  It was an exhausting fix.  However, a problem that seems prevalent with machines of OS that came with Vista, but got XP installed on them.

  The problem is resolved: that is the solution and the method.

  First, I tried to reinstall the operating system and installing the drivers in a different order.  -WORK

  I reinstalled the operating system and tried to install the driver in safe mode, partial correction, pilot would install, but would not start in standard mode - WORK NO

  I recently moved to Adobe Audition to Soundbooth as part of the e-learning suite. I'm used to be able to get the voice very clean and simple narration recording in Soundbooth, but can't seem to get the right settings in hearing (CS5.5). The narrative still sounds like it has reverb in it and I can't get rid of it. I need a very isolated here the "studio type" his product and it has been easy in Soundbooth. Anyone have better recommended settings for the audio narration at the hearing?

The problem is software because I can achieve the required high speaker volume if I use VLC Media Player and set the volume to 200%. With Windows Media Player, set the volume to 100% is sufficient. I'm looking to increase range parameter on the control panel of Volume as a general solution. Can you advise if this is possible? I looked at a few ideas, these courses: edit files (.inf) SoundMAX driver. Modify the registry keys concerned. Use different audio drivers (none seem to be available for my hardware). Install the software to boost the audio output (VLC Media Player should be achieve this somehow). Install alternative (rollback) Microsoft drivers. Any advice would be much appreciated.

  Just an update of my efforts on this issue.

  I revisited the audio registry settings SoundMAX for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\ \0005\Settings {4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. These are installed when you install the driver for SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio. Changing these settings has already failed to get an increase of output audio volume. I have now found some settings of the value of these registry keys that have given me a satisfactory increase in the volume of the audio. In short, the cure for my situation was:

  The file source (wdm3516b_Cadenza.exe) driver available from the Download Center Intel is a self-extracting ZIP file. Unzip this file to a location convenient temporary store (C:\Temp)

  Use a text editor (Notepad) to edit the INF of the driver - in my case, it's "smwdmCH4.inf. Changes to this file cause the digital signature of the file to be invalid, but choose "Continue Anyway" to solve this problem during the installation of the driver. To increase the sound volume levels, the audio volume registry key value parameters that have been predefined 08 (hex) have been changed to 01 (hex). I suppose that this change dB levels produced by the SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio.

  To install the new settings:

  Uninstall the SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio hardware by using Device Manager.

  Restart the PC - this should give a "new hardware found" restart of the PC.

  Use Device Manager to reinstall the driver for SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio. Do not use the automatic selections for this - run the installation process where you stored the INF driver edited file.

  Once installation is complete, a check on the properties of the device must indicate that the device is functioning properly.

  Use regedit to check that changes in the edited file driver INF appeared in the area of the Windows registry - in my case, it is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\ {4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} \0005\Settings.

  I will emphasize that it is NOT a recommended fix - it turns out that it worked for me. The usual caveats apply - save your original settings, or better yet, use software disk image to make a copy of your drive hard so that you go back to square one if she's going "pear-shaped" with adaptations that have been made.

  The operating system is Windows Vista Home BASIC, so gpedit.msc is not installed.  I have activated the system administrator account for my use when I am called to repair the computer and set the Standard user to user account.  The problem is that the only way I found to disable IE and the Control Panel causes them be turned off in BOTH accounts.  I wish I could disable them ONLY in the user account.

  The only solution I found to disable the control panel is a registry hack in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current versionpolicies where I put a DWORD 32-bit "NoControlPanel" with a value of 1.  I tried to do that in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER hive, but it had no effect.  This kind of work, but there are two problems then; Mises_a_jour Windows 1) won't install and 2) when I have to go to work on the computer, I first change administrator user, then change the DWORD value to 0 and finally to restart the computer, causing additional assignments, lengthen my time at work.

  Second, the only solution I could find to disable IE was in the default protrams Panel, which disables the administrator as well.

  Can someone tell me if there is another way to achieve this, while IE and control panel are disabled only for the user?

  Change the security to the IE executable rights? Remove 'Users', while you keep the administrator rights.

  Thanks for your response, but will not solve problem of this "gentleman". The object is not so much to limit internet access, as it should restrict access to programs.  He is 91 years old, has small hands and types rapidly with two fingers, but made many mistakes.  Disability is before everything to prevent clikety snap everywhere, because he creates sort of a zillion copies shortcuts of the webpage on his desk, until everything hangs and I have to go a push up on his mess. The same reason applies to the Contorl Panel.  We don't want it to be able to get to the Panel "printers."  When a document will not be printed for a reason, he go, dummy click around and created a bunch of copies of the printer, with a gazillian of documents clogged up in the queue of the coil.  I had to cclear up to 100 documents from the spool on 50 copies printer queue.  It's really an economic problem for his son.

  Hmmm... When I went the last decade using Lightroom in the video from 30 years in the stills, and Yes, a LOT of work in the curves... like a lot of old stills shooters I wanted CURVES. I know there are a lot of video of people who love them too much. But after reading the book "Color Correction for video" Hullfish & Fowler and 'see' how they used the various tools in the different programs of ranking... and really learn how to use the color wheels & sliders... and a few vids lynda-dot-com on SpeedGrade... even after putting curves in Sg, I've only used them on rare occasions. For this... I would not use them at all.

  Go to the basic color correction area... you have three wheels, Offset, Gamma, & Gain, each with a slider on the left for the corrections of "luminance". In the "package" tab of the offset control is pretty much an up-or-down for any tool. Gamma is in the middle and it grows one way, by compressing the data on one side of the move by stretching on the other. The gain is a contrast of Monster control... space-saving, high go fast, mids some values not low at all. And of course you can use cursors for these too... the option are the wheels, sliders, digital input.

  Shift tab shadows... you have now three orders for shade, roughly the lower third of the picture... lift & fall total values, move the middle section facing upwards or downwards or extend the top of them a bit. There is a control "pivot" to define where the intermediate point will occur or 'pivot' for these changes. Midtones... even in the midrange. Also highlights. So, essentially, you have nine controls up & down the dynamic range.

  For your problem, I would go to tab shadows and using cursors of luma (while watching extended... always have the four outside!) I set the slider of luma shadow offset so the lowest values simply hit the bottom litters... and try the two luma middle and upper lift controls in this section of the shadow. Would not touch that the weakest sky of all... the values are in the midrange region. That I brought upward values below, I would probably adjust using the color wheels for the hue/color control.

  Control Panel > administrative tools > view local Services
  It's the "service" window, it lists all system services. Find "Windows Audio", NOT "Windows Audio Endpoint Builder.
  [just click on any service, then press the letter 'W' on your keyboard, will need you the services starting with the letter 'w']
  Right-click on the "Windows Audio" service and choose "Properties".
  You will see 4 tabs, click on the last one, titled "dependencies".
  In this tab, you will see the box "this service depends on the following system components", it displays 3 services
  Next to each service, there is a "+" icon, click on it to expand the list. 2nd service 2 child services, the 3rd service will be 1 serving children.
  Now make sure that all 6 services (3-hand, 3 children) have the status of "started" in the "Services" window you opened earlier
  Most propably you will find one of these services don't work, just start all the, then try to start the service "Windows Audio" in the tab "general".

  So I've been running my r4 Aurora for nearly two years now and I recently updated my GPU so it works oddly.

  Right now, I am currently trying to run two heterogeneous maps using one as a PhysX processor and the other as the main map rendering.

  So that it works, I had to remove my Sound Blaster Recon3D PCIe and I tried to install the realtek drivers in order to use the integrated 7.1 Audio chip on the MOBO but it refuses to install. That or I'm using the wrong drivers.

  I was wondering if someone could help me to get the drivers to work so I can continue to use my double card set up.

  You can also try messing with the audio configuration inside the Control Panel, it may be only one card is trying to make audio and a tent show, it will take perhaps just a few adjustments
