Your cd/dvd-rw do this? If we are all in trouble.
My computer is a HP Pavilion a620n running Windows XP Home Edition. It came with a Lite On DVD + RW SOHW - 802S. And here lies the problem. It cannot read a dvd or cd disc but fails to write to one. Here are the steps taken by me to solve the problem.
1 checked Device Manager - having said that it is working properly.
2. open the computer and checked all connections are tight.
3. I tried the update driver-said that she already had the best driver loaded
4 tried several cd is not able to write at all.
5 have a diagnosis HP drive. Run that and it says that the dvd + Rw is good.
So now I'm banging my head against the wall and pray someone with more computer savvy so I can help by making a suggestion, comment or a way to solve this problem.
Thank you in advance.
I had the same drive you, bought new and it worked, it burns a SINGLE drive for me, good peace _ it was, then the week after, it wouldn't load or write on discs. I tried everything, checking the drivers, cables, and all came back the same as you. nothing was wrong according to the computer, but however, I knew what was wrong with her. my workout goal was defective. I sent lite - on and I got a response back saying that the coating on the lens if removed kills the lens, when the lazor indicates a disk, instead he beams in the lens and it is grilled. I was offered a refund I had only 2 weeks, but I had to send the proof of purchase, not considered of to with all that so I just threw it. only cost me 29 books. After that, I decided to build my own pc. 2 300 pounds sterling. every pc that I bought in a store still developed a problem, hardware or sofeware, got sick, then built my own and never had a problem with it. still running like a dream. forums that I read online both lite - we have a bad habbit of making broken records and sell them. Maybe not what you want to hear, but it cannot be resolved. unless you want to pay for a new goal that cost more that the player is interesting.

For a long time my system CD/DVD in my laptop Del Estudio 1537 worked perfect. But all of a sudden my computer does not recognize or read or burn DVDs. Can you help me fix this problem?
Hello
You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
correctly.Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.
Brand of the CD or DVD drive can also be the problem. Low quality (cheap brands) are always problematic.
CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.Several good info here:

I just got an error message at startup, which reads: execution of data path: to protect your computer, Windows has closed this program: name: request for logon Userinit, Publisher: Microsoft. My pc is under Windows XP SP2. I think that different multiple verisons of software "virus protection" began to appear in the Explorer. I know that they do not belong on my computer. I tried to close them, but they just kept moving forward. I'm trying to find some help to solve the problem. Moreover, when I close the window of Data Execution Prevention error message, I have my bottom, no other other icons for one of my programs are on the screen. Help... This can be corrected?
Thanks in advance.
Carter2009,
If you started having 'Magical' Antivirus programs to appear on your system that you do not install, then you are infected. Some people may be painful to remove, to others not so much. I recommend http://www.malwarebytes.org/ for malware protection and http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/ for antivirus. But now you're in a bit of a place. I download Malware Bytes and put it on a USB key. Then see if you can boot in safe mode and run MalwareBytes. If you're not in safe mode, take a look at this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318027
Hope these helps. QQ learn manage!
