My Dell XPS 15 audio Jack does not work.
Hello, my new Dell XPS 15 audio Jack does not work. I just got this thing out of the box.
I have updated the drivers and stuff, which doesn't seem to be the issue.
I tried several headphones as well, the helmet is not the issue.
I've isolated to this: when I plug in the headset, nothing happens. If I ask about 15-20 lbs of pressure, forcing the connector of headphones into the socket as hard as possible, the cell begins to recognize and the helmet works. As soon as I let go of the connector, the laptop will behave as if the device was disconnected.
What should I do?

Toshiba still 8 Micro USB does not, does not charge
I have installed Nokia PC Suite on my Toshiba Encore 8 tablet and connected my laptop Nokia C1 via micro-USB on my tablet.
Since then, my Toshiba still doesn't recognize not the USB port, two usb devices or, more important, for the load.
My tablet is now only 8% load, and I need to get the USB charge function working again while I have still a few charges left in the tablet to make the necessary changes (drivers, BIOS etc.)
Can anyone help before my Tablet becomes a brick died without charge to the left?
Hello
Looks like we have a similar problem, although I have a different tablet model (AT10-A) and I did not install anything whatsoever... still, I'm having the same issue on the micro-USB port: it does not recognize the Chargers and USB connections with my laptop. To the point where it says 5% battery. I'll try to keep it connected to the charger, even if the Tablet does not seem to see it.
How can I test if the battery is really in charge?
Have you received support from Toshiba?
Thanks and best,

Venue 11 7140 pro micro HDMI does not work after upgrade windows 10
Has anyone tried connect a HDMI microphone on their place of dell 11 7140 pro after windows 10 upgrade? Mine does not work after the upgrade, but the HDMI from the dock works.
I have thus display driver problems on 10 to win.
For me, the micro HDMI port works fine. I use an active adapter, so that could make a difference.
The HDMI on the dock works well, but only if I directly connect to an HDMI display. If I try to use a passive DVI adapter, then the external screen is not recognized. In addition, the DisplayPort on the wharf is also unnecessary, regardless of the type of cable or attached monitor.
I encounter this problem after performing a new installation of Win 10, using the brand Dell drivers and latest drivers Intel installed by Windows update.
It is certainly a driver problem Win 10 because everything works fine if I boot the Tablet under Linux using a USB key.

XPS 400 video controller does not
I have a XPS 400 desktop computer that runs currently the 10 Insider Preview Windows operating system and its video controller does not work and so he struggles to play YouTube videos and he is totally unable to play games should be able to play. I once had this computer to run an operating system called Linux Mint and the video controller worked fine until I put Windows 10 on it. In Device Manager the video controller appears under other devices with an exclamation point. I tried to have the search system automatically updates of pilot, but he can't find. In the past I thought that the video controller was that of an AMD processor, but I don't remember why. Recently I watched the original specifications and it comes with an NVIDIA GEFORCE 6800, so I'm not sure she has and this computer has done to my knowledge undergo updates before I owned it but I don't know if its video controller has been changed. Nevertheless, I tried to get help thinking it is an AMD but nothing helps and I tried to download the drivers from NVIDIA but it still does not work as there is very little information on the video controller. Does anyone know a way I could get the video controller to work?

XPS 8700 + Radeon 5770 does not
Just got a XPS 8700 and decided to put my gcard of my old system in because it is more powerful. Radeon 5770, when I put it in I get nothing. The monitor does not display anything. I put back it in my old system, and everything works fine. Is the 8700 XPS somehow simply not compatible with the card Radeon 5770?
Any suggestions on a map of decent price I want to consider? If the XPS 8700 for some reason any cannot support any powerful graphics card I can just return. Very strange that the card doesn't seem to work.

U2412M, new XPS 8600 DVI monitor does not
XPS 8600 with AMD 7500 series (an HDMI and a DVI output) video card. The monitor is dead and does not illuminate. Drop shipped a new Dell today and at least this monitor turns on (the led lights). Connect DVI to DVI results in the error 'no signal' on the screen despite checking the entry in the menu monitor DVI... If I use an old VGA cable with an adapter DVI of the computer that connects to the VGA port on the new monitor, there is no problem. So is the DVI cable, a problem with DVI-d port on the 'new' screen, or something else?
Thus, the new monitor came today and push the pedal using the existing cables, video card, etc. without incident. The problem was with the refurbished monitor Dell sent in replacement. Although I am happy that the incident is resolved, it took way too much troubleshooting and perhaps Dell should place stricter requirements on the "refurbished" products, they sent.

XPS 8700 - new mSata does not start unless...
I had my 8700 for a little more than a year and from the beginning, I put a 256 gb 2.5 SSD and everything has been good... unfortunately I ran out of room so I'm a 512 GB mSata and installed with the normal hiccups (bios setting, etc.) and for the most part, it works fine... installed win7 - all my programs games, media and all that. Well, now that I have everything there I was trying to format the original 1 TB hdd which served the initial boot (later converted to my games drive) drive and it refuses to format 'windows cannot format the system disk partition' I went into the BIOS and noticed his 1st listed in the order of the boot sequence. OK... so I put the mSata as first on the boot sequence and people with other disabilities 2 boot sequence HARD drives... Unfortunately, after that it does not start, say no boot device available. I tried other settings and the only way I can get my OS to load is if I put it on AHCI - legacy - then set my empty 1 TB (manually remove games) under the 1st boot device and set my msata #2. I want to use the 1 TB in a different computer and I want all my available bays opened for larger storage players when I need... but most of all I want to solve it because he needs to solve... Someone has an idea what I am doing wrong? any help is appreciated.
Specifications:
XPS 8700
I7-4770
BIOS A10
M550 crucial mSata
OS was initially earn 8.1... I upgraded to win 7 home
The boot sequence is dynamic, so it does not matter if change you it in the bios. Each listed item will be sought for the boot files according to what is currently installed. Because your startup files are not on the ssd, it will never start to this player. Windows must be installed on the ssd from scratch, so you lose everything and have to reinstall everything. If you have now works well, leave it alone and save yourself a lot of trouble. Startup files are still on the original drive.

So I used my wired headset microphone. He worked for games such as cs and any other form of voice conversation for example of discord. But, suddenly, it stopped working. I tried the same microphone on different devices, and it worked. Then I went into system preferences > Audio > entry and I put in input mic line but he does not sound bar, but when I walk past the internal mic, it shows that he has picked up a sound. As this shows, it does not in a record or a set of audio from Quicktime Player.

RAM Dell XPS one 2710 question does not start with more than 2GB of ram
Hi, I recently updated to Win10 I've taught it will be easier way for installation after upgrade fees, but the reset button does not work so I decided to return to 8.1. I copied version UEFI victory to USB and restarted the victory while pressing F2, but the computer does not restart "just black screen even no Dell logo" so I turned it off, back on and same story. Then I disassembled the pc and know that no matter what combination I do the computer not start until there are just 2 GB or less ram in slot I have 1 x 4 GB 3x2GB and 2x1GB any variation as possible, you can imagine I tried close up with the same result. If there is more than 2 GB of system ram won't start. No idea where is the problem? for 2 years this computer worked perfectly.
PS: Does anyone know how to reflash the BIOS I have spin A12 which is the most recent, but I want to just make sure that the BIOS is not messed up. DELL utility allows not only update reflash. Does anyone know how to force the upgrade of BIOS?
So I found the problem, it's a BIOS. I tried to reset it in PIN on MB and it did not help removed battery no change I found that the BIOS utility can be forced thru cmd. So I did and the finishing of the bios update successful she even seems scary cos for any computer freezes. but that came on and after several early I can again use all the RAM slot with what ram size I want.
How to force the update of the BIOS...
Open cmd as administrator
and run the exe with command extra /forceit in my case "A12.exe /forceit".
Voila BIOSupdate is runningSimple but time fly. hope it helps someone too.

Qosmio X 500-micro integrated does not
Hey guys,.
I wiped my HARD drive formatted, it and then re-installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my Toshiba Qosmio X 500 - model n ° PQX33A-00X00J. .. Well, my PC companies shop done anyway (and Im at the Viet Nam - so my wife organized because I don't speak the lingo)
The microphone worked end before doing this so Im confident this is not not the hardware.
I have re-installed all Qosmio X 500 ( http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/...download?os=25 ) that says audio - so those drivers labeled conextant etc, but no joy - also did some research online and continue to do so, but that for the moment no solution. I was told on a previous post that I made on this forum that this URL for the drivers would be all that I need - but not now!
Someone at - it expereinced this and found a solution - or do you have other ideas?
Thanks a lot for any help
See you soon
RickPS, colleagues, I have to use an external headphone/MIC - have not tried this yet so fingers crossed

XPS 10 - just received, does not illuminate
Hello
I just got a tablet of 10 XPS today. I loaded the device for 4 hours as stated in the manual. After 4 hours I tried to start the machine, but it would not start up. The only response to pressure (and holding) the power button was the LED flashes 3 times.
My guess is that there is a problem with the battery and the flash LED tells me that the unit is not charged.
Someone at - it the same problem?
Got this the other day for the support of Texas... and it worked!
. A problem has been identified with this model where if battery low it will appear dead and not turn on.
- Unplug the connector to 40 pins of the tablet. If anchored, unplug the Tablet from the dock.
- Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds (this makes a strong power off on the device in case it is locked or hung)
- Reconnect the connector 40 pins on the device. Leave the responsibility of the unit for at least one hour (60 minutes) before you press the power button /. By pressing the button power until the device is charged will hang the unit and prevent another load.
- After waiting at least an hour, press the power button for 3-4 seconds, turn on the unit.
- If this solves the problem, the battery was dead and the aircraft entered a suspended state. A software update for this problem definitely will be pushed by the update of Windows ~ February 12, 2013.

Dell XPS 2720 slinging disc does not, the monitor and the keyboard?
Hey,.
I know I'm not the first to ask this question, but unfortunately my new XPS 2720 has this problem! My company bought 5 or 6 2720 XPS for management staff, I noticed this problem too, you tap the bright ejection in the lower corner on the right monitor, nothing happened. you use the button on the keyboard that is nothing past?
Feel really strange, it's something so obvious a problem, why there is no solution, I missed something? It is very annoying, can someone help me with this?
Thank you!

Salvation all of Spain, I had the same problem with my new XPS 2720. The eject led in the monitor has always been on and didn t work, didn t of ejection. At least in my case the problem started when I updated to DELL OS app to the latest version (007) available in the Dell download page drivers. I uninstalled the new version, reinstalled the earlier, 006, and the led has started working again as it should (lights only when a disc is pushed in and when the disc is ejected). I hope this helps you all.
