ZIP DRIVE - invalid picture

Original title: ZIP DRIVE

I saved the data within a program.   Data went in my zip drive and are now on my USB key.  I want to display the data and copy something.  When I tried to display information of the flash player, it tells me that it is an invalid image.   How to view and work with data?  Assistance requested.

Hello

· What application did you use to back up data?

· Is that what the file is compressed on the flash drive?

· What is the format of the file?

· What is you receive the exact error message?

You may need to extract all the files and then view or the particular copy of the same.

  • Iomega Zip Drive old (PC) for Mac SCSI drives

I came across my old Iomega Zip 100 Drive I used with my PC in 1999.  It is a SCSI drive.  I'm all about Apple and Mac during the past 10 years or so.  I have access to a Windows computer with, I think, Windows 98 on it. Is it possible to get pictures off the Zip disks?  I don't want to get a SCSI to USB cable and the ruin of my Mac. The Mac would even read the saved files.  No, I don't know how I saved them.  I just pictures on disks.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Are you sure it's a SCSI disk (it's relatively rare to find SCSI on a PC)? There was an external parallel version of the Zip 100 drive. The connectors are DB - 25 for both versions, but the SCSI model has a special icon of SCSI ID and termination switches. The Iomega cables parallel and SCSI had different colors. Do not confuse the models. Do not plug in a parallel to a SCSI port, or vice versa.

In any case, if the Zip drive in question in fact can be successfully connected to the Windows PC (98), you should be able to read the discs, Zip it. There are a few methods that can be used for a transfer to a modern Mac. Is - that computer has Ethernet?

What exact model of Mac is this? You have access to a USB floppy drive (which can be connected to a Mac)?

It would also be possible to locate a Zip USB drive that could be linked to a modern computer. It would be a matter of moving the Zip disks only.

  • Print photos of zip drive

I had to download pictures from an email sent to me for a zip drive.  How do I print them. I have Vista Premium.

I'm a newbie to that I don't know what a zip drive.  I received a few recorded on my email that says to download to zip drive and I hit the download instructions so I think they are on my computer.  Is a zip drive an outdoor room that is inserted into the computer?  I could print my pictures directly from e-mail on my printer but I wanted to know about the function of a zip drive, and if it's something I have to buy.  I really appreciate the answer to my original question.

    =========================================
The suggestion to copy on a Zip disk is not necessary in
this instance and only confuses the issue. (media
in a Zip drive is basically a big floppy and my humble opinion are
    obsolete) see link for example:

    Zip drive

I can only imagine that they are referring to a USB Flash drive.
See the link for an example.

    Kingston Flash drive

Flash drives are ideal for transferring files from one
computer to another but are not recommended for long
    time backup storage.

To save pictures to a hard drive folder email...
try selecting the email containing the pictures and go to...
    File / save attachments.

If you want to save your photos and other personal files
on external media, consider purchasing an external
    hard drive.

  • Satellite M60: Need a parallel port to connect the Iomega Zip drive

    Hi guys,.

I have a Satellite M60 and I want to transfer files from my Iomega Zip drive.
My laptop is not has a paraller port, so I bought a converter to operate, but there was no result.

Is anyone of you know how to solve the problem and finally reach my driver ZIP of my Satellite in order to transfer files?
    Do I need another converter?

If so, when is? Or do I have to buy a PCI card with paraller port?

    Any response will be appraciated

    thanx

    Hello

I've never used a converter USB / parallel but a USB-to-serial port converter and I had very bad experience of such pieces of witch.
AFAIK this adapters don't work properly.

Therefore, your suggestion is not bad to use the PCMCIA card with a parallel port.

Check first of all in your user manual what cards are compatible, then you can try to use this card.

I think it would be the best solution to connect your Iomega Zip drive to the M60 laptop.

I've recently updated some drivers on my computer and I would like to know if it is safe to delete these zip files once the drivers have actually been installed. There are also some that are just files in the same folder of update that are not compressed.

  • Upgrade laptop XP on the new home network. Shared for laptop drives. Now computer laptop poster not the zip drives that I plug into the USB ports.

I have a xp desktop machine, an external hard drive, computer laptop xp and a computer laptop win7 on a network home via my Lynksys wireless router.  My friend attached external desktop.  Then shared these discs on the network.  He shared them as drives E and F.  I can access these drives very well.  The problem is that on the computer laptop xp now when I click on my computer if there is no zip drives or anything else connected to the computer laptop USB ports it does not show them.  If I go into Device Manager, it shows the mass storage device connected here.

Another thing.  If external that are shared and the desktop machine is turned off the coast, I can click the icon to the desktop and it displays the zip drive, that I plugged.  It's like I need to rename or remap something?

    Hi crazypainter,

When you plugin your USB device, just follow the following process:

Rigth click my computer-> manage-> disk management.

You will find your hard drive, cd and USB dirve listed player, you can do a right click on the drive letter and click on modify.

  • 481 invalid picture

Hello everyone and thanks for the help

OK, I have the same problem 12 different times where I virtualize the same program.  Whenever I try to run virtualized program, I always get the message "481 invalid picture" and I was wondering if anyone knows what it means and if so, how to fix?

    Thank you

    Fuzzanator

    Hi Fuzzanator

It is difficult to say something like that about the question facing you. As I understand it when you launch the app, you get an error saying "481 invalid picture", and to understand the reason behind this can you if please generate ThinApp Log Monitor trace files and download them so that I can take a look. To generate the log files:

    -clean the sandbox,

-launch the ThinApp Log Monitor utility,

-Launch your application and that the error occurs

-kill the app and download trace files generated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

To retrieve the output generated by the reports, you must use a URL like:

    : http://application-tier server: port/reports/rwservlet/getjobidxxxx & Server = repservername

    where:

-xxxx is the jobid returned by RUN_REPORT_OBJECT
-repservername is the name of the report server

The following steps may be worth a try:

Insert your memory card into your Media Player...

Close all windows that can be opened...

    Reach... Start / computer...

What is the memory card show as a drive letter? (if your Media Player)
has several slots, there will be several removable disks listed... the
SD card will be one of them)

If_Yes_right click on the drive letter correct and in the menu... Choose...
Explore... now you should see the directory of the memory card.

From there you should be able to drag and drop or copy and paste the
files in a folder on your hard drive.

  • DPS: Invalid picture

    Hey there.

Today, I wanted to update an app built with DPS. Everything went well, but after downloading the binary file, I got more mail:

    Dear developer,

We found one or more problems with the delivery of your recent "XXXXXX". To process your order, the following questions must be addressed:

Invalid image - for iOS, icons in the binary presentation applications should be in PNG format.

-If your application supports the iPhone device family, you must include a square exactly 57 x 57 pixels icon.

-If your application supports the iPad device family, you must include a square icon to exactly 72 x 72 pixels.

For Mac OS X applications, icons in the binary presentation must be in the NCIS format and must include a picture of 512x512@2x square.

Once these issues have been fixed, go on the release Details page, then click on "Ready to Upload binary." Continue through the submission process until the status of the app is "Waiting for Upload. You can then deliver the binary has been fixed.

    Kind regards

    The App Store team

I also recorded again of all the icons (PNG, save for web, not interlaced, not convert to sRGB), but still got the same message.

    What can I do?

DPS App Builder tells me, that all the images are very well...

    Thank you very much

    Chris

I don't know why, but today I downloaded the SAME binary as yesterday and now it works very well Oo.

It is not really a correct answer, but everyone with this problem should try a few hours a day later.

  • IomegaWare Zip 100 drive unit not recognized by the computer of Windows 8

Help, please. I bought a zip 100 Iomega drive to retrieve ONLY data (files/photos) from a pile of old zip disks. My laptop Lenovo (windows 8) nor my HP desktop computer (windows 7) recognize the zip drive external usb.  Are there compatible drivers anywhere? I spent hours online, trying to check or correct the incompatibility issues, but also obsolete driver problems without success. The disc provided for installing out-of-date drivers. I am not a technician. Any help would be useful. I have an external hard drive functional, functional. I just want to get the data off the old 100 iomega zip disks.  I don't plan to do anything else with the zips or zip drive. And Yes, I should have done this earlier, but like many busy people know, sometimes time can get the better of you. The loss of these data would at best heartbroken as the discs containing pictures and original, irreplaceable data.

You may be able to install a driver that is inherited in compatibility mode.  Get the latest driver that has HP and install it like this compatibility mode

To install in compatibility mode do the following:

Click with the right button on the installer > properties > compatibility > choose OS

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows?SignedIn=1

Probably yes, but just wonder how to connect ZIP drive to your iMac.

  • WinXP Pro think my IDE/ATAPI Zip 100 Drive is a SCSI device and does not read disks.

Zip Drive 100 a () works fine in my old computer with Windows XP and my new computer P4 (Core 2 Duo) the analysis of the Bios boot correctly sees as an IDE/ATAPI drive, but the Device Manager Windows XP Pro says it's a SCSI device.  Tried several zip disks that work very well old computer.  Also noticed that the computer WinXP Pro says the disc have a RAW format file system when I click Properties of the drive in 'My computer', but the disks are formatted with the FAT of another computer file system. When I try to read the disc, WinXP Pro says that they aren't formatted - I want to get in shape, so I tried to format a and she failed.

    (1) problem RAW file system: CPU OS WIN XP D: drive is IDE/ATAPI ZIP - 100. C:HDD E:DVD F: CD-ROM. A ZIP disk would not format of older CPU. Also at the DOS prompt displayed ZIP disk saves but XP files don't display anything without files or diskThe drive was not recognized by XP because of the type of file in RAW format. COULD NOT read or format. Similar to your problem

To solve: KICKED CPU with the WIN ME & WIN ME CD startup disk. Backpack prompt type A: B: the ZIPPER was displayed. Then Typ B: format b: enter & reformatted in the ZIP in the BACK. Typed in the label to check the format. Rebooted FDD & CD removed & CPU disc. In XP my computer now recognizes the D: drive with a ZIP disk. The file system has changed from RAW to FAT. Correction of a problem

    (2) your problem: IDE/ATAPI ZIP - 100 HDD not found in XP operating system but as seen in the BIOS.

To fix: check hardware configuration. ZIP drive must be jumped as a slave in the Middle connection on the water with your hard disk (HDD) cable. ZIP - 100 should show that D: & Hard drive show as C: make sure that the ribbon cable is attached properly - PIN 1 for the two discs in PIN 1 of the cable. Also, ZIP supply sheets must be connected correctly.

Hope the above will solve the two problems of ZIP - 100 drive your.
