XBOX 360 controller will not connect to pc with Windows 7 64 bit

I'm tying to connect my XBOX 360 controller to my PC and when for the first time I plugged the cable into the usb slot I the prompt to download the drivers and then a message saying that my device was ready to use. Problem is that no matter what I do, it seems that the controller does not communicate with the PC when I try to test using the joy.cpl I don't get any device in the list.

  • [Solved] Xbox 360 controller won't connect to my PC Windows 7 x 64 correctly

[SAI followed instructions. installed the software, plugged the dongle wireless, then began the controller.] I tried to sync the controller to the wireless dongle, the dongle will start to blink for a few seconds and the controller has his little spinning light show, they connect to an instant and the controller recognizes that the dongle is there, but none of quadrants light up, and the controller goes back to what all 4 quadrants flashing. I repeated the process a few times now and I still have the same results, I even tried to download drivers specific to Windows 7 x64bit with no luck. How can I get this controller to work?

In fact, I thought that my problem. I had installed MotionJoy earlier so I can use my PS3 to my PC controller. Well, I had uninstalled the software and thought that he would remove the components it is on its own. There can be no. I have had MotionJoy drivers installed somewhere. Whatever it took, it was for me to update the drivers then switch to Microsoft XBOX 360 licensed drivers, it's pretty confusing but, given the name of the 'device MotionJoy Virtual Xinput for Windows' drivers, for me, it sounded like Microsoft had used just the drivers of MotionJoy, I thought that maybe they had some kind of deal for her , but I was wrong. Anyway, problem solved. Thank you Vijay anyway, maybe someone will find your useful answer in the near future.

  • XBOX 360 controller does not control

I try to use my XBOX on my PC wireless controller, it seems to be installed correctly (that is, it is correctly identified in the list of devices [as 'XBOX 360 wireless controller via Play and Charge Kit,' which is how it is connected], identifies correctly connected to the USB port [I moved it a few times to check]).  But it does not work for the 2 games I tried (BioShock 2 and Tomb Raider, both downloaded via Steam).  One of the games (Bio2) even has an option to enable or disable the XBOX controller, but when I try to click on the button 'ON' it will not activate, and 'OFF' option remains on.

  • xBox 360 controller does not at all for PC

I downloaded and installed the Xbox 360 accessories. And installed everything and everything I plug the controller. When he was done, I rebooted my computer and plugged into the controller. He has ALWAYS installed the plug-and-play driver and is the only driver that appears in my device manager. It does not show the HID - controller game or the other. And in the xbox controller tab, it shows the plug-and-play/charge kit driver.

Now, I completely uninstalled, restarted, and redone it... two times... and at the same time UNIQUE of EACH result. I use a wireless controller - but I'm on the wired USB plug on it, to make wired. -What is the problem?

  • Game controller will not connect with game

I bought Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator and a LogiTech gamepad Pro years 3D extreme when I had a Windows XP computer, and they work very well together.  I've since upgraded to a Windows 7 computer.  I updated the driver for the joystick, and the operating system recognizes (when I check the properties, I can move the stick or press buttons and see the answers on the screen).  But I can't get the game to respond to the gamepad.  Any ideas?    When I click on settings on the game homepage screen, a box pops up saying "your joystick device has changed"non typeable characters"to"various non typeable characters".»  You want to reset the control assignments? (recommended) "the characters change every time I do this.  I tried answer Yes and then after a few tries I answered no.  Same results, the joystick is not in the game anyway.  I looked in the CombatFS.cfg file and found similar characters in the section of the controller (LastJoystickName = 'non typeable characters') thank you, John

    Hi John,.

These circles are still flashing so the xbox has not frozen. I waited at least 10 minutes and its still on the screen all the advice on what to do?

    Hello, bob4544353534

What security software do you use? (Antivirus, firewall, etc.).

Try restarting the computer and Xbox and try to reconnect.

If you use a third-party AV or firewall, remove the extender connection, disable the firewall/AV and then configure the extension once more.

For information about how to remove the Extender, check out the following link:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Use-a-Windows-Media-Center-Extender-device

Remember to re-enable your security software after the addition of the Extender.

  • The myfitnesspal website is most compatible with you? It will not connect, but works with all other browsers. I did help out. Did not work.

Yesterday, I had problems with the Myfitnesspal.comwebsite. I have a tab set to open automatically when I start the browser every day. I could not connect any information in the site, so I tried a log off and log in. It doesn't let me log on to the site. I contacted, myfitnesspal and we worked through many steps in troubleshooting. I also tried all the steps of troubleshooting your site. I even made a full stop and start my computer. Nothing has solved this problem. I had the same problem with a couple of store that I like to go. The shop site work finally after more than six months of frustration. Myfitnesspal works on all other browsers. So with everything which has been tried and done, the problem seems to be your side somewhere. I'm running Windows 7 Professional 32 bit.

I really hope that this could be solved because the site appears better on your browser. If you have any questions, feel free to send me an email.

Thank you for what you can do about it, and for your time.

    Hello.

I used to have this problem with Firefox only for some time. I was frustrated beyond. MyFitnessPal is 100% compatible with Firefox, however, some extension (type of) can cause significant headaches. I hope that this fix also helps.

Do you by chance the https everywhere extension installed? It's a great add-on and I strongly recommend using it, however, unless you "disable" its use with MyFitnessPal, you will not be able to connect to your account, add food, weight update, see graphics, etc..

So don't panic. Your question is likely to be what I had as well. I just went in the https everywhere extension and where it says "MyFitnessPal" with a checkmark (saying it is ACTIVE for the site), I simply clicked to disable the add-on for a site.

Simple and it works instantly. I hope it does for you too! If you do not have this add-on so it is probably related to some thing similar so good luck to you!
