10.0 Firefox now creates a new icon on the taskbar of Windows 7 whn launched. Why?

With earlier versions of Firefox on Windows 7, I got 1 icon on the task bar and I would stay at this icon to go to the program. Now, at the launch of Firefox, that it creates an icon on the taskbar and it is confusing, because I'm used to return to the original icon, except that now it opens a new session of Firefox that I don't want. How to return to 1 icon?

After clicking on the favorite taskbar icon and firefox opens a "new Session".
DETACH the old icon and the PIN, then the "New Session" icon.

Then from this point on 1 single icon will appear in the taskbar.

  • Cannot create a new folder in the Explorer of Windows 7

Somehow, I lost the ability to create new folders in the Explorer of Windows 7.  Explorer opens and the button "New folder" is always at the top, but when you click it nothing happens.  Also, when I right click in a directory I don't have the ability to create a new folder.  What happened and how this can be fixed?

You have installed chrome? It's looking like a recent update of chromium may be the cause. Here are two patches.

  • Can you reduce the icons to the taskbar in Windows 7?

I install my programs preferred on a new computer, put it on the taskbar, and it's fill to the top.

I want to make each smaller icon/tile - that is to say, each a little more thin.  In terms of width, it seems that the icon itself occupies about half the space.  I would like to get rid of some of the lost space.

    I already use small icons.

You can use smaller icons. The taskbar right click and choose Properties. Put a check mark in the box next to small icons.

  • How to make the progress bar display in the icon in the taskbar for WIN 7?

How to make the progress bar display in the icon in the taskbar for WIN 7? I see Eclipse Helios can show the loading progress bar in the icon in the taskbar of WINDOWS 7 at startup.

Is not the feature that provides JavaFX, you must write a native connection called technology such as JNI to make specific Windows API call for updating the icon in the taskbar for the application.

Maybe you could go through the Eclipse source code to see how Eclipse and see if you can make use of the same mechanism in your application.

More tips on how you can implement this are outside my area of expertise.

  • Firefox has created a new profile on every launch, despite the change in the profile of the Manager.

I created multiple profiles in Firefox, but no matter how many tutorials, I followed online, it still does it. Also, I can not select the profiles that I created.

One possible cause is a problem with the file profiles.ini.

    • Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
      C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.
    • Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/
    • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox /.

You can use one of them to reuse an existing profile or create a new default profile for Firefox:

    • Remove the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile
    • Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
Use "Choose a folder" when you create a new profile to select the location of a lost profile and recover this profile
  • Double click on the arrow to the left on the tab bar creates a new tab at the end of the right hand.

With Firefox 29.0.1 by double clicking on the arrows on the right in the tab bar or the left creates a new tab at the end of the right hand of the tab bar. It is embarrassing behavior that violates standards around UI design click and double-click. A double-click should extend the behavior of the single click rather than do something completely different (opening a new tab). An example would be, in a Word, a single click selects a Word, double click selects the sentence and a triple click selects the paragraph. Note that this is a separate issue from double click the tab bar itself to create a new tab.

When there are more tabs on the tabs in the window toolbar, that highlight the tabs on the side will not hold show tab in use. I can click on the left and right arrows at the end of the tab bar to scroll the bar in this sense to bring a tab I want to select in the display. I believe that the double click on the arrow to the left would scroll the bar completely to the right, exposing the tab on the left Double click on the right arrow would scroll the bar left entirely exposing the rightmost tab.

It is a logical extension and expected behavior of single click. Single click - scroll once (seems to be the value of the tab in three), double-click on - scroll all the way.

For now, if I want to access the tab on the left, I have to click the arrow slowly and carefully until I get to it. I used only one quick click on the arrow to the left until that shponkah stop scrolling without having to count how many clicks. It is possible that my simple quick clicks were actually double-click. However, the bar tabs would stop scrolling when it reaches the end.

Now, the behavior is really annoying and unexpected. Double click on left dead entirely right tabs completely left arrow and creates a new tab at the end of the right hand. Ditto the arrow right in the opposite direction.

While I can (maybe) see that the value of a double click on the tab bar itself to create a new tab, double click on one of the scroll arrows should show a new tab.

Double click on the arrows of the tab should scroll the tab fully for this purpose bar. If the tab bar is already entirely Scrolls towards ending extra clicks (single, double and triple...) should be ignored.

I like the idea of opening a new tab to the right of the one that has the focus. This should be an option of the contextual right click menu.

That should not occur if you click the scroll buttons in the tab bar.
A double-click should act as page up/down and move a full screen and a triple click should move to the left (first tab) or the right (last) until now tab.

  • Creates a new sequence lost the old 1

Hi I created a new sequence after the installation of a sequence. Although the sequence was not named, I just dropped the footage on the timeline and used this sequence. But now I can't find the sequence, how to find this old sequence?

  • V37.0.2 has the new icon on the toolbar above (it looks like server), how can I remove?

    Hello

I upgraded to v37.0.2 and now the toolbar above (the one with the URL, search inside), the new icon on the top toolbar - extreme right (it looks like server).
    Please see screenshot.

I went to remove it by following my usual method of an editing toolbar
    (1) by clicking on the icon for line 3 horitzontal (settings I think its name)
    (2) then you click Customize
    (3) then drag and drop the unwanted icons out of the toolbar.
But unfortunately the man disappeared when I went in this mode. So couldn't do step 3

In general, if I want to remove something from a toolbar, I do these 3 steps. But it does not work for this new thing.

How can I remove this new thing that I don't want that?

Sorry, I agree that the icon.
A "tooltip" appears when the cursor is positioned on this icon / button?
Or what appears when you click the small arrow to the right of the 'separator '? The menu could tell you what the icon is linked to.

In addition, a list of your installed extensions may be useful to identify what it is.

Do you hear him + icon on the tab bar to open a new tab?

You should be able to slide the button to the right to the left of the list of all the tabs button and if should appear just after the last tab.

You can click on the "Restore default" button to restore default toolbar configuration if this button is not stay in this position.

  • Some sites create a new directory on the hard drive. How to prevent this?

Some web sites such as www.chron.com and www.pddnet.com create a new folder on the hard disk and writing. This is absolutely unacceptable. After each internet session I delete them. It seems that the developers of Firefox would be quite concerned about security not to have allowed this "feature" or at least make the site permission to create the directory. Web sites shouldn't have arbitrary write access. (Linux debian 6.0).

It seems that the video player is the cause. I have a low-speed DSL connection and the video player is put to download the file, so I can watch it later. It didn't occur to me that the sites Web regularly could play movies automatically as they do not appear in time real.

Thank you very much for the help.
