Windows Explorer displays more 'Office' and 'recycle '.
How can I get to show them on the left side of the window of victory exp? I have accidentally "moved" them. Cursor is very sensitive on the new computer - sometimes chooses point and I'm not aware of it - and when I move the slider, the element is moved. Must have Desktop and Recycle bin show on win expl window! (real office shows ok and has the basket).
No, I don't have it well explained. The problem was with windows Explorer, but I just solved the problem of "Desktop" shows only not on the left side. I have a click with the right button on Favorites and then clicked on "restore favorite links." Now "Desktop" appears again under Favorites, and the trash appears further down on the list of folders on the left side. Have no idea now what I have to lose, but thank God, it was easy to solve!

You can point to the folder to see the size, but not the details can show it as questioning the disc for all of these values causes the massive shift (especially in a corporate network, the traffic generated by the query can bring down a network).

I heard about this strange question for the first time. Have you tried to use the System Restore tool? This tool restores the operating system to the start time. The problem occurs on the new OS?
I put t know why this happens, but you should check if there are 3 programs that have a negative influence on the operating system.Good bye

Why you are posting in the forum, IE? Maybe the reason why you try to use the CP is to enter Internet Options? If so, you can do it without the help of Windows Explorer (at least on your operating system) starting (using the Task Manager if necessary): control.exe inetcpl.cpl
Otherwise what your problem probably means is that you have added something new to the root of the control panel which is not compatible with your OS, causing thus the Windows Explorer (not IE) crashing. In this case, the same way you could get in Add Remove programs without involving Windows Explorer by starting: control.exe appwiz.cpl
You can get help more informed by post on a forum that specializes in performance and Maintenance of your operating system.
Good luck

I downloaded Haali Matroska Splitter since the first result in Google, open the zipper and it ran, if I even got that far. Since that time I have been see two posts above, constantly. I turned the computer on and it persists as soon as it started. I can't access 'msconfig', or other programs that could help because apparently everything works through Windows Explorer. I'm currently looking 29 Admail without loading boxes "restart Windows" on the laptop in question, while writing this to another. Please help, as I am a complete no-hoper to a compliacted question. I used a system restore and everything seems OK. Wish I had known that earlier would have saved a lot of headaches.

Windows Explorer crashes on startup and cannot be restarted
I have a laptop HP running on Windows 7 64 bit. I have not used in a week. The last thing I did was install shutdown and Windows updates. When I connect I immediately encounter a black screen with a dialog box indicating that "Windows Explorer has stopped working. "A problem caused blocking the program works correctly Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. The only option is to close the program. Another smaller dialog box is in the upper left corner. It is empty and says the settings customized on top. I can still run CTRL ALT DEL and go to the Task Manager. I try to manually start the Explorer, but the same thing happens. I restarted and start in safe mode with network and loads everything correctly. Don't know what is the next step or how to solve. Help, please!
Thank you!!
The problem might be this module:
LoadedModule [50] = C:\Program Files\Synergy\synwinxt.dll
In SafeMode with network go to the C:\Program Files\Synergy folder and right-click the synwinxt.dll and rename it to synwinxt.old
Then see if you can start the computer in Normal Mode.
The error that you are experiencing may be similar to what has been reported in the following link:
In this link, the user has used ShellExView to disable the extension Windows synergy and synergy still worked.
