Yoga 13 HDMI questions

My Yoga 13 doesn't seem to work with HDMI, or does not want to my TV. I'm not sure. I have an APEX digital TV and of course my 13 of Yoga and a HDMI cable but for some reason, when I plug my Yoga on the TV, the signal is not cross. I know that my Yoga has worked with HDMI before cause two days ago I plugged on my friends TV and it worked perfectly immediately. I know that the HDMI cable I have works fine because I use it for my Xbox all the time and it works perfectly and without any problems. So maybe that's the TV? I'm not sure. But as a side not, I tried hanging in another TV in my house and it doesn't work on that one either. Could someone help me with this as to why it might not work?

Hi senki.

Welcome to Lenovo Community!

Make sure that the APEX digital TV is positioned on the HDMI source

Your Yoga make sure you press f10 or Fn + f10, and then choose duplicate on screen option

Also try reinstalling the graphics driver

Graphics integrated for Windows 64-bit driver

Hope this helps,

Hi people, I have recently connected my Yoga via HDMI to my TV Samsung 40 ". Unfortunately, the image quality does not as good as my old T61 via VGA hooked up to my TV. Image via HDMI on my TV has some sort of "shadows" around the edges at all. I use a HDMI Basics Amazon cable that is capable of 3D and Ethernet over HDMI - I think this cable should be ok.

Did it someone else faced with problems with the picture quality of the Yoga on a TV via HDMI before?

Just for completeness: it was my TV sharpness settings. I had to turn off completely disable the artifacts.

  • HP Envy 17-j050US (syncmaster) HDMI questions

    Hello world

I have this envy 17-j050us Bond in movement and recently when I tried to connect it to the syncmaster via hdmi, I realized this problem.

I've updated the video driver and sometimes she even recognizes the TV in the "screen resolution" window, but it is still black showing 'no signal' or "cannot do this function" (or something like that)

I have connected the laptop with another tv and it works. Even with the syncmaster/other devices such as the PS3.

I couldn't figure it out by myself and its getting on my nerves.

    could someone help me?

    Thank you very much

    Hi again stalonelb,

    Thanks for the quick response!

Given that you have tested all the components of the environment with your laptop and HDMI connections, and the question rests with the Samsung Syncmaster, I recommend you contact Samsung technical support for assistance.

    I hope this helps!

  • Vista to XP Drivers (m9280a) - HDMI question

Hello, our company recently bought many m9280a machines, but had to format and install Windows XP due to some applications, we run that only run in Windows XP. We managed to get most of the features system to run on Windows XP using this HP support forum (in this thread).

Recently, we found that we needed to use the features of the graphics card HDMI, so we wonder if anyone knows which driver to install to get the job of the HDMI.

I think that its an ASUS GeForce 8500GT card on our computers HP Pavilion m9280a, DVI, S-Video and HDMI outputs.

I posted this question here too but I have marked this thread as resolved so I guess end questions would be to neglect.

We greatly appreciate all the assistance and look forward to hear from you.

Try to install the available original driver via the following link:

  • Satellite S50T-B - port HDMI questions

    Hi all...

I hope you can help. I bought my new Satellite October last year and the first day I've known connection of an additional monitor problems. Initially I had an old monitor with a VGA connection, and of course this computer has only HDMI.

So I bought an adapter, which did not work. I tried to connect my computer to the tv with the HDMI cable screen to test it, but it still doesn't work. It is still under warranty, so I sent it to the service of Toshiba, which couldn't find anything wrong with it and returned it to me.

So I bought a new monitor (a BenQ) and a new HDMI cable. Indeed for some reason any he has worked for a couple of months.and isn't now. The computer does not detect the monitor and the monitor says there is no cable connected when I attach it to the computer.

I tried everything and it drives me crazy.

    Hello

The VGA-HDMI adapter will not work because HDMI provides digital signals and VGA (RGB) port supports analog signal. You cannot mix the two!

In any case, go back to your HDMI problem.
    Please try this workaround:
First of all go to BIOS (F2) and put back the default BIOS settings (F9) and save the changes (F10).
Now connect the laptop and the TV with an HDMI cable. The two units must be OFF when connecting.
Then turn on the monitor and then the laptop.

AFAIK, you must use the function key: FN + F4 to switch to a display external or internal.

    Please check this!

  • Envy 14 HDMI Question

Specifically in this case, the envy 4-1130us Windows 8.

From what I've seen so far on the web, the people who use to connect to the HDMI TV do not receive a picture full screen? There seems to be bars on each side, as if it will not output the full picture of the HD.

What is the native resolution of HDMI output? It should not output 1080 p via HDMI and less via DVI, VGA?

I don't want to spend more money on this thing, if I can even enjoy her features as usual...

    Hello

It's something to do with the TV, the video card and ratios of the videos/movies. Nothing to do with HDMI. If your TV resolution is 1920 x 1080 (full HD or FHD) you should get FHD on your TV no matter what. The black bars top and bottom OR left and right are something to do with the format of the content NOT because of TV or HDMI or your computer.

    Hope it makes sense.

PS. You can see many American TV shows have balck bars left & right because they up to use the format of 4:3, widescreen (16:9).

  • Dell Inspiron One HDMI question

I have an Inspiron One 2320.  I tried to connect a TV as a second monitor.  To my surprise, the computer's HDMI port is a HDMI input port.  Am I reading correctly?  Can someone please help me and confirm that I can't use the HDMI port to connect to the TV?

If it is in fact a HDMI input, what is - this really for?  What devices that require an HDMI port to send the signal to the computer.

I am so confuse with it, and why even do a HDMI input and not a HDMI output?

    Thanks in advance

I have an Inspiron One 2330 Touch.

Other features include an HDMI port... A HDMI-IN port. It would be something like a Blu - Ray player, cable box or DVR amp HDMI out, Tablet... something like that... like the Inspiron is a simple monitor or HDTV.

I was also surprised that the video output was only a VGA 15 pins. Maybe the next model will have a DVI output. At least this way, either natively or with a converter inexpensive... you can drive DVI, VGA or HDMI even (with no sound). DisplayPort is a versatile alternative.

In your case... If your template does not output a VGA (or your second monitor is not a VGA input)... you should be able to get a "USB video card.

  • U2414H - problem with DP and DVI dual monitor

We recently bought 10 monitors x U2414H with 5 machines Dell Precision T1700 each with a Nvidia Quadro K620 x 2 GB graphics card (1 x output DP) and 1 x output DVI.

When advised on these machines, we were also told to the DVI work with our monitor, we would need special cable conversion so learned the order of 5 x DisplayPort (male) to DVI - D (male) cable. At the time to take delivery of our new machines, it became that there was a problem with the configuration that we had been sold. When you connect the first monitor to the billboards on the graphics card, it works fine. However, the problem is when you plug the 2nd monitor, nothing is displayed when it is connected to the graphics card DVI port.

We also called Dell technical support and our account manager to try to solve the problem and they suggested using a HDMI DVI-cables rather than the DVI cable to DP that we sold would not work because of the output frequency. After receiving the 5 x new DVI-cables HDMI question still exists and is no different from before. To remove the graphics card or DVI output being at fault we connected to another single monitor using a DVI to DVI cable and it worked.

Reading through some of the similar positions, it seems that the monitor that we have been delivered is not the good revision number. I've seen a forum member Dell advises that the revision number should be REV A03 while we have been delivered REV A01.

Any advice on what we should do to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated.

    EDIT: Added required information

    * What is the serial number of 20-digit alphanumeric monitor?
    CN - 03415 X-74261-4AT - 116L
    * What is the revision number (A00, A01, etc.)? A01
    * This specific computer model, portable office/computer? Dell Precision T1700
    * What operating system? Windows 8.1
    * Which video card? NVIDIA Quadro K620 2 GB graphics card
    * Which ports are available for the video card? 1 x DVI 1 x DisplayPort
    * Which video output port are you using video card for video on the port monitor? DVI to HDMI and DisplayPort / Mini DisplayPort
    * What cable are you using to set the video card to the monitor? DVI (male) to HDMI (male) & DisplayPort (male) to HDMI (male)

If your Dell account manager allows it, go to the AMD over-pants W4100 would be a good step to solve this.

  • Question about the new Yoga 10 HD +.

    Hello

A few questions about the new Yoga 10 HD + that I hope you can answer.

I bought the former model, last year. Love the design and long battery life, but a few major questions made me return.

    • Somewhere that I've read that it can not read NTFS on USB so I guess that's the same thing with a NTFS formatted microSD card?
    • Can it read exFAT formatted microSD cards?
    • Anyone who has questions about the audio via bluetooth?
(I know that BT is not exactly High End HiFi but the old 10 Yoga for some obscure reason - most likely a driver problem which nobody cared to fix - rang * very * worst with visibly distortion while both my phone and a Tablet noname cheap I have zero about fidelity - any of my devices bluetooth audio) I tried aptX or not)

So to avoid buying it back it also I really I would like to see if I can get my questions answered before buy you.

While I love the form factor and long term issues above are only two Mayor dealbreakers for me. Bad audio quality = no joy listen to spotify, local etc. MP3s. not of NTFS or exFAT = some great movies.

My old noname android Tablet really could use an upgrade so I'm really curious it may be, or I should watch the competition and will be form factor and battery LIFE.

    Thanks in advance.

    EDIT:

If it does not support NTFS or exFAT on microSD card have someone at - he tried ext3 or ext4?

I mean with Linux Android root, it should be a no-brainer to support at least when it comes to royalties unlike NTFS or exFAT where it * might * have some trouble with Microsoft.

I used a USB through a USB OTG cable. NTFS or exFAT have been recognized by the Tablet PC. FAT32 is seems to be the preference.

  • Yoga 2 Pro micro-HDMi issue RESOLVED

I've had my Yoga Pro 2 for about a week now. Slow adaptation to the ins and outs of the device. Recently acquired a micro HDMi to HDMi adapter to connect the 2 Yoga to my TV. Needless to say I was a bit dismayed when I noticed that the adapter worked, but only if I tugged on the connection (toward the front of the machine). When I let go, disconnect the screen and I have no picture. This angered me a little. I read a little about other people having the same problems.

I slept on the issue of a night and then in the morning, I decided to take things into their own hands. A caught a nail file I had laying around and shaved about the width of a thumb to the end of the micro-HDMi connector nail file. I could hardly see any difference in the cable connector. Then I tried to plug it in and voila. No problem whatsoever. Tried fishing the connector to the rear, low, high, before. Without interruption...

I know it's a little frustrating, but I like the rubbery feel of the Yoga 2 body and was ready to do a few TWEAKS to make it work. A took about 5 minutes total. Now am happy once again...

This gives a try if you have a problem with the connection.

    Just thought I'd share...

    lootzius

    You are welcome...

I wasn't ready to give up, I really like this Y2P so far. And it was boring but if the fix is easy and even I can do it, then you know...

    See you soon...

  • Question on HDMI & USB hub port

I noticed that my 13 Yoga has a Micro HDMI port. I have a standard as they adapters or do I have to buy a Micro HDMI cable?

Any of you use a hub to additional USB ports? What brand do you recommend for this laptop?

    http://www.Amazon.com/MonoPrice-6inch-34AWG-speed-Ethernet/DP/B00507GV38

I used Helio front hub with no problems. However, I no longer use hubs. I have a bluetooth mouse, so I have two free ports for exHDD to USB/exHDD disk transfers.

  • 2 13 Yoga (not Pro) pre-purchase Questions

Yesterday I watched the Ultrabook Yoga 2 13 (no pro version), 4 GB of RAM, processor I5, 500 GB hard drive in a big box store. I seriously think about this, but wonder about the noise of the fan (in conditions of high load) and any possible question that this computer can have. I am sensitive to the noise of the fan, because I work, watch, or listen in calm conditions. I asked the seller if they have a quiet place that I could take the computer and the answer is 'NO '.

Does anyone have experience with this (or similar 2 Yoga) computer and could comment on fan noise / sound and any other questions that you have noticed, the simultaneous use of Wifi and Bluetooth or Wifi performance?

    Thank you in advance!

Well, I should have read your entire post. I can't make comparisons between pro and non pro. Because of my budget, I only watched the non-pro version.

I have not considered that 500 GB drive hard because I need extra space. The fan noise is essentially negligible. The fan noise was only a problem when you initially configure the laptop.

As the battery life is concerned, I can only imagine. I use the computer sporatically throughout the day with the brightness of the screen to 50%. The batterly takes 6 hours.
