• How can I fix the froyo update problems?

  DROID: Verizion pushed 2.2. my phone Friday and now I can't go to the settings page. The application settings seems to have disappeared. Now I CN can't do things like manage wi - fi connections or screen brightness, etc.

  It's my daughrter phone and she really pimp out with apps and wallpaper custmized she hates losing to return to factory settings.

  Any clue to find and install the software of system setting without wiping the phone?

  See, we Droid X users have not the idea while on Froyo (2.2).

  I wish that Google would buy Motorola and start a restructuring of the company.

  On a side note: is not parental advice, just general. But be careful with random apps and especially screen download. "Pimp out with the software" gives the impression of "potential spyware in the world". Google concluded that the wallpapers who sent personal information to 3rd party servers were "safe". I hope that their guidelines are stricter that mine would be, if all goes well.

  UPDATE: try the following steps:

  • Deleted by the Manager forums - please stop posting these links immediately. They violate the rules of the site.

  This fixed some problems of peoples who were still stuck to the Motorola screen once their phone froze Mid-implementation to date.

• A learning app?

  It is a fantastic forum to learn how to use the Droid and to understand the problems. It is ideal to discover different applications also.

  My question is, where can I learn the ins and outs of applications themselves?

  For example, I installed the Dolphin browser but does not know how to delete the history. I have 3Banana but have no idea how to use it. I've never used the calendar function, but of course need to learn how. I never seem to have time to just play with them to understand their.

  To answer your specific question about dolphins and clear history, click on the down button (2nd button on the left), then 'More', then 'Settings' menu, then 'System settings', then 'clear history '.  Or, if you're planning do often, a symbol of the 'gesture' to the story (for example, an 'H').  When you run, then click on the menu button at the bottom and you will see an option 'clear history '.

• No Picasa sync after 2.1 installation

  I updated to 2.1 and I have the new gallery, but when I go to settings > accounts & sync and select my gmail account, sync with picasa web albums is not an option.  As I understand it (and based on the 2.1 information on the verizon site pdf) there should be a way to sync with picasa.

  Looks like the answer to your problem is to do a factory reset on your Droid, read on another Droid forum. Before the reset, they went to menu > settings > sync & account > google account > and picasa wasn't there. After the reset, Picasa sync is there.

  Looks like this place would be 100% friendly droid but I just had two questions and opened my post.

  1. I get a security warning to browser for the certificate on the site.  I ignore this warning.

  2. When you respond with the Droid virtual keyboard does not come to the top.  The works of kybrd hard but I don't get a slider so I didn't know it worked until I typed.  Then I hit the DELETE key and the browser took as a "back" button and sent to the Publisher.

  IIRC, they work with Jive on it (the certificate number and the mobile site). I have not done any word on how long though

• Droid: Can't post on this Droid phone forum

  I tried several times to post a reply on this forum to my Droid, nothing helps.  I have tried several things to slow the question, for example, magnifying the text field to the maximum, using each method of entry (physical keyboard and virtual keyboard) and clicking 'next' virtual keyboard box.  Nothing seems to work so far.  Furthermore, when I touch inside the text response box, I get the outline of a box indicating text, I guess, I'm in a text box that is ready to be typed in.  However, when I type in, it turns out that I am typing in the field "search".  Go figure!  For now, I can't read one post of my Droid so I want to participate in the forum, I have to do one of my laptops.

  everyone knows about this phenomenon?  and if so, have you found a cure?

  Laughing out loud! No - of course that non - rooting your Droid is not supported by the manufacturer (Motorola) or distributor (Verizon).

  While rooting your Droid does not void your warranty, it can leave you up a Creek without a paddle (IE, without the support of the Moto or VZW) If screw you something up... it is not advisable unless you already know what you are doing - and know how to save your existing system software so that you can re - install.

  Here in the forums of Motorola sponsored is definitley not the place to talk about rooting.

  But once again, and I can't say enough: If you don't know what you're doing when it comes to install a linux style operating sysytem, is maybe not for you. Play with the operating system, you are left to get help from other users - Motorola and VZW will not be able to help you.

• Droid Turbo on T-Mobile

  I recently left Verizon and my Droid Turbo for T-Mobile. I did it for having better relationships within the Canada. I had to overcome a few problems, including the definition of my name of the Access Point to one for T-Mobile. My question is this... There are a lot of Apps "Verizon" pre-installed on the device, those who safely disable/uninstall to remove as many "Verizon" can I whithout causing problems?

  I recently had a security (from Verizon) update for this phone. This makes me wonder if I should delete anything "Verizon" at all. My thought here, is that the only possibility I should get Marshmallow, thanks to an update from Verizon, just as I have with the recent update.

  Is there someone else on this forum who has experience, moving to T-Mobile with this device?

  I actually had no problem with my Turbo on T-Mobile with updates with the last update of security and Lollipop. With regard to applications from Verizon, I've pretty much all the people with disabilities with the exception of voice mail (don't).

  I bought a Motorola Droid Turbo XT1254 in Pakistan and that you want to unlock the bootloader, so I can it root and use Titanium Backup to backup/restore my apps and games. I made a thread on the Verizon forums but probably will not receive a reply, they give no email address to contact them either. I emailed Motorola also yet to answer.
  Please give me the bootloader unlock that I'm not in the United States and don't use SIM card code or Verizon services. I can provide all the information required to generate a bootloader unlock code. It is not a State secret and Verizon should allow Motorola give codes as they do for all other phones unlock.

  I just spent 5 hours calling Motorola again and again (explaining my situation and many other customer situations) since their unsatisfactory customer service agents hanging up in my face! I got to level 2 technical support, the guy takes the info down on all the specifications for the firmware that I need flash on the camera once I told them how many people have walled androids now due to their update defective pour.621 & how these clients will not be satisfied by the fact that they must send their Motorola phone for having repaired and sit in a line of million others androids that are waiting to be flashed, after weeks for the device that will be sent back after it is repaired. All I ask is another version of the firmware that all over the internet, they released, they have even contributed to projects open source like that on Google. But they can't provide me with just the firmware.621 for the Droid 2 cover their own ASSES? LOOKS LIKE THEY WANT THEIR CUSTOMERS TO BE HAPPY. BUT I SEE THAT IT IS QUITE TO THE CONTRARY. I will never buy another product from them ever again! EVERYONE TO STEER CLEAR OF THEIR CRAPPY SERVICE. After paying nearly $1,000 USD for their products, they will be hung up on & feed you the same line of nonsense showing the only option 'US' (AS IN A RANDOM underpaid CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT) have only the ability to refer you to the service of repair service to have your phone BOOK AND NOT GIVEN on A MONTHS. Just think of the time and the pain that they would save a lot of people if they would release just this specific firmware version. I could have done in less than 5 minutes and be on my pleasure getting married, yet feed the mouth of Dan Moloney (President) & Sanjay Jha (President and CEO). Fucking flat back, with service agents speaking English-no customer! I understand even half crap which poured in their mouths! This shows that you, expensive products, cheap crap customer service.   This is probably a silly question... but is it possible to connect the XYBoard to an older HDTV (2005) which has no HDMI port?

  I have a Samsung HD TV for about 2005 in my room and I would like to watch movies of my XYBoard on this subject. It has a S video input port but not HDMI.

  I searched the forums and couldn't find any info.

  Any ideas?
