Z240 HP SFF: HP SFF Z240 random crashes, blue screens and crashes

Hello

My work machine is a Mini PC Z240 from HP. Last month, the machine began to hang randomly and display blue screen errors. There is not much in the way perceptible models, but it tends to happen when the machine is in use, rather than the idling, and I can reproduce it systematically using the constraint of Prime95 test utility. When I put it to maximize the heat of CPU, as soon as I stop the test, the screens of the blue machine, which indicates a cooling issue.

Fan of the machine is very quiet, although occasionally he becomes very strong after a reboot and then quieted down.

I think the fan to get a louder as the CPU gets hotter during the stress test, but this does not happen, so I wonder if the fan is defective, and if it is a known problem with these machines, or if there is no possible resolution.

Please see below for the output of BlueScreeView, which displays error codes produced by these last blue screen errors.

  • The matching blue screens and random reboots/crashes.

Greetings. A year ago, I built a new computer, including the following parts:

AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core 89W

    Motherboard ASUS M3A78 Pro

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250 GB Sata internal HD

4 GB of Ram DDR2 (not sure of the speed/brand)

Since installing windows, I started getting blue screens of various types. Here are some blue screens I have met:

Interrupt Unhandled Exception, failure of Page in the paginated, computer space made an attempt to write to read only memory, Memory_Management, IRQL not less or equal and Driver IRQL not less or equal. When these blue screens occur, some remain on the screen, while other flick on briefly and the computer begins to restart.

On top of these blue screens, I also sound experience breaks down in loop in games. These experiences are breakers occur anywhere from 5 minutes to more than two hours of play.

In the first dealing with this issue, I decided to test the memory with memtest86. A test actually froze on me. A second test showed no problems. Because of the freeze, I took a bit of ram to see if there could be a problem with some of the sticks is bad. Low and here are the problems disappeared. For a period of time. Some games have kept crashing on me, while others have worked without a hitch. I will mention that a game (World of Warcraft) seems to have more memory than others still ran without encountering any problem later.

Because of all the questions, I decided to reformat/reinstall windows to make sure that everything has been installed correctly. Right out of the door, it began freezing at all normal intervals.

I have this post is because I am curious about how of course, I can be that these problems are caused by a single hardware issue (I think I'm the ram). I ask because DDR2 Ram is cheaper and my motherboard will not support DDR3. However, if I buy the overvalued price DDR2 and it does not solve the problem, then it ends up being a pretty big money sink.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

  • Satellite M70-337: random black/blue screen out of nowhere

    Hello

I have random problems with a black or blue screen appearing suddenly with way now out of it, but to restart. I have no idea why, and that's a problem because I use a dj program and cannot be crashing on me during a concert...

Any ideas why this might be happening?

I hope a quick response because I have a concert Saturday and is not what is happening!

    Thanks in advance!

Here in the forum is not easy to understand what you mean with a black or blue screen. Unfortunately, nobody has posted before and it will be interesting to know what you have done to solve this problem.

  • Stop the random system, blue screen.

Hi, my computer is windows 7 64 bit. for the past few months, my computer has been stop randomly, for example, while playing games, often it works fine. However, many times my computer just freezes and produces a continuous noise of stuttering. When I try to reset, sometimes it restarts successfully, and sometimes it isn't. my computer is an Acer Predator G5910. When I try to reset, it would not produce beep sounds and the little blue light does not appear. I wanted to wait a while later to restart. the computer freezes often also when I don't do anything. for example, if I went to the bathroom and to the left of the screen nothing running home computer, it would freeze again and I have to reset. Blue screens recently have popped up but disappear too fast for me see whats on it.  and sometimes, my computer works perfectly well. I have no idea what still recently, we used our warranty and they said they changed everything inside the computer. It is one of the technical information, I received in the blue screens: 0x0000001E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0x0000000012DA0D60, 0xFFFFF8800F2D68C8, 0 x 0000000000000000)

    nvlddmkm.sys - address FFFFF8800F2D68C8 base at FFFFF8800F278000, DateStamp 503f8bb8.
There was no stop code.  I would really appreciate if someone could help me in this situation. I also want to clarify that I am not a professional on computers.

    Hello

We have three audits of bug:

    LEAPC_INDEX_MISMATCHERREUR (1)

This indicates that there is an inconsistency in the index of State APC.

This is an internal error in the kernel. This error occurs at the output of a system call. One possible cause of this bug check is when a system file or driver has a sequence do not call system to enter or leave the regions controlled or critical.

-It is usually hardware related bug control.

    System_service_exception (3B)

This indicates that an exception happened during execution of a routine that passes from non-preferred to the privileged code code.

This error has been linked to the excessive use of expanded memory and resulting from user mode graphics drivers enjambment and passing data incorrect of the kernel code.

^^ It seems that the exception occurred in ndis! ndisOidSendToMiniportDirect + 0 x 18.

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)

This indicates that invalid system memory was referenced.

Bug control 0 x 50 usually occurs after the installation of a faulty hardware or installation failure of material (usually associated with defective RAM, either main memory, L2 RAM or RAM video cache).

Another common cause is a defective system service installation.

Antivirus software can also trigger this error, as can a corrupted NTFS volume.

    -----------------

1 Intel Extreme Tuning Utility - Office control - uninstall as soon as possible.

2 make sure you have the latest video card drivers. If you are already on the latest graphics card drivers, uninstall and install a version or a few versions behind the last to make sure this isn't a last number one driver. If you have already experienced with the driver of the card later and earlier versions, please try the driver beta for your card.

    3. If you're still crashing after what above, run Memtest for NOT LESS than 8 ~ (several hours):

    Memtest86 +:

    Download Memtest86 + here:

    http://www.memtest.org/

    Which should I download?

You can either download the ISO pre-built you want to burn to a CD and then boot from the CD, or you can download the automatic installer of the USB. What this will do is format your USB drive, make a boot device and then install the necessary files. Both do the same job, it's just you that you choose, or you have available (be it CD or USB).

    How Memtest works:

Memtest86 writes a series of test patterns for most of the addresses of memory, reads the written data and compares it to find errors.

The default pass is 9 different tests, varying in the modes of access and test data. A tenth test, bland, is selectable in the menu. He wrote all the memory with zeros, then sleeps 90 minutes before checking to see if the bits have changed (perhaps because of refresh problems). This is repeated with all those for a total time of 3 hours by pass.

Many chipsets can report RAM speed and timings by SPD (Serial Presence Detect) or EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles), and some even support changing the expected memory speed. If the expected memory speed is overclockee, Memtest86 can test that memory is free of error with these faster settings.

Some hardware is able to report the status of the "PAT" (PAT: active or PAT: disabled). This is a reference to the Intel performance acceleration technology; There may be the BIOS settings that affect this aspect of memory synchronization.

This information, if it is available for the program, can be displayed via a menu option.

Other questions, they can most likely be answered by reading this excellent guide here:

  • I have a virus protection, secure, said complete analysis but I still get random blue screens and computer freezing or cutting

I have Microsoft Security Essentials and am pretty sure that I have downloaded all the tools provide it free. However, my computer will randomly do the blue screen once in awhile or close on its own without no reason.

    What should I do?

Microsoft Security Essentials is a security software. It does not solve the problems with the operating system that leads to a failure of the operating system (blue screen) which can be caused by many things.

I'm moving your question to the forum of Windows system repair section, but you will need to provide much more detail so that everyone to not even start you help.

  • Error on blue screen and missing or invalid or component file causing Windows crash.

Original title: missing or invalid files or components.

Missing or not valid file or item causing windows/internet to freeze and crash. A BSOD (blue screen) shows a second and the computer restarts back on the desktop with no other problems. This happens only when I open/close a video too fast or I use some (L100 - 30 Hercules) aircraft in FS9. All other devices work fine. I sent an error report to Microsoft tonight when this happened. It conrcerned 2 files in C:\ Docs & Setting\All Users\Application data\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Projects\System Index\System... (couldn't do the rest, but we had to do with the XML extension..) I am using Windows XP Pro with Service pack 3 and all updates.

Is there a simple solution for this? I don't want to reinstall XP if I don't have, as my drive my being corrupt. I'm not sure. I also used some older programs that I have used for years that run fine on XP but will not work in Windows 7 even with Virtual XP Mode installed.

    Hello Joel S

I had already tried this and it was not a hardware failure. I ran chkdsk and the player revealed a good with no bad sectors. I also use Belarc COMPUTER management systems that manages the health of smart HDs (HDs most have this 'Intelligent' ability). The problem was some legacy software that I thought that I had taken when I did a removal of the program. He left 5 pieces of something that is called «online...» "I found it using Malwarebytes, and he was buried deep in the registry. The program was "Cliffs of Dover" a stream online to run the program. Once you have downloaded the game was the only way to use it online, which took 20-30 minutes to load and once loaded would break your system if you have tried to play. Shame, it's a beautiful CFS, but way to buggy.

In any case, removed from the basket with Malwarebytes and every thing works fine. No more accidents.

    Derek

So I bought a new Lenovo E560 brand and I've had it for about 2 weeks now. A few times he just hangs and restarts, and sometimes I get a blue screen. This happens like once a day and it's very annoying! What is the cause for this? Also I got 2-3 firsts bluescreens that I tried to download the new drivers AMD.

Okey, so if people have the same error and want to fix it, all you should do is to reinstall windows to remove the Malware Lenovo. After a lot of research people told me to try this solution, because it worked for them.

    Hello

    ·          When the issue started?

    ·          Were there any changes made to your computer before this problem?

The BCCode 50 usually occurs after the installation of the installation of a faulty material or failure of material (usually associated with defective RAM, either main memory, L2 RAM or RAM video cache).
I suggest that you follow the steps below.
    Method 1:
I would say you diagnose and check if the problem is with the faulty RAM. Follow the steps in the article below
Run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-Vista

    Method 2:

It could also be caused by your card graph and other hardware devices. I suggest that you keep your drivers up to date.

    Method 3:
Start your server in the boot advanced options, and then select " last known good Configuration".

  • Laptop guard crashing and showed a blue screen and restarts... :/

Hello, my laptop is running win7 and while using it, it was make a blue screen saying out of memory error or something like that and then restarting itself... to come and also he has been doing all these messages in error and programs are not loading sometimes... can someone please help me?

    Hello Mr.Fooh,

Thanks for the return of the answer!  To disable automatic reboot, this will prevent her to stop and I hope you will see messages or error codes.

Regarding the response of Vinod N, you have attemtempted to try the method above 2?  There are several steps to try and would like to know the status.   I would try to start your computer in Mode safe mode to see if you encounter the same problems.
