• Wireless & padlock device name change?

  WHAT is happening with my Sony blu - ray?

  Months my Sony BDP-S570/BX57 works perfectly with my Sony Bravia.

  But all of a sudden I can't connect with the blu - ray wireless and the name of the device has changed and has been locked. Also, I can't find information on my problem.

  For some reason my linksys connection now now appears with a padlock and a new name. Instead of just being linksys, it now says linksys SES 26790 and there is a padlock included. I have not installed any security on my router or modem. What is going on?

  When I try to connect it asks for a security key. I have NO IDEA what the security key is... is this a code? It is located anywhere on my computer?

  I'm on a Macintosh under Snow Leopard. I noticed that all the help files in the Sony help links are ONLY for Windows systems! It is a shameful failure of Sony to recognize that there are even Macintosh users.

  Well in case anyone else has this problem, I can say that I have contacted Sony support. They have not the slightest idea basically. I also told them that since their help online site has no instructions from my router and the Mac OS, they should add a. Seeing that there are more devices than any other OS Mac Wireless, I don't know why this is.

  But as for my problem, I tried a lot of different things. Finally, I unplugged the TV Sony and the Blu - ray. That seemed to work. Laughing out loud!

• Changing Z10 blackBerry device name gets the error message

  Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place for newspaper bug?  I don't see any bug report feature on z10 device similar to the older versions of the operating system, I have to raise this issue here.

  I went in my device settings - 'About' to change the name of devcie for a description more usability.  The default when registering on Rogers was 'BLACKBERRY - 54 A 8' for my device.

  I tried to change 'Mike z10' and after an attempt to save, I get the following error "device name not valid - have chosen you an invalid name.  A devcie name must be alphanumeric and may contain '-'and'.', but not as the characters of the first or the last and '.' can only be used as part of a complete domain name. "

  I don't think I'm violates all the above statement, however, it doesn't let me save?  I think this could be a bug?

  I have a machine to 2008R2 who is discovered with OMSA and iDRAC.  In the application logs I see ' change device name was detected based on MAC address xxxxxxx old name: xxxxxxx, new name: xxxxx "the old name is the host of the OMSA DNS entry and the new name is the DNS entry for the iDRAC.

  OME is getting confused?

  If it is not recommended to discover with OMSA and iDRAC for same host?

  The message that you see in the newspapers is to name DNS change in the database. If you notice the tree view of the devices, would not have changed the name of the device in the devices tree. Is this correct?

  When you connect to FaceTime or Messages on another device, another peripheral other device using this same ID will get the message that has been signed to. Some iOS (and OSX) update log for other devices will get the message when that happens.

However, you can cancel and change the host name using the terminal (sudo scutil - set HostName mynewhostname.local). Deauthorize the unit on the Adobe site and reauthorize and it will appear as you wish. In this way, you can have the machine listed on the Adobe site, but you want rather than domain name. This is useful if you have a long list of machines and want to adjust their hostnames to their room number or location, etc.

  The PC had been link with some Virtuabench, and it remember its device name even if it had not been connetced. This causes the tech lab get confused and often choose the wrong device. Somethimes the Virtualbench had already been hook upward with testing circult. This will result to return the Virtualbench to verify nom_peripherique is not possible.

  Is there a way to remove the unwanted peripheral VirtualBench in the list?

• Get custom device name of in Sub VI

  Hi all

  I write an error handler that creates log files for any errors and warnings that are generated in a custom device fault.  One of the pieces of information that I would like to include in the file is the name of the custom device the error handler is incorporated in (because I run multiple devices customized in the same project).  I tried various classes of property and refnums different nodes, but I was not able to find something that works.  Is the closest I got to get the name of the VI incorporated in my error handler.  It is of course very little use because of custom device file naming structure are always the same, (the error handler is still in the RT pilot VI).

  If anyone has a method to get the name of the Custom device of in a Sub VI of the custom device, your advice would be greatly appreciated.
