XAVC exports a drop frames

I'm working on some effects Visual of low-medium for local production; their post workflow is all 4 k (shot on red, edited on the body). They send me trimmed body seq, I bounce AE individual plans to help replace w / function AE Comp, work on them, making the shots on and send things finished to the customer. I was export XAVC. MXFs by SOUL (XAVC Intra 4 class k 480 3840 x 2160), but I found that part to make short shots 1 framework. The source parameters and output are the two 23.976 progressive, is not a question of DF/NDF. The length of the comp, ins and outs in AE are certainly all very well. Made out in a different codec (Animation of QT or DPX, for example) works perfectly well. Add a frame at the end of my comps does not seem to do the trick, either, for some reason any. Any suggestions?

If no one can help to solve the problem, anyone have any suggestions for other codecs? Specifically, the colorist asked that I DIDN'T send the Animation of QT files; The DPX files end up being HUGE... ~ 170 clocks in frames to slightly more than 5 GB. Everything must always go to the color, so I need something that is the highest possible quality. ProRes is out. DNxHR is still a few months away. They prefer the stand-alone files, instead of image sequences (although, ' eff right em has, if necessary.) Process a seq image isn't exactly a big deal...).

Ideally, I would like to just get this XAVC thing sorted, however.

I'm not in the team of the SOUL, so I can't comment on when their bugs could be addressed. If I read correctly this recording of bug, however, it seems that this might be a limitation of XAVC not dealing with odd numbers of frames.

  • XAVC 4 K reading dropped frames and stuttering

    Hello

We have several computers running different configurations which has problems reading 4 K XAVC - I the FS7 camera.

While reading real itself is quite fine, and the CPU usage revolves around 25% even with applied classification, the start and stop of playback induced by the LAG, dropped frames, stuttering and 1-2 second hangs. CPU usage spikes to 100% during these events.

I had the problem on an i7 3930 K, 64 GB ram, ATI R9 290 x and well thought out, maybe it's a bad Windows Installer and weak chip, so I upgraded to the current specifications:

    I7 5930 K OC'd to 4, 05ghz

    64 GB DDR4 2600 mhz

NVIDIA GTX 980 Ti at stock speed

Windows 10 100% new installation without other programs other than Adobe and fresh drivers installed on the web.

RAID 0 with 4 x WD Black drives 4 TB of external PCI-E RAID controller.

Operating system installed on the SSD #1

    Programs installed on SSD #2

    Latest CC from Adobe installed

    Last installed CC body

This computer cut 4K like butter, but it hangs and lags when you press SPACEBAR or mouse clicking play to start.

    What could be the problem?

    Hi Romsdalsfilm,

The problem also existed before the last update, which happened a few days ago.

We had a similar bug that close in 2015 CC we couldn't reproduce it. It looks like he may have made their reappearance. If you have time and have not already done so, Please fill out a bug.

  • First 2015 bi - gpu dropped frames

Can someone with dual GPU or mulitple tell me if they encounter problems reading a chronology of acceleration GPU with Prem 2015 on Windows 8.1? With my two nVidia 980Tis I get 1,000001 million dropped frames. With a released GPU, I get a perfect reading.

I've been in contact with Adobe engineers, and they are not aware of any questions. I know that the 980Ti is not on the supported list, but with only a single installed things are fine. Whether it is a double thing 980Ti or both GPU would help a lot.

    Thank you

Adobe Premiere Pro CC and GPU support |  First work Pro area

Please note that first Pro CC has support for multiple GPU configurations to export (one is used for playback) to have more than one GPU will speed up your time to exit.

If this article is correct, first will not use both for playback. You can try to set the nvidia Control Panel to set the first to use a card for cuda gtx. then use SOUL to return and let it use cuda with two gtx cards.

  • Dropped frames and jerky video ATV4 TVOS 9.2

I'm having a problem with my Apple TV after upgrade to TVOS 9.2. Whenever I play video (especially videos YouTube, but this also happens with other applications such as WatchESPN), after a while, the video begins a fall frames and the sound is not synchronized with the video. I can remedy temporarily by force, killing the app or by restarting the Apple TV, but it comes back later and video will get out of sync and drop frames. How to solve this? This came after my update for TV OS 9.2.

Sounds like a network problem.  Check that you are connected to the correct wireless.  Some routers are dual band, so make sure you're on the 5 GHz band.  If this does not work, I do a full restore back to factory settings and re-setup.  I know it's a giant pain, but if this isn't a connectivity problem, this is a question of OS.

  • Dropped frames with 980TI, very fast processor and SSD

    Hi all

I'm currently editing some 4 K and 1080 cineform film scan 1 sequences on a 1080 p timeline, the things is I have a lot of dropped frames, when using plugins (Accelerated ones) stock on adjustment layers, sometimes even on the clip to...

Is this normal given the CPU goes from 80 to 100%, but the GPU is just over 40%?

    My equipment is:

8.1 to Windows and the latest demo of first Pro CC

    2600K @4, 5 ghz

12 GB of ram (could be the cause)

    GTX980ti (Stable OC)

    Vertex SSD for the OS

SAMSUNG SSD for the project and sequences (Blackmagic speed test shows constant ~490 mb writing ~ 520 MB read)

    Thank you all

Clock speeds are not a reliable indicator of processor speeds - they hit a ceiling a few years back really, so they found other ways to make processors faster and more efficient without increasing the clock speed.

Your 2600K is a Core i7 2nd generation with 4 cores and 8 wires, while the most recent 5th-Gen 5820 K 6 cores/12 threads, but "only" a 3.6 Ghz compared to your 4.5 Ghz clock speed, but what one do you think is faster?

You will probably need a new motherboard for the processor more recent, but even if required do not, would be prudent or the old motherboard would be a performance bottleneck. Most recent MB would be faster RAM. And get at least 16 GB of RAM, if not more.

You want a system that is "balanced", which means that all the components complement each other. You don't get full of the GTX 980, since performance the old processor and motherboard are dragging it down like a boat anchor. Like putting a Corvette engine in a Chevrolet Vega old... you won't have any suspension, steering, braking, traction to handle all that power and will not be able to open up the throttle! With the new CPU, MB and ram, you would have a more balanced system. A Hot Rod. You can even add another drive, or both, for example, the media Cache.

Check under file > Project Settings > General to see if the GPU rendering is enabled, or if the value to the software - cannot even make use of the 980 for acceleration card.

    Thank you

  • EXPORT CLASSES IN FRAME 2 PROBLEM

Hi all, I'm having a problem doing a simple preloader.

I do a game, only 2 images, the first is preloader screen, the second is the game (all in actionscript):

If I put the EXPORT CLASSES IN FRAME 2, after that the match is preloaded (this.loaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, onComplete)

    I run gotoAndStop (2).

    everything is ok.

but I see that some creatures (movieclips) DO if POSTER not. these creatures are there, everything works fine, but are simply not visible! This also occurs with some textbox...

    I trace (creature.visible)... and / / give: true

also marks (creature)... / / provide: object [creature] all ok here...

Properties also works very well trace (creature.attack); gives good value, is all ok...

If I set EXPORT CLASSES in IMAGE 1... everything works fine (but not the preloader, which is not supported. just a white screen of course, until everything is loaded, then the frame 1 instantly run gotoAndStop (2), starting the game)

I don't understand, what happens to movieclips when I export in frame 2? (not at ALL, something is visible... something not...) ))))

any class that is not exported until the frame 2 should not be instantiated until the frame 2.  you will need to fix this.

No one can say that all you need to do without inspect all code that runs in the frame 1.  (and it is unlikely that someone wants to see all your code in this forum).

  • Dropped frames during the analog-to-digital capture

Slowly working on a project to capture analog 8mm video tapes to my computer without any problems so far, I'm getting a lot of dropped frames on a particular band. I use Scenalyzer to capture and on this particular band, get about 30 loss of images every 10 to 15 seconds.

I cleaned the heads of the camcorder and stop the background processes on my computer with no improvement.

A test, I captured the same clip using WinDV and had losses significantly fewer images, but WinDV don't optical scene detection that is why I prefer to continue to use Scenalyzer.

He it software or my computer causing the drop frames or is it state age of the 8mm tape? All advice appreciated.

    Paul,

    Who Strip was reused?

If not, then as a test and then you play the tape forward, can play in reverse (no FFW and rewind) and try again?

Good luck and wish that I had some instant "fix."

  • New iMac, still getting message "dropped frames".

Hello world! Completely new to this naked community with me if I missed something!

Recently entered the video editing in which I cut me my friends macbook pro 24/7 to use! Understandably, she's had enough, so I paid my iMac. After much research, it was clear that for FCPX, I need specs high for it to run smoothly! I got the iMac 21.5 "3.3 GHz quad-core i7 with 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB fusion drive (thought I would be playing it safe with these tempting specs of future proof it slightly)

Now, after 2 days, have a bit to go on FCPX I realized his lightning not as fast as I had hoped. The main problem I found was that when you create a timelapse video changing 3 minutes of film in 10 seconds I ALWAYS get a 'video images were dropped while listening to the message". I understand that I can change between proxy/optimized etc but I didn't really expect having to run on something other than the highest settings with a brand new Mac at this level.

I'm shooting off the coast of a hero of go - pro 3 + using 1080 p at 60 frames per second, if this can help.

The only thing different I did was defined the project at 60 frames per second instead of 30 (if I'm honest don't know what difference does it make if you have registered in the same fps)

Is there something I can do or something why the iMac isn't running as fast as I hope?

Sorry for the essay and thanks for the help in advance!

twice the frames per second two time requirements, could be the drive of fusion which cannot follow if the data is not stored on the ssd part.

  • Can I export to 30 frames per second instead of 60 frames per second?

    Hello

Is there a way to export an iMovie at 30 frames per second instead of 60 frames per second? All my clips were imported at 60 fps (how they were shot), but I have a problem with playback on devices and systems, so I want to get to 30 frames per second. I can't seem to find a way to settle this, as 1080 p/60, 720 p/60, 540 p/60 are my only options when I try and share/export to a file.

    Help!

    Chris

iMovie will define the project frame rate based on the first clip you add to the timeline. Add a 30 fps clip known as the first clip in the timeline panel, and then add your clips to 60 frames per second. The rate for the project should be 30 frames per second. Then go back to the first clip and read a part of it. You can then delete this clip and the pace is expected to stay at 30 fps. You can share at 30 fps.

  • Form of InDesign, exported as interactive, frame color question

On Mac OS 10.11.16, Indesign CC (11.3.0.34)

I have a form that I can't see the 'look' of so I'm stuck with the way things are. This means that some fields of the form are created from a graphic image with a border of 1 point, while others are from the combination of a static graphic image with border by 1 point and a white (no background or outline) form field placed above them.

Exactly the same color is used for each graphic frame with the 1 point rule. Only difference is that an image is static and the other is an editable text field. No effect, no overprint.

The fields look substantially different in Acrobat.

    Any ideas?

Screenshot below - I know there is a fairly subtle difference, but it's very annoying.

    Screen Shot 2016-09-07 at 15.13.23.png

With PDF files interactive all the color gets converted to sRGB. Except if your document must also get exported for printing, assign sRGB as the InDesign doc RGB profile (Edit > assign profile...) and use a RGB color for the race.

Also when you view the PDF in Reader or AcrobatPro, RGB color can be viewed in CMYK output according to your preferences. In the drive or AcrobatPro make sure your Page Preview of the overlay view is set to auto or never. Or AcrobatPro you canset the output preview > Simulation profile to sRGB. If you view the PDF file in a browser to date, you should always see sRGB and not a CMYK simulation.

  • Export of drop-down lists

    Hello Eloquan,

Does anyone know of a way to export drop-down lists of Eloqua?

    Thank you, James

OOP I answered my own question by the power of initiative.

For future slow moments, simply open the drop-down list in the section "manage dropdown lists" of the installer, choose your list of choices, click on 'Select list' at the top right and click on "Export selection to CSV list.

  • 1394 on Latitude E5420 capture drops frames

    Hi all

My first post on this forum. I sincerely hope I can find a solution to a problem that left me speechless. When capturing DV to a Sony DCR-TRV330E the fall canned E5420 firewire connection managers intermittently.

That's what I tried to reduce or eliminate the problem:

    • Put the DVCAM in camera mode; The result is a live stream to capture that excludes Ribbon errors
    • Closed all unnecessary programs, including antivirus programs
    • All readers of defragmentation
    • Captured on a non-system drive
    • Search the latest Microsoft drivers (the E5420 1394 adapter uses the generic Microsoft driver)
    • Search for the latest Dell drivers
    • Toggled commercial capture. All show exactly the same problem, including Windows Live Photo Gallery. Currently, using ScenalyzerLive.
    • Exchanged firewire cables
    • Retry with the machine to different power options
    • Disabled for the 1394 interface power management
    • All the other usual advice for problems capture firewire...

The system is completely not accentuated by the firewire plug. Often everything works beautifully. The processor registers barely 1 per cent, captures by - put is in the region of 3.5 ~ 4 Mbps, ScenalyzerLive is showing simply no storage bottlenecks etc. In fact, things are so strong, and then I was able to backup hard disk during capture without errors or the other side.

Then out of the blue a framework would be deleted. This seems to happen in batches. There will be periods where no frames removed, no matter what I throw on the system. Then there would be periods where a framework gets moved, all the outside a few minutes or sometimes narrower.

I noticed two interesting things in this regard. The first is that the interval between the drops of the frame is often close to multiple minutes, or even half-minutes. This asked me if a background task is regularly check or do something and trip over the capture in the process.

The second happened by looking at the task for this Manager. Once I was able to take a drop of current frame, so to speak. As the frame of the fall occurred, the process then visible in Task Manager list had their "Memory (private working set)" adjusted. All at the same time!

Can what conclusions I get out of here, if anything? What would be the next things to watch? Any other suggestions and welcomed warmly help!

    The machine has a processor i5 - 2540M 2.6 GHz, 4 GB RAM and is installed with Windows 7 32 bit SP1.

    Thank you very much

    François

In the interest of posterity, the fix for this was to disable the States C in the BIOS.

    See you soon,.

  • How to choose the poster when exporting to video frame?

    CS6 PP

I can't find how to select the image that I want to appear as the image poster in the exported video.

I can choose what I can change one by right clicking a video imported OK, but not the sequence!

I went through all the menus I can find and even training Lynda.com!

I'm sure there must be a way, but I am blown away, if I can find it!

There are two common meanings for the term "poster frame":

    1. A stand-alone image on disk (JPG, etc.) that is displayed by a player before the video is loaded - commonly used by applications of video sites (YouTube, etc), InDesign and PDF, etc files then the video resource must not be opened so that viewers see what they are about to watch - even if the image is normally enjoy the video should not be.
    2. An image resource built into the XMP/ID3 data of a video or audio file that can sometimes be shown in the player, but is normally set as he appears as the thumbnail image when you view the files in the Finder or Windows Explorer. There is no part of the content stream, it is in the header of the file. In the MP3 files, it is used to store album art.

You can create stand-alone PP JPEG images using the icon of camera under the monitor and can semi-automate presets to export a still image alongside your video using Adobe Media Encoder, but there no option in PP (or via Adobe Media Encoder) to specify the image displays embedded in a multimedia rendered file. Several third-party applications can do, either during rendering (compressor / Squeeze) or after the fact (Quicktime Pro), but support for these embedded resources depends on the wrapper for the video file.

The ability to define a "poster frame" in the PP clip bins, it is only there to help you organize your resources to project visually - for example if the imported film begins black, or if you want to choose a framework where the slate is visible-, but your choice has no effect on sequences to export and is not written back to the original film.

  • Export with drop shadow

I have an object (ellipse) with CMYK and apply a drop shadow. When I export to PDF, it seems fine in Acrobat. When I try emailing I see a gray rectangular box around the object.

If you want to send a printable PDF that then send as an attachment. Economy to try like Acrobat 4, which will force the transparent areas (like the shadow) to be flattened.

If you want an image optimized for display in the body of an email, to export in JPG format and incorporate it instead to use an attachment. You can get a better picture if you first export to PDF and then open the PDF file in Photoshop. Save for Web in Photoshop command allows you to save the JPG image and optimize the resolution.

  • Why export a video frame that is limited to a 2 K JPG

Why export a video image that is limited to the 2K jpg file?

    Hi Marc,

Relaxing, personalized - export you can export video in 4K jpg or even your video resolution video source.

Since the export settings window, change the value of the 'width' to 3840 and export. The exported jpg would be 4 k.

    Let know if it helps.
