• Redone A surface the DNS changer?

  My router has apparently been infected with a DNS changer.  Two MacBook Pro, it is now locked effectively on the internet.  The DNS starts OK, with a DNS 10.0.1.1, but after about 30 seconds, it is replaced by two numbers - 85.255.116.164 and 85.255.112.81.  Once that happens I can not connect.  I've recently updated to Yosemite to Mavericks, and when I locked up.  Yosemite may be blocking the connection?  The MBP I'm using to write this is a similar model, but a more recent purchase.  It came with Yosemite and it has no problem to reach my router, or DNS changes.

  How can I handle this?  I can't stay online long enough to download a malware cleaning program.

• Windows SBS 2011 see workstation offline after DNS changer Malware

  So I do a job in an office job for a severely infected by malicious software, and after cleaning today, I noticed that he had been infected by a virus change of DNS. I ran across the computer 4 times (Safe Mode 2, 2 Reg Boot) with Malwarebytes and Roguekiller to make sure the infection is gone. After disinfection completely the computer it works much better, in fact the only problem, is that the AV Corp. we use normally on all our computers can not reinstall it from our server, now when checking the server for the PC from the management console, the server displays it as in offline mode. However the PC can access everything on the server and can even connect remotely, and are under the IPv4 DNS info is correct. I did a flush DNS and registry changes just to make sure and still nothing. Reaching out to the community to see if someone has experienced this problem or has an idea of what needs to be done.

• Unable to connect to the console of the virtual computer after dns change

  I finished just change of my VM and VC servers esx hosts to use the new dns servers. In addition the area changed as follows

  from vm1.subdom1.xxx.com to vm1.subdom2.xxx.com the esx hosts and vCenter server all underwent this change at the same time although ip addresses have remained the same.

  In vCenter but I do not see "cannot connect to MKS: address for server vm1subdom1.xxx.com host lookup failed: no host is unknown.»

  If I log into the esx vSphere Client with server can't connect to the console where I can say vCenter to use the new name of the virtual machine instead of the old host? I can ping and resolve the vm from the vCenter server and RDP to DNS so it works but vCenter is still going to the old address.

  To access the Console of the virtual machines... the vCenter does not really rely on the DNS config. It communicates only through ports 902/903

• Change DNS IP addresses on the ESX host server

  Hello

  I need to change the IP address of my Windows DNS servers on the my ESX hosts. I know I can do this through the vsphere client, but that requires a reboot of the servers. Is there a way I can do this via ssh by changing a file that will not cause a restart of the host? If so, please describe how to do this.

  Also, if the host is restarted, what will happen in the virtual machine of in the interval until the host is upward? It will cause the virtual machine to restart as well, or so I have to restart their after that the host is back? I also disabled HA until I did the DNS changes.

  I use 2011 27 "mac desktop. Recently, my developer changed my Web site and the server and my machine keeps using old sites DNS. My developer was blocked and asked me to give my DNS connection with this command.

  Well, if you have emptied your cache a bazillion times, then the most likely cause is that servers DNS, you reference don't have either not acquired the DNS update-DNS servers cache also the translations, and it can take up to the value of life (TTL, Time To Live) to propagate, or the DNS update has not been correctly and so spreading to all.

  Most people doing a cut-over site will fix the low TTL value in the day or two, leading to the cut-over to avoid this problem, if I guessed correctly about the cause of the problem.

  If your web server is named server.example.com, then the following command line commands will show what the translation is for your local cache and - if the cache was emptied - your local DNS servers have the IP address of your server, and the second command will show what Google's DNS (8.8.8.8) servers have the same translation.

  Dig + short server.example.com

  dig + short @8.8.8.8 server.example.com

  Google's DNS servers tend to capture the DNS changes fairly quickly, while some devices of bridge - those that caches the translations - and various ISP DNS servers could not or will not pick up the translation for a day or two. until the TTL expires.

  As a temporary workaround - and assuming that the Google DNS servers return to the new IP address - you can temporarily set your DNS server address (System preferences > network > select your network > advanced > DNS > 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) for a day or two. until your local caches to catch up.   Don't forget to remove these settings and to return to your DNS-DHCP-set server settings.

  I have a XP SP3 workstation I need to assign a static IP address.  Our network has a domain with 2 DNS servers.   I entered the necessary information for the IP address, subnet mask, gateway by default and DNS on the XP machine, then rebooted.  After that, I have no internet access and get the error event 1053 and 15 in the application log.  I checked the properties of TCP and DNS fields are empty (I'm positive, I put them properly and have retried it a dozen times).  If I set the NIC in DHCP, it works fine and no error is generated.  I tried using "netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt" TCP reset but still not the same error.  This is a new installation, so I know there is not no virus or malware, the origin of the problem.  I was going to try to replace the NETWORK card, but the system is a small form factor box so I have to buy one and wanted to make sure that could solve the problem before the $.

  Tried that too... no dice... I found the cause and solved the problem.  Our network is running Symantec Endpoint Protection antivirus/malware protection.  There is a feature in version 12.1 called Sonar that protects against network intrusions.  Politics on the affected workstation has been configured to block changes DNS... where the DNS settings Virgin when I tried to set them manually.  I have changed the policy to allow DNS changes, entered the IP subnet gateway and DNS, restarted, and... It's working now!  Thank you O of Cameron and PML for your help.

  I have a machine to 2008R2 who is discovered with OMSA and iDRAC.  In the application logs I see ' change device name was detected based on MAC address xxxxxxx old name: xxxxxxx, new name: xxxxx "the old name is the host of the OMSA DNS entry and the new name is the DNS entry for the iDRAC.

  OME is getting confused?

  If it is not recommended to discover with OMSA and iDRAC for same host?

  Hi Harris,

  The message that you see in the newspapers is to name DNS change in the database. If you notice the tree view of the devices, would not have changed the name of the device in the devices tree. Is this correct?

  For cases, when the server is inaccessible, there is no way that OME is unable to make a name for this resolution and if the DNS name of the device goes into the database and it takes the name DNS iDRAC. Newspapers are for all changes that occur in the database.

  You can certainly discover iDRAC and server set and correlation between server and RAC should arrive in the tree view of the devices with the name of the specified server.

  I think it started acting weird it's because last night, I unplugged the TC of the socket directly instead of turn off... This could be the problem.

  This is what, in my view, that the solution could be:

  (2) open Airport utility

  File 3)--> set up

  It is not so rosy, as you described!

  I can write in folders on Time Capsule, I use internet, but the utility does not see the drives, printer and Time Machine is no more support for MacBook...

  The only reason for this behavior is dynamic DNS change the LAN iP addresses... after the router has been reset by the network provider.

• Work around for server not found problems on FF36

  I found a work around for all people with server not found problems with FF36.

  If you manually set your DNS network adapter to an external DNS server (as opposed to your local ISP) then the problem disappears. I set mine to use the google DNS servers:

   Preferred: 8.8.8.8
   Alternate: 8.8.4.4
  

  No idea why this works, but it is 100% success on my desktop PC, whereas before I could not connect to a Web page with FF36 without updating the multiple page and a lot of frustration, although FF35 was fine and back to FF35 turnover was as beautiful.

  Something has changed in FF36 and how it manages the DNS or the mode of operation with certain network cards.

  There is nothing to do with the Add - ons, profiles or software firewall as I tried all these things and that the DNS change makes a difference. I even copied on a full profile and directory of program files to work for Mozilla on my laptop which saw no problem and the problem still exists on the desktop, which is why I started watching the network adapater since everything between the working PC and no work was identical.

  I hope that this will help the developers to identify the real cause of the problem and fix it in the next version.

  AG - your problem looks different you had FF36 work.

  Considering that the problem of many of us that when we spend FF35 in FF36 we get a lot of server is found errors when you try to load Web pages.

  Sometimes they load and then they stop loading and then if you click Refresh a lot that they sometimes then charge again, or you have to wait a minute or two and then they load.
