XP Remote Desktop can only connect to Vista once by restarting: error 0xc00002fd

I am running XP SP3 and by connecting to a computer running Windows Vista by using RDP 6.1 (also tried 7.0) with NLA.  I did the configuration of the registry for SINGLE sign-on (although it reproduced without these registry entries with new credentials).  The first logon works perfectly.  That I disconnect the Vista machine.  Then the second connection comes with "an authentication error has occurred (0xc00002fd)."  I can never get another connection to work.  I reboot XP and it works again, once.  The error seems to be a sort of encryption problem.  If CredSSP is cached something that does not work?  Any help is greatly appreciated!

I was told it had something to do with internet explorer and that I need to update my windows, but my computer won't let me.

Safe mode is a number of things.  First, he starts using the clean boot programs needed to operate.  Second, he began to use a screen resolution 'safe' which is supported by all monitors (usually 640 x 480).  Your problem may be due to your video card being assigned to a resolution that your monitor does not support or does not reach.  If it is a recent development, the fastest solution may be to perform a system restore to a time before you had this problem.  You can do safe mode.

I recently changed internet service providers and now my Wired desktop can't connect to the internet.  I noticed that the connection is showing 'Automatic private address' can I connect all my fine wireless devices.  I did extensive troubleshooting with my service provider, but they suggest that my master's degree network adapter must be replaced.  I updated the driver, and the device manager says it's working properly. If I connect the same wire for my laptop, it works fine.  This is just my office.  Any ideas how can I fix?

  • Home network works great, remote desktop will not connect.

I have a Windows 7 laptop and a Vista laptop. They are connected to a secure wireless network. Both work very well as standalones. When I try to connect via Remote Desktop or connect with each other. My 7 is in a homegroup with a single name. My Vista is in a WORKING group with the same name. I can't connect either using remote desktop. Computer for both names are names of a single word, 'XXXXXX', not the format xxx.xxxxx.xxxx and I can't figure another way to their name. I spent 2 days serching various tech forums and tried what they suggested.

    Hello

Homegroup is a unique feature of Win 7. It uses IPv6.

As you connect to Vista you must configure Windows 7 to the home network.

    ------------------------------------

Network Win 7 with another version of Windows as a work network (works very well if all computers are Win 7 also).

In the center of the network, by clicking on the type of network opens the window to the right.

Choose your network type. Note the check box at the bottom and check/uncheck depending on your needs.

For the best newspaper of the results of each computer screen system and together all computers on a network of the same name, while each computer has its own unique name.

Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq.html#trusted
Please Note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled).
If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic.

If you end up with the 3rd party software uninstalled or disabled, make sure that Windows native firewall is active .

  • Unable to connect to wireless internet; can only connect to the network, saying "Local only" or "limited connectivity".

I have problems to connect to any wireless internet - home, library, coffee shops.  He used to work, began to get in trouble (i.e. could not connect sometimes to the diner, but works in the library) and now does not connect to internet AT ALL wireless.

Only connects to the network saying "local only".  And I'm lucky even get that much.  Furthermore, I don't know if it's a router problem or what, but it does not even accept the password for my home network (my boyfriend has no problem on the internet with Windows 7 and the current router password).

I use a HP G60 laptop (maybe?), I don't remember the model exactly.  Windows Vista.  I am frustrated beyond belief.  I took the computer to Best Buy and the man suggested that contact Microsoft because, in his own words, "this seems to be a very common problem with the adapter wireless in Windows Vista".

In summary: is it a hardware or a software problem?  It seems to be a software problem that can have an impact on the material.  Nevertheless, what can I do to fix this?  Y at - it a software update, I need to try for my wireless card?

This computer is not yet a year old, and already I am unable to use it for the internet.  Not very well I plug my ethernet cable router wireless in the library.  I bought a laptop for a reason, but it is on track to achieve more like a desktop.  Very disappointing.

    Someone, please help!

I took the computer to Best Buy and the man suggested that contact Microsoft because, in his own words, "this seems to be a very common problem with the adapter wireless in Windows Vista".

    Hello

When the man from BestBuy, fortunately for us technology is not a cleaning product, there is no way of knowing if someone puts his hand on it and knowing what is wrong rather than moving oral reprimand...

First step, log on to the HP support and download the latest drivers for your wireless card.

The HPG60 is a very good phone but its wireless card has problems with old drivers.

In which case it's a hardware problem, contact HP support.

In general, you can use this process to find out what's wrong with the wireless.

Most laptops have a physical switch for the wireless card. Read the manual of the computer and make sure that the wireless adapter is on.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

Make sure that if there is Wireless Utility a utility vendor is not running with the native Windows wireless utility.

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Above everything is OK and it connects to the wireless router. Log in from any computer which is, or can be connected to the router with a wire wireless, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless streaming is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

When the work turns on the Wireless security.

Note * people sometimes make mistakes in writing and retype the password for security.

Another way is to copy in the menu of the router and then paste it when asked of the wireless card.

    --------------------------------------------------

I really checked and configured every thing and it doesn't work.

Software firewall application that is not configured to allow local traffic (between the computer and the router is also a possible problem.
some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

  • Remote Desktop shows only not in system properties

I'm trying to allow connections on a portable computer and connect via the internet on another.
I've upgraded from vista Home Prem to Win 7 Home Prem 64 bit.
I am using the MS. Remote Desktop feature  I read MS Help directions.  When I open the System Properties window and go to the Remote tab, I have the current text of Remote Assistance, but there is NO Remote Desktop block in the window.  It's just not there.  Same situation on another laptop that I have improved.  Help indicates that the feature is available in all versions.  Have not loaded all the features during installation, pourrais I be looking in the wrong place or it is not available in the NVA Home Prem?
Can I access another computer remotely via the internet without this step?
Also, how can I identify my full computer name (I prefer just using an IP address if possible)?  Not connected to a domain (just an internet connection and the Working Group), how can I find the remote computer?
    Thank you, Ken.

I'm sorry, but Windows 7 Home Premium cannot accept office connections remotely on other computers.  This requires the complete edition or professional version.

All versions of Windows 7 can connect to another computer using Remote Desktop connection.  That's what shows the help file.

These programs allow Windows 7 Home Premium accepts connections remotely on other computers: TightVNC , TeamViewer , GoToMyPC .

To use TightVNC, your computer must have an IP address or DNS name.  Dynamics of most of the ISP issue IP addresses, which can change at any time.  You can use a dynamic DNS service like DynDNS or No-IP to give your computer a DNS name.

  • Remote Desktop is not connecting

I am trying to connect to a computer on my home network running W7 Professional using DRC. It is the only station that does not accept the connection. All are part of a domain. Is there a domain server. Symantic End Point Protection a firewall (firewall W7 is therefore off). My connection to the DRC is triggered by a W7 Ultimate station within the domain and specifies a port [STATION02:3390]. The router sends port 3390 to this post, and I get a good test of the router for this port. DRC is switched on to STATION02. I tried with and without network authentication. I tried to disable Ms. My domain name is called at the HOUSE and I entered my user name as an authorized user of the DRC on the host: HOME\richard and HOME\Domain users. All other computers on the network can RDC to each other, except STATION02 does not login as a host. I am stumpted and would appreciate help. Is there an area of setting I'm missing? Thank you.

  • Apple Remote Desktop tries to connect to some weird areas

Firefox and osx elcapitan 10.11.4 15E65

It's so weird that lately my ARD tried to connect to areas randomly I searched on the web. Little Snitch reports she's trying to connect to 'gist.github' and the other day he tried to goto "krampus".  As I said it's strange behavior since it's the kind of thing I entered in google.

    All advice is appreciated.

I would be a little surprised if Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) have been connecting the specified web sites, you can post what Little Snitch reports as the source and the destination of the connection?  Also please post what version of Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) are you using?   3.8 (A 380, 95) is in course, at last I checked.

My general recommendation is to remove Little Snitch - this is a great tool, but it also tends to cause problems when network connections are blocked by mistake, and it's certainly excellent fodder for causing paranoia.

Adware and malware can cause this, but - if you connect to these sites and don't have adware or malware or any sort of anti-virus or anti-malware, or other similar types of tools tools additional loading - I guess it's OS X hides a tile or such.

Here is a previous related discussion - even if it is not of the ARD.

  • Remote Desktop does not connect Win 7 on Win XP pro.

The two turned on, remote active and available on the same network. I tried to connect by the name and Ip address, but I still get the error message. Remote Desktop cannot connect to one of these reasons: 1 remote control, access to the server is not activated 2 remote computer is disabled 3 remote computer is not available on the network.   I have connected before. In fact, I went to my computer in a click with the right button on the computer in the access network, it could not connect. He gave me the opportunity to diagnose the problem, so I chose it. The result of the diagnosis was the computer appears to be correctly configured but (computer) does not. I recently, during the last week, the object a new copy of windows xp pro on the computer and I have connected with access to distance since.  Why can't connect now?

Check your firewall and router, the remote desktop protocol uses port 3389, this port must be opened.

  • Remote Desktop having problems connecting Surface RT to Win 8 portable Pro (new installation)

    Remote Desktop/RemoteApp problems

I was not able to connect outside of the network.

I sprung several days trying to solve this problem by myself, then on the phone with Microsoft productivity, and some of them aren't yet familiar with Surface RT. So with the RD in network connection is quite simple and effective, I hope some people here can confirm that they have the same problems or possible solutions.

As I see it, there are 3 interfaces where we can connect to RD on the Surface RT: Pre-installe Remote Desktop Office found via scanning and research, the metro downloadable RemoteApp and desktop remotely via the control panel).

I see where ping command is executed on the computer and port 3389 is open and oriented to the laptop, so I will state the problems I see with each when I try to log on a Windows 8:

    (1) pre-installed RD:

It's great and the name of your computer is there for you and connected to your account and network ready. You have options like "Connect and don't warn me if server authentication fails" I think has helped many people on Windows Server with certificate problems.

Off-grid on Surface RT, however, you get «Remote desktop cannot find the computer _.» This may mean that '_' does not belong to the specified network. Check the computer name and the domain you are trying to connect to."

    (2) metro UI:

It seems to do a ping the computer more quickly when you put: 3389 at the end of your IP address. However, no success after having tried with and without the end of the port. The messages I get are...

    RemoteApp 3):

This is the solution I've seen in most tutorials,... but the reason given for not connecting, it is "the remote computer cannot be authenticated due to problems with its security certificate."

Instead of the option to bypass (which option 1 gives you), there is no other choice, and he says "Windows is unable to continue setting up this connection. Contact the administrator of your workplace. »

This message made me to learn more about the certificates that I always wanted to know. I tried to start MMC and ensuring that the cert listed in Remote Desktop has been copied to the folders of the confidence of the authorities certificate root (duplex as certificates on the local computer). I tried different combinations and did not really anywhere.

If someone connects via #3, please post care on your certificate if you can find it.

Any help on getting one of these methods to work is appreciated. It puts naked repeat that port 3389 is listed as open on my home network, the traffic is transferred to the correct PC and all firewalls are disabled until I can solve this problem.
