Xbox controller 360 + Logitech Gaming Headset G330

Extremely frustrated here... After you have reinstalled XP many times for two days, I decided the issue.

First of all, General information - had a Logitech G330 Gaming Headset for Christmas.  It uses generic Audio XP USB drivers, so no disk drivers (unfortunately, in this case...).  Pluged it didn't work properly - sounded HORRIBLE; scrambled, staticky, comments... all in audio, headphones and microphone.

Reinstalled XP, set windows to update all, headset still does not work!  Reinstalled AGAIN, and it worked.  Installed all the drivers one by one, making sure my helmet still worked.  Installed SP3 without a hitch.  More installed updates to windows.  Then, I installed my drivers of wired Xbox 360 controller from the Microsoft site... and boom, the headset sucks again!

Now, I play a LOT of pc games.  HOW can I still use my 360 controller without breaking the functionality of my new Logitech headset?  If she is to install the drivers for the controller without the audio drivers for it, or something that makes the 360 controller audio port does not work, the quality of the sound is me... it is always lower than normal, at best... new helmet is clear.

Edit - since he did not save my last edit... Yes, I did do a system restore and back when he was working.  360 controller not well yet.

Absolute worst case, I can see if I can get third-party drivers to work as XBCD and Xpadder, but last I checked, that they did not work with the 360 controller...

Here are a few other experiences with the Xbox controller and the solution that I found:
