Yamaha AC - XG Audio device

Could someone tell me if the generic driver available at Yamaha (AC - XG Drivers generic version 6.13.10.3157) can be used instead of the driver provided by Toshiba, which is the version of the driver 6.13.10.3152. Also would lose any functionality by installing the generic driver?

Yahama inform you that,
"The generic driver may NOT work with your system. You SHOULD consult the manufacturer of PC before download AC - XG generic Drivers to make sure it works. This generic driver supports also basic functions only. If you want full features supported driver, contact the manufacturer of your PC. »

Hello

If you want to be sure that everything will be working properly, you must use the driver provided by Toshiba, because all Toshiba drivers are tested and they will not work correctly. You can try to install the Yamaha driver, but there is no guarantee that this will work very well.

The Yamaha is quite correct.

Good bye

My Satellite 5200 801 makes no noise after that I installed the XP SP2. I tried to find a new driver for the Yamaha AC - XG Audio device (one that does not is 6.13.10.2152 (2002-07-19 day), but I wasn't able to find anything.)
    Please, could you help me?

    Hello

I found another announcement in this forum on this subject!
Your Satellite 5200 802 has a sound chip called Yamaha YMF753 and it is built in different notebooks! This chip problems with Service Pack 2 because MS consider that the pilot of his Yamaha AC - XG is unstable. When Service Pack 2 is installed, Windows disables the audio driver.

Here are some links that might help you!

    WOW!
You are still using the good old classic? Surely she s or it was a nice laptop but maybe it's time for something faster? ;)

    Back to your question;
On the European driver Toshiba page, you can find drivers Tecra 9100.
You should look in the Archive (in product type click Archive instead of the laptop)

There are two audio drivers for Win XP.
She s Yamaha audio driver version

  • Satellite Pro 4200: PCI multimedia audio device

I have a very old 4200 Pro Satellite that worked perfectly for many years. I was cleaning it upwards as I have not used for a few months. However, I'm sure that I deleted by mistake the drivers for the audio device, as the sound now works more and I don't know how to reinstall. I tried all the obvious stuff, like installation of the equipment through the Panel of control etc. I think that it is a map of his Yamaha...

    Very welcome advice.

    Hello Christine

As far as I know all the drivers, you can find the Toshiba Site Canadian. Please visit this site http://209.167.114.38/support/Download/ln_byModel.htm.

Select your laptop model and you will find the driver for the sound card.

Scroll down the list when it's done and see if in the 'Compatibility' column if anything incompatible lists or failed.

  • NCAA games go to bad audio device, even when I say o/s otherwise. How to replace Firefox?

I guess that's a FF issue, since everything else seems to work OK. I have a USB headset plugged into the USB hub under my desk. I use the properties of the Audio devices > Audio in the control panel (XP Pro) to switch between the headphones and speakers of the laptop.

The problem is that I can't sound through Laptop speakers playing games via Firefox NCAA without unplugging the USB headset physically. I hate to crawl under my desk to do it. If I tell the OS what speakers to use, do not change it. I should be able to force audio to speakers for computer without physically disconnect them. I use my laptop to a large number of web conversations with my helmet, but I don't want to physically disconnect when I what to listen without headphones.

No sooner had I posted my complaint that I discovered that other applications have the same problem, although I said otherwise. And FF works fine if the USB headset is activated as the device by default until I start FF (or tab maybe the FF). Maybe the 'problem' is the operating system, if it does not notify a change of aircraft FF. Or, maybe the problem is FF, if it does not acknowledge the notification from the OS.

In any case, I now have a work-around that seems compatible with other applications on Windows. However, any other ideas would be appreciated always. I think that changing the operating system's audio playback device must notify immediately and performed by all applications using the headphones/speakers/whatever, regardless of when the application started.

    Bye... done so far

    Hello

    You are welcome

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp54001-54500/sp54400.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When finished, restart the computer and let Windows load completely.  Open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

    Kind regards

    Hello:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to see if this audio driver IDT W10 installation works for your PC.

This package contains the driver that allows to the Audio IDTHigh-definition (HD) in models of laptops that arerunning an operating system supported.

    File name: sp63555.exe

    Install and reboot the PC.

If this does not work, try the audio driver W8.1 of support for your laptop and driver page.

  • HP Elitebook 8440p: lack of "Audio device high definition '-win 10 (or 7/8/8.1?)

    Hello

My laptop computer in question is a HP Elitebook 8440p

Just upgraded to Windows Pro 10 x 64, and I managed to find the drivers for all of them, except a device.

    Under >

    > Sound, video and game controllers

    -"High Definition Audio Device".

It has a hardware ID of:

    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_8086 & DEV_2804 & SUBSYS_80860101 & REV_1000

    I already tried to install:

    -IDT Audio Drivers

    -LSI High-Definition Audio (HDA) Modem

    -Intel Chipset Installation utility

None of the foregoing has managed to get rid of the yellow exclamation power off the device under the Device Manager view.

I had a few other devices where win 10 has not installed by default, and for drivers Win 7 seems to work very well, so I guess that the same is true with the one above - I just need to know what to install...

Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

    Hello:

You must manually install the audio driver Intel HDMI driver W7 Intel HD graphics support page for your laptop.

Here is how to do this without messing up your graphics driver...

First download and install this free utility for files... 1 file on the list is 64-bit.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

Then, download and save the graphic driver Intel support page for your laptop.  Do not run it.

After downloading the above driver file, right-click on it and select 7 - zip from the list.

Have 7-zip extract of: and leave it to decompress the file in the file name (sp64360).

Once this is done, go to the Device Manager and click on the audio device HD requiring the driver.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the driver 7-zip created folder.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

    Then restart.

  • No audio device on the laptop

Hello. Can I have posted this in in the wrong place, but I don't really know what I'm doing when it comes to laptops!

Recently my laptop is broken (it says summat recently attached a device (which I didn't actually: S)... anyway, I had to wipe everything on my laptop and reinstall Windows everywhere still.) Everything works fine except the noise. When I go to the Control Panel, it says that there is no audio device on my laptop.

Can someone tell me if there is anything that I can download or purchase for the sound on my laptop please?
    Thank you.
    Natalie.

p.s. Could keep you things simple cos I don't REALLY know anything about laptops... I'm sorry.

You must give us a little more information about your problem as your model of laptop, Windows and to this day.
Did you install the laptop with the Toshiba recovery disc or disc of Microsoft?

  • No Audio device

I use a desktop Pavilion a1587c with XP Media Editon computer.

I just installed a NVIDIA GeForce 640 video card to replace the origional dead card.

It seems that audio HDMI card caused my card onboard Realtek HD audio stop.  I have no sound, the speaker in the taskbar icon has disappeared, and the page of sounds and Audio devices says no Audio device.  In Device Manager, under sound video and game controllers it appears as unknown.  The Device Manager also shows that no driver is installed.

I disabled the audio part of the NVIDIA card and tried to restore my audio card, without success.

Restoration of the pilot indicates that he has re-installed the driver, but it still does not work and no driver show in Device Manager.

I downloaded the drivers from the HP site, but trying to install gives me a BSOD and instant reboot.

    Help!

Go into the BIOS and enable the audio embedded.

  • Portege R700 - Win7 - cannot find the driver for USB Multimedia Audio Device

Are there any Windows 7 drivers for the "USB Multimedia Audio Device" found on a R700 with the Toshiba Hi Speed Port Replicator II (PA3916U-1PRP)?

In "Devices and printers", there is a device in the section called a + USB Multimedia Audio Device + Unspecified +. Windows 7 can not find the drivers for it. Audio seems to be working through the port replicator.

The only related issue I've seen is that sometimes, when I press the "eject" button, Windows complains that a device is in use and the ejection is defective. This is very similar to that reported as ' [Undock R700 question P3838 |]» http://forums.Toshiba.com/T5/General-troubleshooting/R700-undock-from-P3838-issue/TD-p/149453].

In my case Windows tell me an application to use it or the device in use. I strongly suspect the audio device.

I have not found a solution so eject manually despite the failure or sleep it and then eject manually. I didn't notice the two approaches being necessarily better.

    HI PeterH,

Just a simple question: do you use the preinstalled version of Windows 7 at Toshiba and you have most unknown devices in Device Manager or just this USB Multimedia Audio device?

  • No audio device installed Satellite L300-28R (PSLB8E-12T018GR)

    Hello

My English isn't the best, unfortunately. Maybe someone can help me.

    The following problem:

A Satellite L300 ran without problems until now with windows 7 (32 bit). I had then increased PC speakers of this came of trust with a USB flash drive that will serve as an audio interface for mailboxes. He has been infected by the first recognized by Win7, installed, and I could use Ihne. But then the sound card integrated (Realtek HD Audio) is disabled. Now, when I remove the USB audio interface I have no more sound. There is a lack of complete the "Realtek HD Audio" entry in the audio control.

In the Device Manager is not an entry ' Audio, video and game controllers' also appear longer. The interesting thing about the HD audio driver, but he is always installed correctly. It is found but no entry for more video, audio, game controllers, and if I was in the toolbar the look of speakers just click on it a red cross when he get up "no audio output device installed."

On this, I tried to uninstall the system USB audio drivers (no problem) has restarted. Not always the same sound problem.

That's why I completely uninstalled all drivers audio and tried Windows 7 default drivers. The same problem. I uninstalled the audio drivers, this time I tried the drivers Toshiba, same problem.

Fact is I can remove all the drivers, reinstall, which happens without problem and the error message, then it is same because "drivers have been installed, the machine can be used now" I click on what there is also my drine Realtek HD Audio. But then I opened the Soundsteurung he wrote me, "No audio device installed" it's almost as if the onboard sound has been disabled in the BIOS, but unfortunately there is no entry exists, since the BIOS is usually something to bend parameters.

I have integrated sound card in my vemutung the BIOS from a USB audio interface is disabled, I would now like to 'hidden' bios unlock options and manually activate the sound again. Unfortunately, I do not know how do I unlock the BIOS.

Is there anything else maybe ideas, suggestions or solutions? Have already the system is set up with new same problem, the drivers are installed, the device is detected and marked as ready, but not input in the audio control and no entry in the Manager of devices for "audio, video and game controllers".

Once had a similar problem with my desktop where I could pass without any problem, but the onboard sound in the BIOS again, unfortunately, what with the Toshiba BIOS Lite is not the case.

Hope someone can help me here, slowly I won't now, so that a new installation was not, I see the problem with the BIOS setting.

    Hi mate

To be honest I'm not quite sure what the problem might be m.
Your ad is also a bit confusing.

First of all, the BIOS is not similar to the BIOS that you can find on desktop PC and as far as I know there is no special option to enable or disable the sound card.

So I think that in your case, it s BIOS not deliver.
I think that its Windows operating system that makes some disorders who knows maybe the registry is confused up similar facts is that you should see some yellow exclamation points in device if Manager driver would be absent or you should see an unknown device in the devices list

The latest Realtek audio driver could be downloaded directly from the Realtek page, but even if the Realtek audio driver is not installed Win7 standard driver should recognize the sound chip and sound must be detected during the operating system installation.

I think you should try to install a driver from Realtek but if this won't help you, then you should try a new installation of the OS. Get it back you would help define the laptop back to factory settings and I think it's the fastest solution in your case
