Z - index in the Finder error dialog

My computer restarted overnight after what turned out to be a problem of failure of Wake sleep. After the computer restarts and the connection, I was confronted a small box (shown).

My question concerns whether the app is owner of this dialog box, and where he lives in the command Cmd + Tab (its z-index, lack of better term). I think that it belongs to the inventor. However, Cmd + "(Cycle through Windows in the Finder command) you may not get the dialog box (or report (also presented) error window that appears if you press the button report... ).

If you lose the dialog behind another window, the only way you find it again is to press F9, then select it. And selecting does not bring the Finder to the front (you stay in any app you were in when you press F9).

If you miss the dialog box, you will never see it again, especially if you have lots of windows open.

Not a bug, but just a LOST island as weird window in OS X.

I am not sure what is owner of the window, but I suspect it's to SystemUIServer which controls the right side of the menu bar and a few other things.

I saw the same problem for other reasons, and the only way to get to the window is with Mission control that you noted.

  • The MCSTRM service failed to start due to the following error: the system cannot find the specified file

    My computer starts rather suddenly gel with many applications.  Today it froze again once I finished a long email and was about to send.  I lost him of course.  My Event Viewer was the topic.  Event 7000, Service Control manager Eventlog.

    What can I do?  I have Vista SP2 64-bit.

    Is that error on this post code, IE something deleted, probably your antivirus or you.

    For problems to explore, which has nothing to do with this post, try this (which covers almost any problem).

    Explorer

    Explorer (explorer.exe) is the program that is the start menu and taskbar, windows folder and the office (which is a folder window).

     

    To see if a fix is available

    In Control Panel (and select Classic discovered in the left pane) select reports on the problems and Solutions (problem of type in the START search box), go to historical problem, right-click of your error and choose check for the Solution.

    You can also right-click and choose Details for more information. Post these details here. The name of the Module fault is important information.

    If the problem affects Panel press the Windows key + R and type wercon (or type it at a command prompt).

     

    Close the browser and start a command prompt

    • Close Windows Explorer
    • Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator.
    • Click Start. Ctrl + Shift + Right-click on an empty spot (just above the power of buttons is one place) then Exit Explorer.
    • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete then Task Manager.
    • Control all processes to explore are closed. On the process tab select explore and right-click and choose end process, repeat if more of an Explorer in the list.

    Then to restart the Explorer after trying all of the following

    • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and choose Task Manager
    • In the Task Manager, click the file menu and then click new task (run) and enter explorer
     

    If you cannot start the Explorer at all

    • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and choose Task Manager
    • Under the processes tab, click Show processes from all users to elevate to administrator
    • In the Task Manager, click the file menu and then click new task (run) and type cmd

    If you cannot start a folder window you can use the Browse button in the new task dialog. Don't forget that you must right click and choose Open rather than double-clicking.

    Nothing seems to be a problem with the page. The specified region is extremely basic html with a compilation option that is excluded. Other regions with the same compilation option do not report these log files in the debug.

    It is indeed related to the build option and you can ignore the messages. I'll put their debug level 9 If you don't see them in the normal debug output.

    Before the page is rendered, APEX load relevant metadata in the wwv_flow package global variables. For example, fill us the tables g_items, the g_buttons and the g_plugs with the definitions of element, button and region, respectively. We do not charge the definitions of components that are excluded by a compilation option. After loading these data, we must build relationships between records, for example, we calculate index of the item in the g_plugs region and store it with the definition of the element. If the region is excluded by a compiler option, but the underlying element is not, the computation of the element cannot find the related region folder in g_plugs. You get messages from debugging for this kind of inconsistencies.

    The Destination Panel does not appear? Try right click on one of the other names of Panel on the right side of the import dialog box and select Destination.

    To resolve this issue, go to the Options > global preferences. Go to the tab design of PCB. There is a drop-down list in front of when an action causes an error in DRC:. Change to remove the error and continue. Click OK. Now you need not be invited for a confirmation e-mail.

  • Executable cannot find the custom error code file

    I'm building a LabVIEW 2013 application on a Windows 7 computer and deploying it to a Windows XP computer. My application has a custom error code file, stored in -- errors.txt, but my executable on the Windows XP machine can't find the custom error file and returns only the string of appeal for all errors that occur.

    When you use is not an installer, I tried to copy the error code at all locations listed here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/6077DBEDA4F9FEE3862571F600449501 but the application still does not load the custom errors. I have the box checked to "Error Codes customized Include" in the construction specifications.

    There are other places that the runtime will look for the custom error codes (I tried all the ones listed above), if the same error codes exist in 2 places the error popup will appear two error messages. Error default 1, it looks like:

    LabVIEW: An input parameter is not valid. For example if the input is a path, the path can contain a character not allowed by the operating system such as? or @.

    NOR-488: Command requires GPIB controller charge controller.

    So if you have a custom error code file and it is available in 2 places that LabVIEW RTE check error codes, you will get the same message before and after the =.

    List the error as "still included" file when building the executable or by checking the box to include files in error did not tour, obviously. Unless you create a Setup program to distribute the application, the error code file must be moved manually. Shared\Errors file works best for me because it's a place that makes sense.

    Also, don't worry - it doesn't me taken 5 months to understand this point, I do not update all my loyal followers (ha) with a solution.

    To quote what I said earlier: "If you just manage the error, the dialog box should disappear."  And the definition of "handle" for the automatic error handler is that you wire to anything, even an indicator error.

    • I am running Windows 7 for packs SP 1 or SP 2 does NOT solve my problem since neither one works with Windows 7.  Is there a way to search for this MUI (Multiple User Interface) missing file? The every thing must have himself installed in the first place. I took my mom (she died in June) and my brother on this PC as users so even if they do not use this PC supports multiple users. Maybe if I deleted as a reboot and additional users it will solve my problems. My updates install OK but I can't run at all system restore. Happen sporatically throughout the day and the error messages inspire each other to end up with dozens of the same error message in the task bar. There is no pictur ~ 1.exe in msconfig. You need to determine how to make this error go away, or which is looking for this program, or to all the less determine where it is sought.

    Although I always think you should ask the help of expert antimalware, if you want to dig a little deeper on your own, here are 3 ideas, neither has no guarantee of success:

    1. take a look in the event viewer (start > run > eventvwr > OK) and see if error messages are displayed that give the name of the routine which tries to launch these exe files.

    2. learn to use the process monitor (and, perhaps, Process Explorer).  These are powerful tools, and the learning curve is a bit steep.  I can't help you here.  See the links in the sidebar or the other of the two pages linked above.  You can start by watching the video here.

    3. in association with the use of Process Monitor, create an exe file with the name that appears in your error message and save it in a folder that is in your path (for example, C:\Windows).  You can make a copy of an existing such as Notepad.exe exe file and rename it to picture ~ 1.exe or create an exe of your own by using a tool like ExeScript.  If you get real ambitious, you might learn a little windows script (for example, this tutorial) and have your exe file displays the name of the process that called it (again, to help you with this is beyond my skills).

    If you try one of these ideas and are able to go to the bottom of your problem, please post back with the details so that others (especially me) can learn.
