• How to define a typedef'd ring of text to "adapt to the pane.

  I am trying to create a program with a statusbar that displays some error messages. So what I did is, I created a small vertical crack, deleted the scroll bar and everything and inserted a ring of text, containing all the status codes. Works very well. So that the user is able to resize the program window, I checked the object "scale with glass. Still: works perfectly. Now trying to become a master of the flow of data and structured labview programmer, I do the textring a typedef. Of course I avoid making a strict typedef, so that I can re - use and re-design, too. Now what is happening, it's that when I drag the control newly created in the status bar, the 'object of scale with component' option no longer appears. Why? How can I get it back? What Miss me?   After watching in this deep I discovered, that if you the indicator first make scalable with pane and then do a typedef, the indicator dimensionnera with component. However, if you copy the typedef, scale with beaviour pane disappears.

• Extract the value of the ring of text created by program

  I have a spreadsheet I need to extract a single line. The first column of the worksheet has non-espacees values of time and feed these time values in a property node that is introduced in the Strings [] of a ringtone text indicator property node. The purpose of this is because I want the user to select only time for which the data were collected and, ideally, the zero point of time in the list corresponds to the zero line.

  However, when the user selects an element of the ring of text, the control passes the chain selected and not the associated value, despite the use of the "Value" property node You have any idea why this is happening? I know I could use the table 1 d of research VI to solve this problem, but I'm more interested in why it does not work. I have attached a few example data as well as the VI in question for reference.   EDIT: It seems that this can explained by the fact the string, I am animals in the field [] of strings are numbers. When I did, I swapped the hours with random text strings, it works beautifully. Curious and curious...

  Thank you both for your responses. In fact, I was just able to solve the problem on mine in Exchange for the VI of subset of table with the Index of table VI. It works perfectly now, even with the values not assigned (even if it's an excellent suggestion, Jeff). Nathand, in which your question, select the indicator that I had attached to the control time no was not to display the value (0,1,2...) than I expected but the character string chosen itself, (-800,-750...) which confused me into thinking that something was wrong. I have attached the fixed VI for reference.

  What do you exactly by 'as it is'? There is nothing magical about Unicode. If you see a lot of pink boxes after pasting your text, this means that the fonts you are using does not contain a lot of characters. You can set some GREP styles that assign some fonts Unicode at some beaches. Or use some queries of GREP find/replace to assign character styles to the Unicode beaches.

• How to get to an event raised to a ring of text re-selecting value curretly selected?

  Hello. I have a ring of text I need to get a triggered event when any text (value) is selected. Now I have a value change event and it works well when choosing a form of different value, current, but what I need is the same event triggered even though I select the same text (value) that has been previously selected. I can't use the mouse resting on the same command, event because it fires the event before any text (value) is selected.

  If I create a property node (raise the event of Val (Sgnl)) I can "at a distance", and in this case the value change event for the ring of text will trigger even if I write the same value for the property node (Val (Sgnl)) several times. It's actually the behavior that I would have by clicking on one of the values of the ring of text with the mouse.

  Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

• What is happening with my ring of text?

  I'm doing a ring of text with the values 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, etc... all the way up to 100,000. These values are from 1 kHz to 100 MHz. When I click on the ring of text, I see all the values in the MHz and the kHz, but when I select a value in the kHz, it attaches to 100 MHz, and when I try to get a greater than 1 MHz, he returned to 100 MHz.   I tried the method via install CreativeCloudInstaller, it shows no AE in the application list.

  It seems that I do not meet the minimum requirement for the installation of AE, my computer is 32-bit instead of 64-bit.

  It would be more useful if they show the more accurate message in installer CC and the free trial link page in the Adobe Web site.

  I have files of unicode text containing Chinese characters. I'm currently building sides manually using these for a unicode application unicode text files. The manual process shows the 'Success' message, but I'm not able to see the dimensions. I am just able to see a single unknown character.

  Try to open the file in a text editor like Textpad or ultra edit and set the encoding of the file it & save the file. This command sets the BOM that tells other applications to the encoding of the file.

  Note:
  Marker order byte (BOM for short) is a hexadecimal value at the beginning of a file that is used as a 'flag' or 'signature' for coding and/or hexagonal byte order that should be used for the file. With format UTF-8 data, it is normally hex bytes EF BB BF.

  I do the location in my plugin programs. I created a resource (MyPlugIn2_arAE.fr) file to define the Arab channels. When I recorded this file, I chose the type as "Unicode text Document". Because if it is a Unicode text Document my Arab channels are saved preoperly. If I've selected the type as "Text Document" and save the file, all the channels of my Arabs became "?" like that. Now the problem is, it gives a compile error. (This is because the resource file MyPlugIn2_arAE.fr is registered as "Unicode text Document").

  Error looking for the specification of resources. Need to 'resource' or 'type '.

  Make sure you have the Arabic characters (and thus the special Unicode) inside the quotation marks, and that the file is stored as UTF8, and rather UTF16 with BOM. If you don't know the difference, Google. With the UTF8, outside quotes throughout the text would be the same as if in ASCII, so the compiler odfrc shouldn't be able to tell the difference.

  I ran into a problem with a dynamic text field in an AS3 project. Here is the basic scenario:

  The scene is a classic text - filed a dynamic text. I'm loading the html from an external file content in this text field.

  The question that I am running is that the balls on a bulleted list are inheriting the color of the class expanded inside of them, in the above case, there is a range of 'red text' inside the list item. I expect only the 'red' text to be red but the ball for this list item is red as well. Everything else it seems is applied correctly.

  I'm pretty stummped on this one. If anyone can offer suggestions or help, it would be most appreciated.

  It will certainly solve the problem. You just need to use a version of flash that supports / export TLFTextFields (latest versions). I don't know how old is your project. Good luck!

• Ring of text 'strings' property update, but no display on the control panel

  I manipulate 'strings' of a text property individual ring progmatically.  However, changes cannot be seen on my computers remotely display the VI via remote panels and a web browser.  The changes are visible on the computer running the VI.  Is this a known issue?  Is there a work around?

  I am running LabVIEW v. 8.6

  Does anyone know if there are updates to this version?  I felt like I was against bugs in this version of labview special of the day 1.

  One of my colleagues fell on this issue and it turns out that he was writing the string too early. He moved the update of the string to the latter in the code and everything was OK.

  It had to do with the service Web is not upward and ready, he said.

  That's all I remember off the top of my head.

• Cisco VUSB - Feature Suggestions (and some Questions)

  I use with my EA4500 VUSB Cisco router wireless (N900) for my printer (Samsung ML-1915) USB.  It seems that I have had no problems with the installation and configuration with this on my PC Windows 7 games and my OS 10.8 MacBook Air.  But I noticed a few things that I would like to recommend as features to add.  Some of them are also questions, which I couldn't find the option/feature dethrone if so, please let me know where it is (if available).

  -(OS X specific) allow the application to run as one Menu Bar Extra (like DropBox and others).  No need to take place in my Dock when it's always supposed to be running... still have active and easily accessible from the Menu bar would be perfect.

  -If I start a print job in an applicaton, it tries automatically to conenct to the printer via VUSB?  Or should I always open VUSB app and connect manually to the printer before you start the print job?  This could be automated?

  -J' noticed that if a computer is connected via VUSB, that the other computer cannot connect.  Is there a way to run remotely on another computer, if not active?  Or, is it possible to set up a "timeout" If the VUSB connection has been idle for a period (for example, 5 minutes)?

  Otherwise, it seems that it works very well.  Using Hello Windows to print to my old Apple Airport has been a complete pain and never ended up working fully.  Really happy to find a solution that works with my existing printer and is easy to install on Windows and Mac.

  Seems I found the automatic connect/disconnect option.  In the lower left of the main window is two buttons, the left most button is 'Properties' (Alt + P is shortened).  There is a tab for automatic connection, and it seems that it is automatically enabled by default.  It has an option to confirm that the printer Connect Auto can be used... and there is an option on auto-déconnecter the end of the work.

  It is superb.  I don't need a print server, do not have the concerns of several jobs at the same time... just good to know that this feature is available and enabled, so I don't remember opening VUSB whenever I want to print something.

  Now hoping an update for the Mac version to move its icon in the menu bar.

  A recommendation more... I'd like a prompt/WARNING/reminder when I'm clicking 'Close' on the application, as I'm guessing that the VUSB always needs to be active in the status bar to enable this automatic connection to prnter to work.  I keep hitting the X to close (instead of reduce) when I'm checking the settings.
