XBOX 360 controller does not control

I try to use my XBOX on my PC wireless controller, it seems to be installed correctly (that is, it is correctly identified in the list of devices [as 'XBOX 360 wireless controller via Play and Charge Kit,' which is how it is connected], identifies correctly connected to the USB port [I moved it a few times to check]).  But it does not work for the 2 games I tried (BioShock 2 and Tomb Raider, both downloaded via Steam).  One of the games (Bio2) even has an option to enable or disable the XBOX controller, but when I try to click on the button 'ON' it will not activate, and 'OFF' option remains on.

I downloaded and installed the Xbox 360 accessories. And installed everything and everything I plug the controller. When he was done, I rebooted my computer and plugged into the controller. He has ALWAYS installed the plug-and-play driver and is the only driver that appears in my device manager. It does not show the HID - controller game or the other. And in the xbox controller tab, it shows the plug-and-play/charge kit driver.

Now, I completely uninstalled, restarted, and redone it... two times... and at the same time UNIQUE of EACH result. I use a wireless controller - but I'm on the wired USB plug on it, to make wired. -What is the problem?

I recently received an xbox 360 WIRED gamepad and when I plug it into the computer (windows 7 64-bit) does not recognize the device, I tried to use the updates of drivers and microsoft Xbox 360 accessories program detects or updates are available.

    Pleas help!

I had the same problem, cannot find a solution that worked everywhere, including Microsoft support forums.

About to give up, I remembered the old cure NDA, shaped, "why not?"  I've tried everything else. "So I've disconnected everything on the gamepad, blew in every connection and reconnected everything, by ensuring that the connections were tight.

It has worked perfectly since then.

  • Xbox 360 controller driver not found

I installed my new hardrive I got for Christmas and finally started trying to play games on my pc, and most of them really recommend a xbox 360 controller (air flow) as dark souls, street fighter, warframe and more. The controller worked on my old hardrive but now that I installed it on my new on the drivers are located > I've done everything I can think, I re-installed windows 7 64 bit twice, I installed the drivers for my card mother couple of times, I went on pilots slim and not here is no update can be found. I don't understand why Microsoft is having this problem all around their own forums, and there is no real solution on their website for their own products. Is someone can you please tell me what I can do? I tried to update this driver countless times and I downloaded various programs and all fail to solve my problem. On my old hardrive he acknowledges as a xbox controller, but on this one, she just a yellow. triangle with exclmation mark in the middle. Help me enjoy my computer on new year please.

Nevermind, I found the question, ais m it took me a few days. I had to go to Drivers and then click brosw for drivers on pc and then click on let me pick from a list of drivers, and then click xbox 360 controller for windows class.

  • Xbox 360 Driver does not

I have a gamepad XBOX 360 Madcatz.  It worked fine with Windows Vista Home Premium 32 - bit, but since I updated to Windfows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit, it has serious problems.

A summary of the questions is as follows:

The buttons are always involved, A is X, RS is start, (etc.) and the Joysticks roll wildly when I start calibration, out of control.

I've tried every Driver Microsoft I can find and even the XBCD drivers, who sometimes make the pad that is undetectable by most of the games and even my PC...

Because Windows doesn't let me at least change the buttons ios (for instance the switch button 2 x instead of B) it in any way to solve this problem?

I found the problem: it is not the controller, it's just the Ubisoft games for most...  Especially with Splinter Cell: Conviction.  Seems they have worse support of controllers, as well online does not work.

Thanks for the reply and take time out of your day, but the Comptroller works very well: Ubisoft do lol.

How can I get my xbox 360 controller to work with my computer?... I can't even recognize the hardware? Im running Vista 64 bit on a quad core rig any help would be appreciated... Thank you

    Hello Ghostdogaln.

How do hang you the controller?  You must either use a * wired * controller, or use a wireless controller with receiver game Xbox 360 for Windows.

If you use a wireless with a Play and Charge kit controller, it will not work as long as the USB cord only actually plug into the battery for the controller itself. • Xbox 360 controller not working not not windows 7 (detected in Device Manager, still does not)

    What I have
Xbox 360 Wireless Controller (with the cable that allows you to connect it to the photo that is wired)

    This my problem
I connected the Xbox 360 controller to my pc via the cable, it is detected in Device Manager as 'wireless controller xbox 360 Via play & charge kit.
In respect of game controller does not appear even when you click advance to selected the device it does not always show upward.
I tried to use it TI a game it does not at all.
The rings on the Xbox 360 controller lights when I plug the controller in my pc (even though Device Manager detects a problem with)
When I press the button the controller guide, it just keeps blinking as if it must be syc (but it connect through a wire that shouldn't happen)

I tired using different drivers the same problems, I was installed the drivers off Windows 7 support site exactly the same problem...

I also tried unplugging all the USB devices on my computer and plug the controller Xbox 360 on USB port which are directly mounted on the mother exactly the same problem.

    Up to now NO solution.
Please help me because I think I got tired of everything I can

Unfortunately, this won't work.  The Play and Charge kit connects only up to the actual battery.  Still, the controller connects more wireless.

You would need a wired Xbox 360 controller or Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming receiver that connects to your wireless controller existing.

  • WIN Pro 8, xbox 360, z axis wireless controller does not

WIN Pro 8, Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless controller, z axis does not.

Axis Z work in the calibration screen, but not in the test screen or in the games must be a driver problem, advice?

Have deleted the driver to allow windows to reinstall the drivers.

Installing the windows driver software 7 for the controller, still the z axis only work in the calibration screen.

I thought that I had the same problem, but see the knowledge base article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2757006

Apparently, the problem is only with the test itself dialog box. I also jumped to the conclusion that it must be a driver problem and expects the controller does not work properly in games.

However, the controller DOESN'T seem to work properly in games.

(Mine is actually a Logitech F710, but it uses Xinput anyway).

I hope that your Z axis controller also works outside of the test application, and the information above helps dispel the confusion around this issue.

There is no problem with the drivers or controller, everything works (read below for the explanation and solution)

I had the same problem, with the z axis (Left Trigger (LT) and right trigger (RT)) with a 360 wireless controller by using the adapter on Windows 8 Pro 64-bit wireless controller.

He would not show the entrances to trigger (z axis) on the calibration screen. Looked online and came across this thread in hopes of finding new update of drivers, or a solution.

After reading the post I quoted above, I decided to see if the z axis works in the game, and he does. I tried Street Fighter X Tekken, went to training mode and you can view entries button on the screen, and pressing the RT and LT trigger buttons, they are part of the game and my character not the corresponding move associated with the key as well as to show the button based directly on the screen.

I went then the game controller settings in windows 8 and again once the game controller dialog box does not show the LT and RT (z axis) entered.

Solution: the controller works fine, and not showing is not the z axis is only a cosmetic problem with the Controller dialog box. So just ignore the controller, the z axis dialog box still works in games.
