Xbox controller 360 + Logitech Gaming Headset G330
Extremely frustrated here... After you have reinstalled XP many times for two days, I decided the issue.
First of all, General information - had a Logitech G330 Gaming Headset for Christmas. It uses generic Audio XP USB drivers, so no disk drivers (unfortunately, in this case...). Pluged it didn't work properly - sounded HORRIBLE; scrambled, staticky, comments... all in audio, headphones and microphone.
Reinstalled XP, set windows to update all, headset still does not work! Reinstalled AGAIN, and it worked. Installed all the drivers one by one, making sure my helmet still worked. Installed SP3 without a hitch. More installed updates to windows. Then, I installed my drivers of wired Xbox 360 controller from the Microsoft site... and boom, the headset sucks again!
Now, I play a LOT of pc games. HOW can I still use my 360 controller without breaking the functionality of my new Logitech headset? If she is to install the drivers for the controller without the audio drivers for it, or something that makes the 360 controller audio port does not work, the quality of the sound is me... it is always lower than normal, at best... new helmet is clear.
Edit - since he did not save my last edit... Yes, I did do a system restore and back when he was working. 360 controller not well yet.
Absolute worst case, I can see if I can get third-party drivers to work as XBCD and Xpadder, but last I checked, that they did not work with the 360 controller...
Here are a few other experiences with the Xbox controller and the solution that I found:

Xbox controller 360: 1/4 quadrants light up, control sticks will not respond
So I'm on my second Xbox 360 controller, after my first one refused to work fully. It was working fine before today, but I plug today and note the quadrants of 1st and 4th light up instead of just the first. It doesn't seem to be a problem of recognition: Windows recognizes it as a Xbox 360 controller. I check game controllers in Control Panel, and all the buttons seem to work fine, even the broomstick "buttons". However, the control sticks or the left and right triggers (those mapped to the z axis) will respond. Recalibration does not work. Return to default setting and losing one of the control sticks even the slightest seems to move control sticks and triggers "erratic" and show them that everything is tilted in one direction (which is not go back after the tilt of the control stick (s) in a different direction); This direction is the same every time I reset the default calibration (sorry if this description is a bit vague).
Y at - it somehow I can do while a quadrant is turned on and the sticks of control/triggers start working again? Reinstall the drivers does not work, and neither not plugging it into a different USB port.
Well, the controllers have chips in them, and so if yours is fried you won't be able to do great thing by opening it up to the top and have a look. I think that your only real option is to contact Microsoft to get repair or buy a new controller. (Or, I suppose, wait for someone to give you a.) In the future, you might consider buying one of points of sale, so that if you have problems you can return to the store or contact Microsoft for support of the guarantee.

Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver PC connection problems
I recently bought the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver PC and installed the drivers, I pressed the 'Connect' button on the two. They cease to 'Spin', but the controller keeps blinking. I've seen more people having the same problem. It is NOT the batteries.

Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver - this is going to work with a remote xbox?
Hi, I have the xbox 360 Wireless gaming receiver and I am trying to get a remote control for it. Does the xbox 360 remote sync to the xbox or is it just regular IR
Thanks for your help
The xbox 360 remote control Infra-red, the 360 has an IR receiver port.
The wireless gaming receiver is radio only, so will not pick up the remote control. There isn't AFAIK a 'remote control' for the wireless receiver such that it has a validity of the Protocol only for xbox 360 Wireless devices, although there are a lot of 3rd inventive party accessories available, there might be something. You can of course use one of these wireless devices as a remote for other applications with the right software (xpadder, beam, etc.).
The Xbox 360 remote control can be used with a PC using an IR receiver, but it's not plug-and-play, here is a solution: http://www.redmondpie.com/using-xbox-360-ir-remote-with-vista-media-center/
Other that that, there are a multitude of remotes for PC, IR and wireless (including bluetooth). Bluetooth is the option if you want to keep your number of receivers plugged into your pc to a minimum, however, IR is still much better for the battery of remote controls (why it is still used despite the benefits of the radio).

I plugged the adapter (he currently holds a green continuously), downloaded all the latest drivers. When I try to connect wirelessly to the adapter ring on the controller, the controller starts to turn and then suddenly stops, continue to Flash a full circle of green.
I have connected the controller to my xbox to make sure that is not the problem, it worked fine. I uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, restarted my computer and I am at one loss of what else might solve the problem.Hello
