You can uninstall Windows Defender in Vista?

I have MSE, which stop Windows Defender. The only problem is that the victory. Bat file MsMpEngine.exe is still running and devours 78 808 k of RAM. For a program not even in use. How can I uninstall it? Please, don't say that it is built into Vista and therefor can not be uninstalled.

  • How do we uninstall Windows Defender signatures

    Kaspersky is slow.

I had already uninstalled defender of windows using Add / Remove programs and it does not appear in this list more, but Kaspersky technical support told me that I also had to uninstall windows defender signatures.

How this, or check that they are really already uninstalled?

I don't really see an uninstall issue.

    Hello

As I said, you can stop Windows Defender from running as shown above. It is up to
Windows and cannot be uninstalled and there is absolutely no reason to do so since
When it is not loaded at startup it has no influence on the system. Similarly, the definitions
    do not be uninstalled.

If you are having problems, it's Kaspersky bringing as usual. Their support is just
puffing smoke, confusing the issue, rather than admit their questions. BTW Kaspersky
knows this as well because they say something that they know is incorrect, that means
either they don't care or simply refuse to admit the real question.

Bottom line is that if you stop Windows Defender to run or the definitions
    no influence on the system.

Note: even though I am an MVP, I'm not a Microsoft spokesperson nor I tell
I do not have to be the truth. Kaspersky is your problem.

  • Cannot uninstall Windows Defender Windows XP computer.

    Original title: uninstall Windows Defender...

I am running Windows XP, Vista or 7. I downloaded Windows Defender on the MS site some time ago, but now I want it out for GOOD.  Can I uninstall anything else on my list of programs except Windows Defender. When I asked him to remove the program, he said: I am running in SafeMode (no) or my Windows Installer is not installed properly (not). How can I get it my computer?  I put it there, I should be able to take off, it shouldn't I?  I wouldn't be able to decide what is on my own computer and what isn't?

    Hello

    1. What exactly is the error message you reciev when you try to uninstall Windows Defender?
    2. You have Microsoft Security Essentials installed on the computer?

Microsoft Security Essentials has not automatically disabled Windows Defender in Vista or Windows 7, you must turn off to avoid conflicts. Windows Defender can't be uninstalled Vista or Windows 7.
If Microsoft Security Essentials does not automatically uninstall Windows Defender on XP, you must manually uninstall Windows Defender through Control Panel of configuration/Add / Remove programs.

You can try the troubleshooting provided in the link below steps to resolve problems with installing and uninstalling the programs in Windows computers.

Can error 0x800106ba on any attempt to open code I Defender. I also acquired McAfee at some point, but I uninstalled it hundreds of years ago but I still have the same error message whenever I try to open Windows Defender. Help, please

It is not fair to McAfee posing problem with the Defender:

    Windows Defender:

If you have Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG, McAfee, Norton, etc. installed, they have a conflict with Windows Defender, or turn it off.

Microsoft Security Essentials has its own integrated version of the defender and should automatically disable the version of Vista in Windows Defender.

    If it's not:

Hello, just to be sure I have the correct information, Windows Defender lights not in Windows Vista with Microsoft Security Essentials, as Essentials has its own version of the Defender.  The error code I received is the same as the previous posts in which is: 0x800106ba.  Again, just to be sure, I understand, I should stop trying to turn Defender because Security Essentials has covered it, okay?

    Hello

Yes; Microsoft Security Essentials should disable Windows Defender for the reasons you mentioned.

If she didn't turn it off, you should manually have to do it anyway.

    This information explains Microsoft explained:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/protect/Forum/MSE-protect_start/Windows-Defender-and-Microsoft-Security-Essentials/5309cb8d-02e1-40E8-974f-0dcedb9ab9fd

Q: is - this installation of Microsoft Security Essentials (XP/Vista/7) disable Windows Defender?
    A:
Microsoft Security Essentials should disable Windows Defender in Vista and Windows 7, and then uninstall it from XP. In some cases, this does not happen automatically.

Q: what happens if I do not disable or uninstall Windows Defender, if I use Microsoft Security Essentials (XP/Vista/7)?
A: If Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Defender are both running, your system can know the performance degradation and other problems caused by the conflict of two services providing real-time protection at the same time.
