi I have a new computer and loaded all of my Dreamweaver stuff on it, but I have a problem with xammp it gives me this error

21:29:42 [main]All the prerequisites found
21:29:42 [main]Initialization of Modules
21:29:42 [apache]Problem detected!
21:29:42 [apache]Port 80 is used by 'Can't open the process' with 4 PID!
21:29:42 [apache]Apache WILL NOT start without the configured ports free!
21:29:42 [apache]You must uninstall/disable/reconfigure the application blocking
21:29:42 [apache]or reconfigure Apache and control panel to listen on a different port
21:29:42 [main]From Check-Timer
21:29:42 [main]Loan from Control Panel

can someone help me with this please.

Thanks, Jeff

I do not use xampp, I have wamp for windows.   When port 80 conflicts have arisen for one of my clients, it was caused by Skype, so we took away from Skype settings port assignments and wamp issues went away.

Conflict XAMPP/Skype

XAMPP and Skype have a conflict. At the start of Skype (with default settings), it binds the ports 80 and 443 as listening ports. Even if you turn off Skype, it retains the port assignment and will not allow Apache to use port. The solution is to go in the Skype settings (Tools--> Options--> Advanced--> connections) and uncheck the listening ports.

I hope this helps!

    "I am trying to install Xampp win32 - 1.7.7 on my windows 7, but it displays a quick message saying" because an active user account on your system user account some features of XAMPP are probably limited. with UAC, please avoid to install XAMPP in C:\program files (missing permissions). Or disable UAC with msconfig after this installation. " What does mean? and what do I do to install the software?

    original title: Troubleshooting

    Hi, Sabri,

    Try this

    -In Vista, you must be logged on as administrator and also to disable UAC (User Account Control), as it restricts certain administrative functions necessary to the functioning of a web server - you will be an administrator of the web server after the installation of XAMPP.

    Install XAMPP in the root of a drive or a partition, for example to the C:\ drive so you end up with all of C:\xampp installation files - do not install XAMPP in a folder with a space in name and remember that all things in XAMPP are case-sensitive.

    To turn off UAC, go to
    Start > Control Panel > user accounts
    you will find an option
    Enable or disable the User Account Control
    just click on it and uncheck the box
    User account control to help protect your computer
    Click OK.

    If you also have IIS installed and active, then you won't be able to run XAMPP on port 80 and SSL on port 443.

    Simply disable IIS you won't need it if you are installing XAMPP and Apache.
    To disable IIS, go on
    Start > Control Panel > programs and features
    on the far left, you will find an option
    Turn on or off Windows features
    Click on it and uncheck the box
    Internet Information Services
    Click OK
    and then restart your computer.

  • XAMPP Stacks now have MariaDB as default, any problems?

    Autumn last Apache rolled on a XAMPP (version 5.6.14) battery, which, for the first time, had MariaDB and MySQL as its database.  MariaDB version 5.6.14 interface not the phpMyAdmin in the pile and MariaDB seemed to have instability in the table user which prevented one of adding users.  I gave up and I went back to a prior XAMPP stack that had MySQL because it is much more stable and have used this version as my test environment since.

    Last fall the MariaDB instability discussed in the thread favorite tool of Managment DB?

    Now I note download XAMPP Apache uses exclusively MariaDB and not MySQL, in its current battery, including battery that has PHP 7.0.3.  It seems that if you want to use MySQL in a stack, you have to dig in the archives.  I did not update my battery yet because I wanted to ask if anyone has had problems with bug in XAMPP battery current available.

    Thanks in advance for any input.

    No problem whatsoever.

  • Unable to connect database with latest xampp (version 7.0.1)

    When I install the database, Dreamweather shows "your PHPserver is a not the module loaded MySQL or you cannot use the mysql_ connect functions (p), and then I can't find the databases. How can I solve it?

    Additional information:

    Database server

    • Server: 127.0.0.1 via TCP/IP
    • Type of server: MariaDB
    • Server version: 10.1.9 - MariaDB - mariadb.org binary distribution
    • Protocol version: 10
    • User: root@localhost
    • Server charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)

    Web server

    • Apache/2.4.18 (Win32) OpenSSL/1.0.2e PHP/7.0.1
    • Client database version: libmysql - mysqlnd 5.0.12 - dev - 20150407 - $Id: $7e72f9690b1498a1bead7a637c33a831c0d2f655
    • PHP extension: mysqliDocumentation
    • PHP version: 7.0.1

    As Ben, if you are using deprecated in Dreamweaver server behaviors, they will not work with the latest version of XAMPP.

    Why not? Because 7 PHP does not support the mysql functions used by the server behaviors. In PHP 7, you must use MySQL improved (MySQLi) or PDO. Adobe has made no announcements for updating server behaviors. You'll either need to use a third party extension (such as created by DMXZone or WebAssist) or learn how database manually code scripts.

  • Latest XAMPP phpMyAdmin problem

    I upgraded to XAMPP version 5.6.14 yesterday and using phpMyAdmin, I get an error going to user accounts.  The analysis shows this sql query saying there are 5 hooks to close unexpectedly.  This is the query:

    (SELECT DISTINCT 'User', 'Host' IN 'mysql'.) 'user') UNION (SELECT DISTINCT 'User', 'Host' IN 'mysql'.) 'db') UNION (SELECT DISTINCT 'User', 'Host' IN 'mysql'.) "tables_priv") UNION (SELECT DISTINCT 'User', 'Host' IN 'mysql'.) 'columns_priv') UNION (SELECT DISTINCT 'User', 'Host' IN 'mysql'.) 'columns_priv') ORDER BY 'User' ASC, 'Host' ASC

    It does not show in the above query, but phpMyAdmin shows all 5 right hooks as errors and thus you cannot open user accounts, which is a serious problem.

    Anyone else seen this bug in the latest XAMPP version which was released October 19?  Sometimes it leaves you in user accounts and sometimes it throws this 'false' analysis and you can't.

    Since phpMyAdmin is a PHP program, you can download it, delete everything in the phpMyAdmin on your web root directory and replace it with the downloaded files.

  • XAMPP is replacing the real php as follows:

    ORINGINAL FILE:

    <? php require_once("..) ("/ includes/initialize.php ');? >

    <? PHP

    $page =! empty($_GET['page'])? (int) $_GET ['page']: 1.

    // 2. records per page ($per_page)

    $per_page = 3;

    // 3. total number of records ($total_count)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

    TO REPLACE WITH THIS!

    <? php require_once("file:///C|/xampp/htdocs/includes/initialize.php");? >

    L******************************************************************************

    <? PHP

    // 1. the current page number ($current_page)

    $per_page = 3;

    // 3. total number of records ($total_count)

    $total_count =::count_all() Photograph;

    Find all photos

    Use paging instead

    $photos =::find_all() Photograph;

    $pagination = new paging ($page, $per_page, $total_count);

    Instead of find all records, just to find the records

    for this page

    $sql = "SELECT * FROM photographs «;»»

    $sql. = "LIMIT {$per_page}";

    $sql. = "OFFSET {$pagination-> Scion}";

    $photos = Photograph::find_by_sql ($sql);

    No, XAMPP is not done this. More likely to Dreamweaver, but only because your site is not configured correctly.

  • Non-visible images by using a local server with XAMPP

    Hello

    I resurrected an old project, who has worked in the past.  Since then, Ive updated Windows (8.1) and Dreamweaver (CC) today I installed the latest XAMPP and created a folder named xamp2015.  I copied the old project (mysite) in the htdocs directory

    Now, the logic of the site works, BUT the images do not appear.

    They are stored here C:\xampp2015\htdocs\MySite\Images\Main

    My Site Local folder is C:\xampp2015\htdocs\Mysite

    Default Images folder is C:\xampp2015\htdocs\MySite\Images\

    The images will be displayed if I move them to c:\xampp2015\htdocs\MySite and update the links, but it could lead to a messy structure, which was not needed previously

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Try to create a new subfolder called "bob" and put a picture in it, link to it on one of your pages and see if it happens.

    In addition, which is up to the .htaccess file in your pictures folder?

  • XAMPP problem

    Hi I was hoping that someone could help me with this problem XAMPP, I recently acquired a new computer (using widows 8) and I use CC DW, I put as XAMPP 5.6.3 for windows on the computer, everything is exactly as it is on my old computer in addition to the new version and all works well on it, but on my new computer when I try to view a page in design mode , I get this error message: the dynamically related files cannot be solved because the site definition is not correct for this server.

    So I looked in xampp Apache error logs and it gives me this: [11 February 2015 14:44:53 Europe/Berlin] PHP Warning: file_get_contents() (lang.tmp): failed to open stream: no such file or directory in D:\xampp\htdocs\xampp\index.php on line 2

    The file does not look like it should look like this D:\xampp\htdocs\website\index.php I don't know why, it's show xampp instead of Web site.

    Any help will be appreciated thanks Jeff

    You might want to try to install an older version of August or November that more closely resembles the 5.5.17 version on your remote server.

    New XAMPP with PHP 5.5.15 versions and 5.4.31

    New XAMPP with PHP 5.5.19 versions & 5.6.3

    Or try php WAMP server 5.5

  • Overview of browser does not display is not the correct path for root relative links (xampp)

    I just changed the links in the navigation bar of a site root relative links-related links.

    for example

    / shopping/Core-Skills-Training.

    I have a remote control and test server (xampp) set up and everything worked until I changed it. But the links are now displayed like this

    http://localhost/courses/core-skills-training/

    they should be

    http://localhost/testing/courses/core-skills-training/

    (I have several folders for different sites in the htdocs xampp.)

    I guess I just need to change a line or an option somewhere that it works, but don't know what.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Ben

    Here are my parameters to the test server.

    Capture.PNG

    Well Yes.  It's the behaviour expected of a local test server.  The reason is that the / drills all the way up to your hard drive instead of the site xampp folder.  If you publish your remote site, your root relative links will work as it should.  Just trust your code.

  • Impossible to get wordpress site displaying in Dreamweaver CM³ (xampp is configured)

    Hello. I've been messing around with wordpress and I wanted to make it work in dreamweaver, have not had much luck. I was present at the Conference to work with WP sites in dreamweaver techlive and listened a bit more know by chance that he will be transferred to the archives later for me to go back and look. Unfortunately, it has been downloaded on youtube in 480 p and is pretty useless for anyone trying to follow along as the text is completely illegible.

    From what I can tell, I have the site configuration and the server correctly.

    I have xampp installed in the default location (C:\xampp).

    I downloaded the latest wordpress and retrieves the C:\xampp\htdocs folder

    Run the apache and xampp mysql server

    Created a new site in dreamweaver with the local site C:\xampp\htdocs\WPsite\

    I put the connection to the local network.

    Under servers, I have the server as C:\xampp\htdocs\ file

    Web url http://localhost

    When I try to open the index.php file, a dialog box appears to ask me if I want to update the file on the test server, I click Yes and another dialog box appears asking if files to load should be included in the transfer, I click Yes.

    After you have clicked on the live mode view, I get these errors:

    ( Warning: require_once(C:\xampp\htdocs/wp-includes/load.php): failed to open stream: no such file or directory in C:\xampp\htdocs\wp-load.php on line 48

    Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'C:\xampp\htdocs/wp-includes/load.php' (include_path ='.;) C:\xampp\php\PEAR ") in C:\xampp\htdocs\wp-load.php on line 48 "

    The front and the backslashes are odd. I didn't absolutely nothing in the wordpress folder or in xampp beyond what I've listed. What I am doing wrong?

    Help or direction would be appreciated. I used wamp before and I was able to get the site working and displaying in the browser, but I don't know how to do with xampp. I opted for xampp wamp since I thought that maybe I would have more chance operate in dreamweaver like that. I had some other errors in dreamweaver, when I put in place using wamp.

    Path to the server is not complete.

    Change the web url to http://localhost/WPsite/

    Also ensure that your advanced settings have the PHP MySql server of value evaluation model.
