  Safari maxes in a version of Mac OS x.  New version of Mac OS x would be needed for the new version of Safari.

  Firefox is not limited within an OSX and probably has a version that works.  Chrome may as well but is a Devourer of resources.  Opera is a third option.

  dv2500_Vista.  IE (7?) has recently become impossible to open some Web sites (youtube - never; fb, yahoo - sometimes).  It started a few days ago.  This applies to all users, some with and without parental control - although there seems to exist a variability between users.  Scan (AVG) showed no infection.

  You can try to reset the Internet Explorer settings.

  Conclusion of any windows IE, you can open it. Go to control panel and click on Internet Options. Click the Advanced tab, and then select reset.

  Could you try disabling hardware acceleration in IE to see if it changes anything?  Also, would you be willing to try this with Chrome to see what behavior it?

  I make films at home with a combination of photos and videos imported from opening.  Never had a problem with older versions of imovie, but now I find that some but not all of them show as placeholders of blacks in the film. My OS is El Capitan 10.11.1 I noticed there is a complaint in the imovie 10.1 journals but don't see any solution or a model.  Suggestions?

  You can try to connect to your computer, under another account and checking that iMovie includes the same - this is to check if the problem is related to some third party software which runs in your usual account.

  It works very well for most users (including myself) there were so many reports this with version 10.1 and El Capitan I suspect it might be a bug affecting certain types of input materials.  I've not seen claire solution and I recommend you send feedback to Apple to the: http://www.apple.com/feedback/imovie.html giving as many details as possible about your computer configuration and the details of the origin and the format of files affected.

  Some laptops with smaller physical dimensions allow the user to convert a conventional keyboard in a num pad area and it seems that this has happened to you. This is known as an integrated numeric keypad. Unfortunately, ignition and extinction of this feature is different from the manufacturer manufacturer (and even the model from one manufacturer to another model), so it is very difficult to know exactly which key to tap to turn off the keypad option. If you spot a NumLck key while it will be, well, sometimes it's Fn + NumLck. If you do not have this key, then your laptop will require a combination to turn it off.

  Check the documentation that came with your laptop. If you can't reason this out, post back with the brand and the model of your laptop and someone might be able to find it for you.
