  • 550-215na Pavilion: no sound from the rear audio input jack

    Hello

I recently bought a new PC and I immediately ran into an audio problem that I can't understand. I get no sound at all from the rear audio input jack. I'm getting sound before making, and the plug rear mic works. When I plug something into the rear socket, a message appears grateful that there is something. When I checked the sound settings while it is plugged into the rear outlet, the equalizer is moving, which indicates that he gets his. But nothing comes out when I plug headphones or speakers in. I can exclude a fault with the speakers and the headphones, because they work very well to come forward. All the drivers are up to date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there @PrimoFigs,

I hope you find your experience of positive Support Forum! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you get no sound from your speakers when connected to the rear audio ports. I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

Have you tried to connect another device to this port, whether it of a different set of speakers or earphones, headphones just to test if one of them works?

What it is connected to the front port at the same time? If so, then disconnect this device and try again the rear port and let me know if there is a change.

Also try this: desktop HP-no sound on speakers (Windows 8).

Please let me know if any of the work of tip for you suggestions and if we don't solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • EliteBook 840 G2: Component line software plug-in to an input jack audio combo?

my laptop has an input jack audio combo and I want to use my laptop's built-in speakers to listen to any devices playing external music (like the smartphone, player or turntables, cassette etc.)

the built-in speakers are functioning normally when anything connected to this plug. (the built-in microphone works normally and the built-in speakers are functioning normally.)

There is no problem as well when I connect headphones combo of my mobile phone + microphone with connector PLUG device (line 3/4 pin 3.5 mm male) to this Jack, and I can use in videoconferencing and. This means that when I connect it to taking combo on my laptop, the audio output only made this listener combo + micro, no built-in speakers, and audio input only comes from this listener combo + mic peripheral, not from the built-in microphone.

But, when I connect an external audio source to this Jack with a TRS connector (line 2/3 pin 3.5 mm male), it is still detected by the Control Panel audio DTS PHYSICALLY (there is a message in the lower right of the task bar button) but not detected by the recording of the Panel tab

    Hello

You cannot use it in the form online and in many cases, it does support a microphone stand alone, you can use headsets whose microphone + headphones.

Use something different? I have read there are some cards, but you are right, that the v4 of the Apple TV doesn't have an optical port.

  • Challenges of the audio input jack (seems not work)

    Hello

    I use an HP Envy 15-j030eb, running Windows 8.1 x 64.

Recently, I need to use my laptop audio input jack to connect my speakers, but I don't get all the sounds. I tried to connect two different types of headphones, with no audio to come through. I don't remember really when I finally used, but I'm sure it worked at some point.

Otherwise it is inserted into the Jack, I get his normal good through the internal speakers, connect a TV via HDMI also works very well.

I tried most of the solutions I could find online (definition of default playback device, change the bass and treble levels, do a hard reset, reinstall the drivers...), but nothing helped. Start Notepad from a live USB Ubuntu USB also translates the same behavior; play music while my works of great internal speakers connection helmet muffles all. This leads me to believe that it is not a Windows/driver issue, but a bios/firmware/hardware one.

Run HP (from usb boot) and the test of speaker adio also doesn't send audio signal to my helmet and gives a failure code: gll3kv-6nm782-mfgjxg-20ek03. I could not decypher this identifier.

Any suggestions on how to proceed and get my audio jack working again please?

    Kind regards

    Hi @klmdb

Welcome to the HP Support Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I saw your post about the problems with your audio jack. I looked in that identification code of the failure that you have posted and there is an audio hardware failure which could be a couple of different things, but from what you describe, it's the audio jack that has failed.  The audio jack is not a replaceable part, you will need to seek to replace the motherboard or card mother.

  • All trying to record music on a software, connect the external input jack does not cut its computer system.

    Original title: external recording

While trying to record music on a software, connect the external input jack is

not to cut his computer system.  Thus the external player unit is not recorded by

the continuous computer but the record of construction - micro. With the help of windows 7 on a dell computer

    laptop.

Seems that you can set with precision in the application (whatever it is) where to get sound input or configuration in the audio to enable driver software disabled the internal MIC (manually each time, or automatic if the driver has this feature.)

Basically - you must look in the configuration of your audio device (third-party drivers) and/or the configuration of the 'software' you are trying to use to "save the music".

  • Smartphones connect blackBerry storm to car Audio input jack

My (new) Volvo has an audio input jack, I connected my storm with a standard stereo cable.  I played several songs on my way into work.  At noon, I plugged the storm back to find the storm no longer plays on the audio jack.  It's like the storm audio Jack does not recongize the connection, the songs through the speakers of the storm.  I ran a few tests.  The stereo headset supplied with Storm still works.  The cable and the plug of the car still work with other MP3 device.

Why all of a sudden it does not?

Does anyone else have this problem?

And, Yes, I jumped the battery and restarted.

Another point to add to my list, this phone is driving me crazy!

    It was my cable!

Even if the cable has worked in another device, there be a small difference between the work cable and the non-working.

  • Boston Acoustics BA735 analog input Jack

(I posted a reply in an old thread, but I think that this was not right, so I'm starting a new.)

My low BA735 subwoofer has a digital and an analog input jack. Trying to use these speakers with my Asus Windows 7 laptop, I understand that my laptop requires an analog connection. The only cable that I have never used these speakers was provided (coaxial) digital connector on one end (for the subwoofer) for a green CAR-looking type of the connector at the other end (to my old Gateway computer).
To connect to the analog input on the subwoofer to the headphone jack of my laptop, should what kind of cable I? They are RCA connections at both ends? (I always thought that RCA requires two connectors - red and white, for the stereo, but there is only one socket on the subwoofer and the other on the laptop.) The sound is always stereo? More importantly, this solution should allow stakeholders to work with my laptop, with its analog output only?
    Thank you in advance.

You can use the same green wire (jack 3,5 mm, used with gateway) for the laptop. If the subwoofer is only compatible RCA connector, you must buy a cable 3.5 mm jack connector at one end and RCA on the other connector.

  • Mic input jack problems Inspiron 9300 - can not find a solution on the forum

Help, please. I use my laptop to give daily talks and now the microphone does not work.

Apparently, my mic input jack suddenly developed a problem - from one day to the next without warning. Is there a way to determine if it's hardware related. When you use Skype microphone is not available. When you run the test of the Control Panel, I get a few signals of green activity if I juggle the connector mic, partially from the Jack of the computer. If I plug the mic connector, as it has always worked and is supposed to be, there's no signal activity.

What is the alternative now check and/or repair?

    Thank you.

  • Why can I not get no response from the audio input jack? have you tried 4 different microphones in Final Cut Pro

I have started working on FInal Cut Pro and have discovered that my audio Jack does not recognize any microphone that I plug.  I tried 4 different microphones up to now.   The input Attenuator is turned up 50% and beyond with no effect.   The entry just says "Audio" preferences pane: "Line input" with no other available device.  Am I missing something here?   He is 4 years old and this is the first time I tried audio input.

The line-in input on a Mac requires an entry amplified, not a single entry.

The headphone includes a contact mic. See:

  • iPhone 7 lightning to the questions of the audio input jack

I often connect my phone to listen to music on stereo systems for listening to music out loud. When I used to do with my 6s, I had no problem with the sound output. Since switching to the iPhone 7 that I need to use the adapter to play music, but when I do this the sound is very distorted and sometimes if you put the volume a bit higher up the music stops. Even with a lower volume, it is still quite distorted. When I use a headset with the adapter and plug the phone into my car is fine no problem and sounds. It is only when I play music on the radio.

I talked to Apple support and they were not really able to diagnose the problem or give me a solution.

I was wondering if anyone else has problems with the lightning to the audio jack connector or something similar? and everyone is aware of any other superior quality adapters, you can buy or if there is a fix by apple to do deal with this?

I don't have the problems you describe at all.

To the extent where a 'solution' by Apple, not sure there is any 'broken' to fix.  Anyway, we are users here on this forum, we would have no idea what Apple would do.  Speculation is prohibited by the terms of use of this forum.

  • my headphones (or headsets) does more work when plugged into the audio input jack

I have a 2010 27-in. iMAC.   I am running Yosemite 10.10.5.   Recently I can't get audio on the audio jack that I always used with my helmet.  Have tried the other sons of contact as well as the apple earbuds.  Audio is great internal speakers.

When you plug in your headphones, you see those as an option in preferences-> sound-> release system?

  • Satellite C870 - I damaged the audio input jack - where to get a new?

It seemed to me have damaged the audio jack on my laptop, does anyone know where I can get a replacement for it and advise me if it is easier to replace, or to find someone to replace it for me

I don't very well if you want to be able to get these parts separately m.
To my knowledge, the headphone and microphone are part of the motherboard and are soldered to the motherboard.

However, all compatible parts can be ordered from the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country.

PS: maybe an alternative would be an option for you: a kind of card like USB 2.0 to 3.5 mm Jack Audio / microphone
