• Z3 device name change

  Hello

  I want to change my name to my Xpeira Z3 Compact unit.

  I mean the name that appears when I look with another device to find my Bluetooth, WiFi-connection or my hot spot.

  For now, I get a technical like name: "Xpeira Z3 Compact_b325"I like to change it in a name that specifically makes me find my device.

  For example, as "Z3_ [MyName] _007".

  Other Android Smartphones have this somewhere in the settings of the device, but I could not find in my new Z3 Compact.

  I suggest you go through the below methods:

  Method 1: Try to run the printer Troubleshooter:

• Changing Z10 blackBerry device name gets the error message

  Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place for newspaper bug?  I don't see any bug report feature on z10 device similar to the older versions of the operating system, I have to raise this issue here.

  I went in my device settings - 'About' to change the name of devcie for a description more usability.  The default when registering on Rogers was 'BLACKBERRY - 54 A 8' for my device.

  I tried to change 'Mike z10' and after an attempt to save, I get the following error "device name not valid - have chosen you an invalid name.  A devcie name must be alphanumeric and may contain '-'and'.', but not as the characters of the first or the last and '.' can only be used as part of a complete domain name. "

  I don't think I'm violates all the above statement, however, it doesn't let me save?  I think this could be a bug?

  May be a suggestion to the State in the error message that the name must not include space because it does not currently.

  I have a machine to 2008R2 who is discovered with OMSA and iDRAC.  In the application logs I see ' change device name was detected based on MAC address xxxxxxx old name: xxxxxxx, new name: xxxxx "the old name is the host of the OMSA DNS entry and the new name is the DNS entry for the iDRAC.

  OME is getting confused?

  If it is not recommended to discover with OMSA and iDRAC for same host?

  The message that you see in the newspapers is to name DNS change in the database. If you notice the tree view of the devices, would not have changed the name of the device in the devices tree. Is this correct?

  For cases, when the server is inaccessible, there is no way that OME is unable to make a name for this resolution and if the DNS name of the device goes into the database and it takes the name DNS iDRAC. Newspapers are for all changes that occur in the database.

  When you connect to FaceTime or Messages on another device, another peripheral other device using this same ID will get the message that has been signed to. Some iOS (and OSX) update log for other devices will get the message when that happens.

  I put t know what that card WLan you have but you should try to reinstall the WLan driver.
  Go to Device Manager and check first your WLan card.
  Then download the page of European Toshiba driver WLan driver.
  Then delete or uninstall the old drivers WLan (Device Manager) and install the new downloaded drivers.

  Reboot the laptop, and then enable the wireless using the antenna WLan switch and the combination FN + F8.

  I am trying to run the Labwindows 2009 SP1 code on a PC based office while trying to exploit the GPIB instruments

  on another part of the network.

  Normally, this isn't problem with VISA server on the target computer and the use of names of Alias VISA within the

  Office PC code.

  But this code was inherited and uses a different method which has been the best over time.

  The code uses device name strings that have been defined using the GPIB utility: GpibConfig.exe,.

  on the target computer. So when a device is first initialized, the name defined in the GPIB utility is used

  by the code and the associate instrument access are reached. It works fine when the code and

  the instruments are located on the same PC.

  My question: is there some way I can use VISA access server remote GPIB instruments help

      I have a problem with my HP Photosmart 7520 printer where all wireless network devices will lose connectivity after a printer has been sent to the printer.

  Wireless network unusable after sending one print to HP printer
  No device ( computers nor smartphones ) can use the Internet nor access internal networks ( 192.168.0/24)

  Turn HP printer on.  ( wireless direct is off - never turned on )
  HP printer connects to working wireless network.
  Other devices ( phone/computers ) already connected and working.
  From any device, send a document to the printer.
  Printer prints document successfully.
  Immediately after printer has printed all devices cannot access internet IP range ( including HP printer ) nor Internet nor router ( 198.168.0.1 ).

  These settings are to set up your printer wireless (or wired):

  • Stay connected to your router
  • Trouble printer status 'offline '.

  While the DHCP is convenient, devices like printers (wired and wireless) should always be assigned a (fixed) IP address manually to avoid conflicts on your wireless network and must be outside the range of the router DHCP.  After the adjustment of the static IP address the computer must be updated to show a Standard TCP/IP port with the IP address of printers under printer properties/Ports.

  I have two PCs connected wireless. A laptop (Vista Business) was the drives mapped to actions on the other PC (XP). Whenever the Vista PC is started or out of hibernation, or after only a short period of time these discs are not available.   If I click on 'Network' within Solution Explorer, the XP PC is not visible. The only way that I can "reconnect" these disks is to go into my anti-virus (Trend) and open the network map. This shows the XP PC and then the shares are available through Explorer - XP PC is still not visible by clicking network however.

  It started only happens in the last two months - cannot locate exactly when, but quite recently. I use connections to store small files and backup critical files a few before nailing the laptop away and it is quite annoying to have to go through this routine every time.

  Any ideas?

  Just in case it helps others - I found that if I make sure that my XP PC has a fixed IP address, and then set up the shares so that they are defined using the IP address and not share names, then I do have more problems - seems like it's something to do with Windows solve the share names rather than something to do with the personal firewall after all.

  Phone is a Samsung SGH-A412.   PC using Vista.  I go to the Control Panel, Bluetooth, add wireless device, and then try to type the device name, but nothing happens. Tried to add a device, get a smaller screen with name & device Cat...  Same thing, nothing happens, tried after clicking the name & device Catagory also. Phone search but can't find PC.

  So, thought of it by myself. It seems that the serializer Adobe uses the local hostname to Mac. You can find that by going to the terminal and type "hostname". The host name gets initially fixed by any domain name that is assigned to the intellectual property. If neither is the case, it uses the share name in the sharing preferences pane. However, you can cancel and change the host name using the terminal (sudo scutil - set HostName mynewhostname.local). Deauthorize the unit on the Adobe site and reauthorize and it will appear as you wish. In this way, you can have the machine listed on the Adobe site, but you want rather than domain name. This is useful if you have a long list of machines and want to adjust their hostnames to their room number or location, etc.
