Yahoo! Mail goes down, Firefox 36 - what is the promlem?

I use Firefox as my preferred browser. I have been using 35 and recently upgraded Firefox to day to 36. Yahoo! Mail is my email provider. Every day, for weeks, when I boot first of all my computer, when I open Yahoo! Mail and connection, Yahoo! Mail freezes. For his release, I've pressed CTRL and ALT, and then press DELETE, more than once, to go to the screen where I can choose to enter in the Manager of tasks. Instead, when I click on CANCEL, Yahoo! Mail thaws. This only occurs when I start the computer and try to connect to Yahoo! Mail fees.

I have read suggestions Firefox and Yahoo! to eliminate what could be causing problem: empty the cache, delete cookies, disabling modules, temporarily disable the anti-virus software (I use AVG), etc... None of them have worked. I read the two Firefox Solver of problems and comments from problem solver Yahoo! saying the problem it's the other service. I see that others who use IE, Chrome and Safari have had similar problems with Yahoo! Mail.

I'm tired of this. What can be done to fix this? I've also posted my problem for Yahoo! Mail issues.

Problem with Firefox and Yahoo. Mail seems to be fixed. What I did:

After looking at other sites forums and help for what might solve my problem, I picked up on a suggestion: update the display driver graphic for my computer.

NOTE: before I did it all downloading something again, I created a System Restore Point, so that I could "undo" any update. If someone does not know how to save time and space, I will not write the steps. I recommend that you learn to do this 1.

I did this and downloaded a driver updated for my peripheral view graphics.

I will not go into the steps to do it here. I created a system restore point, 1. Then, I got the updated driver on the website of the supplier of the device driver of my computer, AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) graph display.

For all those who wish to update their graphic display device and who does not know how to go on this issue, I suggest you go to what I consider a reputable computer help forum web site, MajorGeeks.com. (See more info on MajorGeeks.com below).

After I downloaded and installed an updated for my peripheral graphics display driver, I've wound up my computer and turn it off. I rebooted to see if I had on it, is no longer the problem as I said above in my initial post. I still had the problem. Dang!

But then, I thought that perhaps the problem was with my setting of Cookies for Firefox. Before I had updated the graphic display device driver, one of the many attempts I made to solve the problem was that I changed my privacy settings of Firefox so that I always accepted Cookies from third party sites. Changing the setting to accept Cookies only from Sites you visited. Make that change does not appear to fix the problem, either, so I reset the Cookies affecting only accept Cookies from Sites visited.

With my graphics display device driver update, I have now returned to Options (click Tools) for Firefox and in the parameters of confidentiality, has chosen
Always to accept third party Cookies.

Then, I liquidated and and restart my computer to see if the change of Cookies made the difference.

Now, I don't have the problem, just after my computer starts and after you have connected to the Internet, when I first opened up Firefox and go to Yahoo! Mail. The connection full of Y! M is not instantaneous, however. I counted about 20 seconds (1 and 2 and 3 and...) before the full Yahoo! Mail opens and he 'unlock'

Note: I have my Firefox to delete all cookies when I close Firefox. I suspect some of the slow initial start and connecting of Yahoo! Mail has to do with Cookies being deleted when I closed Firefox and shut down my computer.

After several years of success with Yahoo mail and Firefox, I can longer open mail of Yahoo (jpg, bmp) images. I can open them in gmail with Firefox or IE. I can open them in Yahoo mail using IE. I am running Firefox 7.0.1 and I think, but am not sure, all my trouble started after the update to this version of Firefox.

RESOLVED: Here is the solution to "I can't open the images in Yahoo mail with 7 Firefox, but IE works." Just before I log on my E-mail Yahoo site I turn on cookies, but I never enable third-party cookies. That has always worked very well until October 2011. Just after I installed the new Firefox 7 this problem started. Now I just found out that the problem is solved, if I enable cookies from third party. Users should not have to enable cookies from third party read the Yahoo mail via Firefox!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones transfer between Yahoo mail and Gmail service by default for the calendar

    Nice day

I'm abandoned on the use of Yahoo Mail after 13 years.  I get expired and are having login problems and some of my messages have forwarded to my BlackBerry.  So I opted to use Gmail as my primary email provider and it has worked fine until now.

I use the Outlook calendar on my phone and sync it with my Torch 9800 using the USB connection.  If I delete my Yahoo Mail as a sevice of default for the calendar, contacts and Messaing list and select Gmail as my default service how convert all my calendar and contacts with Gmail profile.  In fact, don't know if my list of contacts would be affected since I do not see the association from the list of contacts to my Yahoo Mail currently.   If I delete my Yahoo profile would be deleted my events or would they are transferred in the default calendar profile?  Or do I just sync it again with my vision and my events will be transferred to the Gmail profile after selecting the Gmail as my default service for the calendar and the contacts list.  I hope I explained this correctly.  I also have a profile on Facebook timeline showing birthday reminders, which I am trying to remove, but it is another problem.

I want to do it right the first time and will not accidentally delete my events and contacts list.

    Thanks in advance.

Prior to do any make a full backup of the device.

I think that you can solve this problem by Gmail, default service. Then in the calendar app, go to Options. On the screen, enter the letters M O V E. Who should move all the events of the calendar by default. It's been a while since I've done it, though.

  • Firefox displays wrong email address clickable on yahoo mail sign in field when I type the first letter. the Explorer it gets right.age

When I type the first few letters in the sign in box on the Yahoo Mail sign in page via my Firefox browser last edition (Windows Vista) my clickable shows of Hotmail address in the drop-down list instead of my Yahoo address, (both begin with the same word.) so I then need always typing in my correct Yahoo address to connect. Internet Explorer gets this right, making me think it's a browser problem.

I tried the settings in Yahoo and all in Firefox Tools/Options, I think. Thanks for any help!

    • Click on the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
    • Select an entry in the drop-down list
    • Press the DELETE key (on a Mac: shift + delete) to remove it.

I have a recurring problem with the yahoo mail page reported that the HTTPS connection is not safe. The Green lock becomes gray with yellow padlock symbol as soon as I open an email.

I can see Web site to yahoo mail on IE without problem, but all too so I have zero problems with any other HTTPS site seen via firefox.
It seems that there is some specific problem with yahoo mail on firefox and I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this problem.

I played a bit with turning off Add ons, no effect.

Hello, this will result in emails that integrate the content loaded via a connection http (as an image). the gray lock with the yellow warning always means that the data that you view and enter the site are secure and only passed on to yahoo. Firefox may be more proactive you warning about it than other browsers.

You can also configure firefox to block the loading of http-elements such as images in another way encrypted https-site - then the Green lock should always stay in place on your mail:
enter on: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named security.mixed_content.block_display_content. Double-click it and change its value to true.

  • I'll do a clean install on a blank hard drive upgrade but want to keep my Firefox settings - what is the best way to do this?

I'll do an upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7. I will be installing Windows 7 on a new empty hard drive. I want to keep my bookmarks Firefox and Ad Ons. What is the best way to do it. Thank you for your help.

    Hello

The best thing for you to do is to make a backup of your Firefox profile. It is a folder that stores bookmarks and Add-ons that you can then add to the reinstalled Firefox on your new operating system.

Learn you more about the Firefox profile folder, how to backup and restore, here.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look at in another option for you.

This seems to be related to the 'Gamers unit' toolbar, using xml.freecause.com. Apparently freecause.com has left their security certificate expired, and those of us using the Snag bar receive this error because of the snag bar Gamers unite and not FireFox itself.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Message folder and each individual e-mail messages with account? What's the point?

I am a new owner of blackberry 8330 and I try to navigate around him.  I have set up my email with my AT & T email yahoo.  I see the icons for each of these accounts on the screen with all icons, each showed as a separate email account.  So why, when I click on my icon 'message', make all the emails of these accounts?  Seems to be a bit redundant for me to have icons for each email and then the 'message' box where they all appear. (And I do not have separate SMS icon and I don't know it is for text messages.)  In any case, there must be a reason for all messages from this one place.  Any help, anyone?

Also, is there a way I can give these email accounts passwords so if someone had to pick up my phone, they couldn't read my emails?  I really don't want to have to lock my phone or have to sign my phone everytime I want to use it, a few passwords of these accounts.

    Thank you.

Some people like their messages to go to the same place. Personally, I find it boring so I created a folder on my home screen and I put in all the applications that I use right here, so I don't even have to watch them, but always know where they are snacks I have needed one of them. Password protecting your email, you can not, you can lock only of the whole device.

  • From about 2 days ago, I can use is no longer Yahoo Mail Chat. I tried to disable the plug-ins and Add-ons and clearing cookies, cache and active connections. I enter in IE and have access to the chat but I use FF as my browser

This is a regression in FF9, see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=713014 try FF 10 in beta which is unaffected or follow the workaround solution published in the bug report.

  • Pls explain: I get a lot more spam in Yahoo Mail since changing browser from IE to Firefox. This is a fact, not a perception.

In addition, I noticed an increase in the frequency of ads in Yahoo Mail when using Firefox from when you use IE.
When I pass the Firefox browser to IE, spam is reduced in overtime. I tested twice, is no coincidence.

You have selected the two responses as "helpful", but if your problem is solved?
