I assume that your iMessage works well?

SMS is usually carrying through and the phone is just a vehicle to make them

Also, I would check

Settings - Notifications - Messages - turn it off

Force restart the phone

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support

Change it back and see if that helps

    So before I bought and placed 4GiG ram in my satellite I looked on the site of toshiba connected and so on... found my cell phone and I noticed Max ram is 4096 M, great, I thought, off I went and got 4GiG ram and installed 2 giga both to make sure that the ram is not defective "", then when the two sticks has been tested and bios and windows that I have placed both at the same time that windows has "known issue" you see don't not 4GiG ram which is OK by me, I guess, but then I noticed that the bios of the laptop sees 3063 Mb which is * very strang me! *

    When I called toshiba, they said yes, you'll still 4GiG of RAM, but what confused me is if I installed then bios should also show the fact that theres 4gig 4gig?

    I've updated my z10 to the new os 10.2 and many options are missing.

    Unfortunately, by saying "10.2" is only half of what is necessary to know your BONES... There are 4 bytes, not 2.

    However, if you feel that things are missing, then you must reload just in case something went wrong with the update. You can recharge via Desktop software or an autoloader.

  • Time Machine, you see only not the ssd internal

    Today, I had my old OWC replaced for a bigger Samsung 850 EVO SSD SSD internal flash drive.

    I named the new SSD, the same as the old.

    The new SSD is the boot disk and it works without problems.

    But now I see that Time Machine does not see this new SSD (he did see and save the old).

    This rather new Samsung SSD is not supported by Time Machine and therefore not show under the volumes available?

    I already tried the following Terminal command:

    : write com.apple.systempreferences TMShowUnsupportedNetworkVolumes 1

    But no success with that and in my case it is an interior volume, perhaps the command is wrong then?

    Or am I mistaking here and are the Time Machine preferences "Select disk" only discs showing where you can save to and not FROM (in the 'Options' section, you can exclude certain things and it shows the disc)?

  • New laptop - you see is not the local copy of the library

    I've always had my library (500 GB) on a USB external drive. This has never caused a problem for several years.

    I recently got a new laptop (Lenovo X 250 Windows 7) and I'm working through the implementation. I downloaded the latest version of iTunes... went in the preferences... selected the former library on my external drive folder... nothing. iTunes don't even see.

    After some research on these forums, I followed plan, hold the SHIFT key while opening iTunes to force it to create a new library on the hard disk external. I did it. Then, as indicated, I moved all my media in the newly created iTunes Media folder. Progress! iTunes can now 'see' the library... but all the content is marked with the meaning of the cloud logo I need to download it. So, if I do not have wifi... I can't play any content, even if it is attached everything locally.

    I did a test and click download on a song. The result was iTunes there duplication in my local library by adding a '1' after the title of the song. I checked all the multimedia files are indeed still on the local disk - they are not lost.

    Suggestions on how to get iTunes to consider this as a local library?

    If your entire library was starting with the outside so it should be possible to get it working again. If this isn't the case, you can ensure that you build it correctly this time.

    Regarding duplicates see Re: deletion of duplicates in the library. Note that everything in the media folder must be connected to iTunes first for this script to work.

  • Windows XP, you see only not all files in Windows 7 shares

    I see an embarrassing problem that occur on two different sets of machines on different networks.  The initial symptom that led me to study was that software synchronization third laptop XP Pro SP3 computer a user has acted improperly, saying that some files in directories on a Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit computer were gone, but they really were.

    I traced the problem in several directories on the Windows 7 machine display incomplete content seen on the XP machine network.

    For purposes of explanation, //Desktop/Folder is a share on the Windows 7 computer, which has 167 files it contains.  If you open this share on a networked XP Pro computer, it shows only 140 files.

    For example, File1.doc and File2.doc are both in this shared directory on the Windows 7 computer.  However, on the XP machine, File1 does not appear in the directory.

    On the Windows 7 machine, File1.doc and File2.doc are identical regarding permissions and attributes.  The only differences are the size and creation date.  Look at the rest of the 27 "missing" files in this folder, the results are the same - I see no difference.  The files are not password-protected.

    I have reproduced this exact behavior with the same data on different machines with the same operating systems.  All machines are completely up to date with respect to updates.  There is no detected malware on any of them.  They are on the same workgroup.

    This change in behavior has happened apparently quite recently that the user had no problem with the synchronization software for laptop until last week.

    Can anyone suggest what could happen here?

    I traced the problem to Avast (any flavor).  It turns out that it's a known problem, but not a single notice of too many people.  It is really so when you try to run the software of synchronization between two networked computers and directories that you synchronize are affected by the bug of Avast as the synchronization software performs a very detailed comparison.

    When I uninstalled Avast on the source (Windows 7) XP machine could see all the files in all the network shares.  When I reinstalled Avast, the problem returns.

    I have a ticket in Avast on this problem.

    Hi, VitualPC for Mac Version 7 with Windows XP Home Edition now does not see my main "Windows XP Home Edition' computer file, and when I open the VPC now it asks me if I want 1. Install your own operating system, 2. Installation of Virtual PC for Mac CD, 3. Import from a previous version.   • E3000 you see is not a WD MyBook for Mac 2 TB external hard drive

    Just bought a router from LinkSys e3000 and WD My Book for Mac (+ WD Smartware) in order to save my two MacBook Pro wireless.  The router works FINE for all other wireless and routing functions.

    Bottom line, the LinkSys Router cannot access external drive USB, the same scores if he can 'see' the reader. (By clicking 'claim' does nothing)

    This would have something to do with the functionality of ITS and drivers needed - since I can't add the drivers to the router.

    (1) valid router works by plugging an another WD MyBook essential 1 TB drive (PC version) and the routers sees several partitions.

    (2) worked with support technical LinkSys to check the router works with the journaled Mac partitions and the router worked as expected

    (3) added a FAT on my book Mac volume - still does not work with the router

    (4) plugged my book Mac directly on the MacBook Pro - works fine (actually a backup from two Mac Book Pro both 1 via USB direct connect)

    (5) off VCD - no luck on the router

    Can anyone provide a suggestion before I return this drive to WD?  I'm at my wits end.

    In addition, other that this problem with WD, I can highly recommend the LinkSys e3000.  Seriously HOT router with a huge flow.

    Please ask PD to put this future firmware support on the list for improvements.  I love the router, but really miss you a market of large target with this omission.

    Thanks for all your help aaron, I think I found the problem, the Working Group was the same (which was a problem earlier, but you had me change this before), was sharing, discovery network was on, file sharing was on, I could not even access my xp computor, it turns out it was a firewall issue When I reset my wireless router (don't forget my son reset by mistake, and this is where the problem started), there were a few changes, I noticed that I had 2 firewall running on my xp, my mcafee and my windows firewall, that was the only difference I could find, so I disabled firewall mcafee on xp as my computer vista laptop (when I had a printer connected to the vista I could see it of computor) XP so I'm thinking he had something to do with scomputor xp settings) and now I can see my xp computor and printer as before, not quite sure what, but changes in firewall seemed to do the trick, I didn't even have to install the printer on the computer vista laptop, just showed it as a printer on xp computor the printer works, thanks again for your help
