  You can explore the possibilities of LaunceExecutableEx, particularly for its ability to hide the program window. Remember this is an asynchronous call, so if you want the investigation process you must save the handle returned by the command, and to periodically check its State with function (ExecutableHasTerminated).

• Xcopy - need of path of the error log file

  Hey Microsoft,

  I run the xcopy command:

  xcopy/C/H/E "C:\Original" /e > "C:\LOGFILE. TXT"2 >"C:\ERROR_LOGFILE. TXT ".

  The error log gives me this result:

  "File creation error - the system cannot find the file specified."

  But I need the path of the file that caused this error.

  How this is done?

• BACK XCOPY batch file

  I used my memory limited programming back to create a simple series of batch files to back up the important data on 2 separate PC [a running XP Home, the other XP Professional] their respective external hard drives.  For this I used the XCOPY command more switches as shown on different help sites.  The results seem to have been successful.  With the exception of the XP Home PC, where I created the following command to copy the contents of my programs folder

  With the appropriate changes to the details by car this command worked OK on XP Prof. machine  On the XP Home, similar batch files machine worked for pure data files.  But I can't understand why when the execution of the file above on XP Home the DOS window opens - as it should - but when I tap a button to continue the window closes immediately without anything happening. I am aware that reinstalling a program isn't as simple or the same copy of a piece of text, but that shouldn't stop backup me original exe files.  I've fiddled about with some of the switches, but without apparent effect. All the batch files are stored in the folder of programs with links to the desktop for ease of use, but it doesn't make a difference which way I click on it (as I expect).  I am running out of ideas, I hope someone will have a brainwave.

• Corrupt registry, need help please

  Hello I have a Dell Optiplex GX 270 that I bought used from a store of Liquidation of the Office, the vehicle currently has Windows XP Professional installed SP3. When I have this home computer I noticed he had all kinds of problems, so I started to try to solve the problems. Some of the problems he was and still is, computer is slow, it has a Pentium 4 chip.   Know that it happens every time, I can format, I can destroy the score, I can destroy the registry, but every time I do reinstall an operating system, every thing comes back as ever, I remove anything. I searched the hidden Partitions, I ran spy bot and related programs, what they find is much win socks, services, plug-ins and anything else you can think of, the registry is damaged, I even ran a program called XL delete 2 it is a file, the file shredder and what he finds is and epic on the files program files at the following address windows, documents, and settings is files that are not common to windows at all, it's like they are piggy backing on the back side of the folders.

  Don't know that I do not know where this info could be hiding, but there must be somewhere and help to fix this would be greatly appreciated, and I do mean any help, just know that I am pulling my hair out trying to find where it is hidden. I thank you for your time and have a nice day

  I just try the following other assistance to people on the registry problems, and here's what I typed and the result.

  I typed the following at the command prompt

  CD /D C:\windows\system32\config

  Xcopy *. * C:\Regback\ when I hit the button ENTER here is what I got

  C:AppEvent.evt

  Also I can't use system restore, there is no restore point, also I can type SC QUERY from the command prompt and then it shows 30 services installed and running and are all default actions, I also used the service SC Delete to end this, but again once I have do a reinstall or even shut down my computer and restart all return

  You really need to end your attachment to the registry; It is a herring! Not only that, you will be more probably damage your system if you have the wrong with it. So it is now OFF LIMITS! :-)

  Also, don't you worry on the hard drive. Chances are you have just done the Clean install incorrectly.

  You must follow ALL of the instructions for a clean install. This means that you must:

  1. start from the hard disk (hit F12 immediately after the turning on a Dell computer should allow you to do)

  2 delete all partitions

  3. create a new partition

  4. format the newly created partition

  (in the case otherwise, you wind up having a bunch of parallel installations in disorder, you want a CLEAN installation!)

  Click twice on this list

  Restart Windows Update after each method below

  I'm running this cript to copy all items on the desktop of users to a netwrk drive. It copies everything except shortcuts to programs. It copies all the files, folders, and shortcuts to objects other than programs.

  I just tried it on my laptop and it copied everything on my desk.  I have 21 things on my desk, including many shortcuts to programs, and he copied all.  I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  Do you think you could have a virus?

  If you use the SDK to InDesign CS5, CS5.5, you use vs2008 and if you use the SDK for InDesign CS6 you must use vs2010.

  When you work with cfexecute, try the commands directly firstly using a command prompt. This will verify the configuration and the configuration of the paths in your system. • Need help to find an adapter for a third-party monitor

  Hi all! I find myself in need of a little guidance, and I hope that someone out there will have a quick n easy for me...

  I have a Mid-2011 27 'iMac. which has two ports Thunderbolt It is taken with a Wacom tablet that I use constantly, and the other is made by an external hard drive to a solid state, which has a built-in cable to Thunderbolt (no way to hang it on a different port). I also have a 27 "HP monitor that is currently connected via an HDMI USB adapter.

  The problem is that the HP monitor is actual "jiggy" - the USB does not seem fast enough to deal with requests for the monitor. It is almost unusable. I know I should run it via a HDMI adapter Thunderbolt, but as I have already mentioned the two my Thunderbolt ports are already in use.

  Someone at - it ideas? I need sort of three to two ports Thunderbolt hooks, but I can't seem to find anything for less than $300 that would work. (I am illiterate when it comes to the different cables, adapters, ports, etc., so I hope someone can point me in the right direction by using short words... Most of the products that I travel through list specifications that me Chicane).
