Virtual PC 7, you see only not "Windows XP Home Edition' computer master file

Hi, VitualPC for Mac Version 7 with Windows XP Home Edition now does not see my main "Windows XP Home Edition' computer file, and when I open the VPC now it asks me if I want 1. Install your own operating system, 2. Installation of Virtual PC for Mac CD, 3. Import from a previous version. Here are a few screenshots. http://home.earthlink.NET/~RV-Jeff/VPC1.jpg.. .it just won't let me not specify the file "Windows XP Home Edition" computer than the file to use/boot from! How can I fix it?

Jeff

Is PS why so difficult to find help on Microsofts website? Or FIND the so-called "forums"? I had to get help online chat able to find this page. And this is the strangest looking for 'forums' I've ever seen...

http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7itprovirt/threads  You might have a better chance to find an answer here. I replied because you had no response. I ran Virtual PC and VMware for about 6 months and all sorts of problems installing operating systems. I just wanted to try something new, but he took too much of my time. I went back to the Flash Animation and videos. I hope you find the answer. Good luck to you.

  • Windows 7 Startet is not Windows XP Home Edition recognize when sharing files.

    We recently purchased a netbook with Windows 7 Starter version in this respect.  We also have a desktop with Windows XP Home Edition.  I put both for file sharing, but it seems to work periodically.  I made sure that the two systems are on "homegroup" and that network discovery, etc. is turned on.

    When I go to 'Computer' on the Windows 7 machine, and then click Network, at the bottom of the list on the left side only (Windows 7 machine) shows up again periodically.  Sometimes the Office presents, sometimes not.  The office is always on while he was trying to do.

    Any ideas as to why this is happening and how to fix it properly so that it still works?

    Uninstall third-party security programs that have a firewall such as Norton Internet Security. Do not simply disable them, uninstall them. If the network works now, replace Norton with a best antivirus and the built-in Windows Firewall. I recommend NOD32 (commercial) or Avast free. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • HP mini 110-1129nr with windows xp home edition, following the file is missing or corrupt \windows\system32\config\system model doesn't have a cd/dvd drive. Help, please!

    HP mini 110-1129nr with windows xp home edition, on said boot computer could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt \windows\system32\config\system computer has no cd/dvd drive. Computer does not load in safe mode, I ran disk hard main test self test it says completion test: failure, check the status: 7 (filled with the read element of the test failed). Help.

    You need an external DVD drive to get the repair will.

    Also the device you own does not seem to have built in the recovery partition. I'm not sure about later versions of this machine, however, it is best to check with HP.

    The problem is that there is a corruption of the registry on your OS or the system could not find where the registry files are due to system files or boot corrupted file.

    A repair can be made with an external DVD, the worst case, is that if the repair doesn't work you reinstall Windows.

  • Cannot install game or applications in Windows 7 Home Edition computer.

    Original title: Windows Installer problems - Windows 7 Home Edition.

    I am running Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit. I tried to install a game last night and at the start of the installer it disappears from the screen and I find myself with an icon in my taskbar tasks that wont open. Sometimes, if I'm lucky and let him go, he will open full screen and allow me to continue with the installation. I thought maybe it was just the game that I was installing. So I tried to install something else non-related and it appears the installer, but the bar never moves. I try to shut it down and he even used close. It will cancel, but even after I cancel, Setup is still used in the process. I've looked everywhere and cannot find a solution to this problem.

    I tried unsubscribing msiexec and re-enrollment it and no luck

  • Satellite A100-62 of the bios, you see only not 4GiG ram?

    Hello

    So before I bought and placed 4GiG ram in my satellite I looked on the site of toshiba connected and so on... found my cell phone and I noticed Max ram is 4096 M, great, I thought, off I went and got 4GiG ram and installed 2 giga both to make sure that the ram is not defective "", then when the two sticks has been tested and bios and windows that I have placed both at the same time that windows has "known issue" you see don't not 4GiG ram which is OK by me, I guess, but then I noticed that the bios of the laptop sees 3063 Mb which is * very strang me! *

    When I called toshiba, they said yes, you'll still 4GiG of RAM, but what confused me is if I installed then bios should also show the fact that theres 4gig 4gig?

    can anyone tell me please what continues

    Thank you

  • ESXi, you see only not all volumns of my raid controller

    I just built a server using a motherboard (MBD-X8DAH +-O) supermicro and supermicro (CSE-825TQ-R700LPB) 2U chassis.

    I installed a 2244100-R adaptec controller...

    And 8 Western digital hds...

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16822136514

    I had some problems with my original 5 10 to raid volume. I wiped the raid, created some little raid volumes 1 and rebooted. Now when I go to create a data store, he sees all the volumes that I created. Yet once I rescan/updated adapters and stuff all this standard, he does not see the volumes that I created. What gives? I have attached a few screenshots.

    I don't know what the controller is capable of. Some controllers have the ability to create small pieces of a picture. These pieces (my term) can be called several things depending on the manufacturer. It could be something like 'virtual drive '. You may need to use an adaptec utility disc to do this. Create the table with all your disks, and then create virtual disks after the fact with the utility. The Adaptec docs are the starting point.

  • Blue screen when you try to install Windows XP Home Edition on Satellite L350D-11 has

    Hello
    When I try to install Windows XP Home (including SP3) on my new L350D-11 has a blue screen after loading the drivers.
    When booting with Kubuntu Live CD (8.x) appears an error message: / sbin/modprobe out anomalous.

    At least I need Windows XP because of some programs that do not work under Vista. Is it possible to install XP?

    Hello

    Hmm I think the BSOD appears because you didn t add SATA drivers in the Win XP operating system.

    However, you can try to install Win XP on your laptop without the use of the SATA driver, but you can change the SATA AHCI in the BIOS in compatible mode.

    Check it out!

  • Windows XP, you see only not all files in Windows 7 shares

    I see an embarrassing problem that occur on two different sets of machines on different networks.  The initial symptom that led me to study was that software synchronization third laptop XP Pro SP3 computer a user has acted improperly, saying that some files in directories on a Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit computer were gone, but they really were.

    I traced the problem in several directories on the Windows 7 machine display incomplete content seen on the XP machine network.

    For purposes of explanation, //Desktop/Folder is a share on the Windows 7 computer, which has 167 files it contains.  If you open this share on a networked XP Pro computer, it shows only 140 files.

    For example, File1.doc and File2.doc are both in this shared directory on the Windows 7 computer.  However, on the XP machine, File1 does not appear in the directory.

    On the Windows 7 machine, File1.doc and File2.doc are identical regarding permissions and attributes.  The only differences are the size and creation date.  Look at the rest of the 27 "missing" files in this folder, the results are the same - I see no difference.  The files are not password-protected.

    I have reproduced this exact behavior with the same data on different machines with the same operating systems.  All machines are completely up to date with respect to updates.  There is no detected malware on any of them.  They are on the same workgroup.

    This change in behavior has happened apparently quite recently that the user had no problem with the synchronization software for laptop until last week.

    Can anyone suggest what could happen here?

    Thanks for your reply, Jonathan.

    I traced the problem to Avast (any flavor).  It turns out that it's a known problem, but not a single notice of too many people.  It is really so when you try to run the software of synchronization between two networked computers and directories that you synchronize are affected by the bug of Avast as the synchronization software performs a very detailed comparison.

    When I uninstalled Avast on the source (Windows 7) XP machine could see all the files in all the network shares.  When I reinstalled Avast, the problem returns.

    I have a ticket in Avast on this problem.

  • laptop, you see only not printer network

    I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS, BUT UNABLE TO SOLVE, I ALSO HAVE A DESKTOP COMPUTER, WITH WINDOWS XP AND A LAPTOP WITH VISTA HOME I HAVE A WIRELESS LINKSYS WRT54G ROUTER, MY ROUTER SETTINGS WERE ACCIDENTALLY DELETED, (MY SON CLICK ON THE RESET BUTTON) AFTER USING LINKSYS, I LOOKED UP MY NETWORK AND RUNNING , THEY HAVE CHANGED MY UNSECURED HOME NETWORK AND CHANGED BY ITS ADDRESS IP BY A NUMBER, I CAN'T GET MY LAPTOP VISTA PRINT, THE PRINTER IS 'OFFLINE' DON'T RECOGNIZE PRINTER WHEN I TRY TO ADD A PRINTER, THIS WHAT OTHER SETTINGS CAN I CHECK, I AM LOST WITH HOW ANOTHER PERSON CHECKED CONFIG PAGE ON EACH COMPUTOR NETWORK PRINTER, IT RECONFIGURED PORT? ANY HELP FOR ME? Thank you

    Thanks for all your help aaron, I think I found the problem, the Working Group was the same (which was a problem earlier, but you had me change this before), was sharing, discovery network was on, file sharing was on, I could not even access my xp computor, it turns out it was a firewall issue When I reset my wireless router (don't forget my son reset by mistake, and this is where the problem started), there were a few changes, I noticed that I had 2 firewall running on my xp, my mcafee and my windows firewall, that was the only difference I could find, so I disabled firewall mcafee on xp as my computer vista laptop (when I had a printer connected to the vista I could see it of computor) XP so I'm thinking he had something to do with scomputor xp settings) and now I can see my xp computor and printer as before, not quite sure what, but changes in firewall seemed to do the trick, I didn't even have to install the printer on the computer vista laptop, just showed it as a printer on xp computor the printer works, thanks again for your help

  • Adding a user to a role, you see only not the role permissions

    Hi all

    Simple question HERE and frustrating because it seems so easy... Oracle 11 G 64-bit (11.2.0.3) on Windows

    I created a role and a user as follows:

    CREATE USER TEST_USER
      IDENTIFIED BY <password>
      DEFAULT TABLESPACE USERS
      TEMPORARY TABLESPACE M_TEMP
      PROFILE DEFAULT
      ACCOUNT UNLOCK;
      -- 1 Role for TEST_USER
      GRANT INTELLIWAVE TO TEST_USER;
      ALTER USER TEST_USER DEFAULT ROLE NONE;
      -- 1 System Privilege for TEST_USER
      GRANT CREATE SESSION TO TEST_USER;

    The role is:

    CREATE ROLE INTELLIWAVE NOT IDENTIFIED;
    -- Object privileges granted to INTELLIWAVE
    GRANT SELECT ON SCHEMA1.ERROR_LOG TO INTELLIWAVE;
    -- Grantees of INTELLIWAVE
    GRANT INTELLIWAVE TO TEST_USER;
    GRANT INTELLIWAVE TO SYS WITH ADMIN OPTION;

    Now when I use the Toad and sign in using the TEST_USER user, I can connect fine but if I try to choose among this SCHEMA1. Table ERROR_LOG, reads table/view does not exist. And when I check the tree of the scheme under the scheme, I don't see this table under that user. It is there.

    What Miss me?

    Thanks in advance!

    It seems likely that the new role is not enabled in the session. Try

    SELECT * FROM SESSION_ROLES;

    While signed in as a user. The new role appears?

    I don't see EDIT USER by DEFAULT ALL ROLE; in your script CREATE USER.

    I don't see EDIT USER by DEFAULT ROLE INTELLIWAVE;

    For example, if the role is not one of the default roles for the user (via one of the above) then you will need to deliver the VALUE ROLE INTELLIWAVE. or the ROLE ALL VALUE; to access privileges granted to this role. The SET ROLE command affects only the current session.
