XP Home edition - Windows Explorer - display constantly refreshing

When I open Windows Explorer and click on 'My Computer' then the Explorer window AND desktop refresh continuously (about 1 second) - this refreshing stops if I select 'C' drive and does not return if I will return to the initial display. Returns only if I close the explore and open it again. Any help gratefully received

Hello

I heard about this strange question for the first time. Have you tried to use the System Restore tool? This tool restores the operating system to the start time. The problem occurs on the new OS?
I put t know why this happens, but you should check if there are 3 programs that have a negative influence on the operating system.

Good bye

    Original title: Netbook Licensing

Can someone give me an answer to confirm if netbooks with Windows XP Home, Vista Home Edition, Windows 7 starter (these BONES other than professional or company) be used in a business, connected to the server environment to share files?

I read somewhere that these permits cannot connect to a domain, is this true?

Of coz these OS has not input parameters are even to join a domain, how can they connect?

CAN, that my understanding of that statement means that it cannot be connected to a domain server, means that the netbook cannot be connected to the server to access files shared server?

Can the netbook share files with other computers (vice versa), other than a domain server, on a network of companies?

So what my final question is a netbook can exist in an enterprise environment? What's a standalone machine?

I'm not able to get an answer very Microsoft Singapore confirm after the call to them.

  • Windows Explorer crashes constantly on the new Asus

I bought a new X53SV-SX288V Asus with windows 7 64 bit on it and after installing some programs Windows Explorer crashes constantly for some reason any...

I have restored the pc to factory a couple of times now, hoping it might fix the problem, but it is persistent...

Windows Explorer crashes often and sometimes it seems that the problem has disappeared, but then it happens randomly. When I restart the Explorer usually just, it freezes again and gives me the same error permanently after each restart of Explorer... it just crashes, restarts, block immediately, restart and so on...

I don't know what to do. I'm not much of a geek...

The thing is, the problem occurs only after you have installed programs. Not directly after the time I restore settings, is probably not a hardware problem (I think).

Still, I installed an antivirus before anything else.
First of all, I tried Comodo several times. Then Avira. And now I'm with AVG. Thus, all the programs I download should be good.

Side note: programs Evernote who install are all widely used programs like CCleaner, Skype, iTunes, Chrome,... All of their own websites, so I do not understand how they are the problem.

Is it possible that this is a problem material, even when the problem occurs only after you have installed (well known) programs?

How will I know what bit is?

Because they do not have a 64-bit edition family... you have a 32-bit operating system.

To see for yourself, make a right click workstation-> properties, on the general tab, you will see under "system":
    Microsoft Windows XP
    Home Edition
    Version 2002
    Service Pack 3

For a 64-bit version "Windows XP Professional x 64 Edition" appears under System.

  • HP Pavilion Windows 8 g6 - constantly "refreshes" after sign in

I have a HP Pavilion running Windows 8 g6.  My warranty ended in October 2013.  I took and used my laptop on a trip recently, and I just turned it since getting back.  Here's the game...

logo of HP... circling little round low... my first normal page, clock display, the date and the logos of the internet and the battery...  I type the mouse pad, I get to my normal login page, with my personal photo... I type my password... is to take some time... "your account needs update"... I get the wonderful colours that my computer is "uploading apps" and "a few things," suggesting that he thinks that it's brand new and put on for the first time... it is said to NOT turn off the computer, so I did not... He finished it and starts to charge to the top of the home page Windows 8 app...

    and...

I see the beginning top left; my name at the top right, as well as the personal photo; and two applications: shop and office.

I see this for approximately 0.25 seconds.

Then the screen turns blue for about 4 seconds.

Then it repeats...... Blue boot... startup... blue... FOREVER.

Now, I noticed that, while 0.25 seconds, it takes some keyboard entries.  But it's ephemeral.  I also noticed that I can't Ctrl-Alt-Del and receive the lock / Switch user / logout / Task Manager options, but none of these choices be fruitful.

If you have had this problem and know how to solve this problem, I'd love to hear from you.  If you are a computer expert and know how to fix this, I'd love to hear from you.  I need to know: if my computer is repairable, if my data is recoverable, and if I can get my laptop back to normal.

I have really not 300 to 500 dollars to go to a computer store to fix my lap top.

However, I have $ 50 million to give to you, my colleague empathizer and/or computer expert.  Seriously.  I can send you some sort of transfer via PayPal, or send an Amazon gift card at your address, or whatever.  If it is an incredibly easy solution, you have little money easy and Bravo!  If it of a little complicated and would cost more than $50 of your time, so I hope you can take pity on me in my situation and help me.  I really need information on my laptop soon, and I can't really afford to pay more than $50.  We use this forum, or email or by phone, all fine by me.

    Fifty dollars.  I'm serious.

As I typed this out, my laptop is still... repeat... Blue boot...

    Help, please.  Thank you.

Thanks for your response, Sparkles1!  I apologize for not updated sooner, but my girlfriend has managed to fix the computer.  I stop / restart the laptop using the logout feature, and I never got a safe mode.  My girlfriend shuts the computer manually; done that twice now the comp know something was wrong, and she was able to do in Mode without failure.  From there on, she tried to fix it (did not work) and then restore them.  She got the computer restored to a few days before, and it works fine now.

I guess I owe her $ 50 today.  What should I get him?

    Hi Rakesh,

1 have you ever done any recent hardware or exchange of software on your computer before the show?

2 - is Windows Explorer crash when opening all records and with all the videos?

    3. what application you use to play the videos?

    Please follow the links:

    Method 1:

I suggest you let flow the Microsoft Fix It and check with the question.

Diagnose and automatically repair the files of Windows and folders issues: http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_file_and_folder_diag/

If you are still having the same problem, follow the next method.

    Method 2:

Start your computer in safe mode and try to open the records to check the issue.

To start the computer in safe mode with networking:

If you are able to open the files, and then check in a clean boot mode.

    Method 3:

You must perform a clean boot to prevent any third party conflicting application from interfering with your computer and try to play the videos in clean boot mode.

To put the computer in a clean boot State, you must follow the steps in the article mentioned below and check with the question.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: You must follow step 4 of the article mentioned above to recover the computer to Normal startup after you complete all the steps.

    Method 4:

Scan your computer by using the Microsoft Safety Scanner click on download now and check with the question:

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    I hope this helps.

  • File Windows Explorer display: when you use Windows Explorer to manage files, what it means when an exclamation point appears in the image of the MS product you use (Excel, Word) who appears in front of the file name?

Lately when I've been saving MS WOrd files and Excel an explanation red dot appeared in the word or excel icon that appears directly in front of the name of the file in Windows Explorer.  It has been that there is a green check mark.  What does that mean?

Please repost your question in the Discussion of the Office group at: http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.office.misc&lang=en&cr=US where people who specialize in office products and their characteristics will be more than happy to help you with your question.

  • Windows Explorer displays more 'Office' and 'recycle '.

How can I get to show them on the left side of the window of victory exp?  I have accidentally "moved" them.  Cursor is very sensitive on the new computer - sometimes chooses point and I'm not aware of it - and when I move the slider, the element is moved.  Must have Desktop and Recycle bin show on win expl window!  (real office shows ok and has the basket).

No, I don't have it well explained.  The problem was with windows Explorer, but I just solved the problem of "Desktop" shows only not on the left side.  I have a click with the right button on Favorites and then clicked on "restore favorite links."  Now "Desktop" appears again under Favorites, and the trash appears further down on the list of folders on the left side.  Have no idea now what I have to lose, but thank God, it was easy to solve!

Thanks for trying to answer, in any case.

    Thank you

    Hello

    Run the sfc/scannow command.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally madeprograms,Accessories, right-clickguest, and then clickrun as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or clickallow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions

How to analyze the entries in the log file generating the program Checker (SFC.exe) resources of Microsoft Windows in Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/928228#appliesTo

If SFC detects the main problems it can't fix you may need to borrow a Microsoft dvd vista not an acer, HP etc. recovery disk and do a repair installation

read the below tutorial on how to perform a repair installation
