10.1.2 Reader install fails producing code error 1303

Acrobat Reader 9.X has disappeared from my Win 7 system. In the programs installed, it is no longer appeared. Now, when I try to install the latest version of the player as an administrator, I get this error code.

Product: Adobe Reader X (10.1.2) - Error 1303.The installer has sufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Program Files\Common Adobe Acrobat.  The installation cannot continue.  Log on as an administrator or contact your system administrator.

I followed the other suggestions forum and removed c:\Program Files\Common Adobe Acrobat. I set UAC to zero and confirms that the administrator has full security permissions. I also tried to install earlier versions of the player without success.

How can I go about troubleshooting the problem?

Download the http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ Installer and save it to disk, then make a right click on the saved file to install and select run as administrator.

    October 3, 2008, my computer displays after installing the update kb938371. As I understand it, this update is required for some future updates or service packs. I use Vista Ultimate (32-bit) with service pack 1. Recently, I had no choice but to do a full restore of my C drive. Everything works fine after the operation except that I now get the symbol of Windows Update. It wants to install kb938371. I tried to get this installed again (thinking maybe that restoration must have caused this behavior) does not. Update of the victory message: «Windows Update has encountered an unknown error...» Code: 80004005. So then I try to uninstall this update (from the list of installed updates). You choose the update and uninstall confirmation is supposed to appear never does. It won't uninstall the 1 from 10/08. I suppose that if I can't get out, then I won't be able to receive it as a new update. Here is where I'm stuck. How to solve this?

    I am running Windows 7 and I am currently not able to install a bunch of Windows updates, obtaining the credits, "Code 800 b 0100: windows update encountered an unknown error."

    I tried all the suggestions on https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/956702, none has helped.

    I ran Windows troubleshooting and got the error code: 0x800736B1.

    How can I fix? It seems that there is some random internet companies offering downloads that claim to solve the problem, but I don't know if one of them is trustworthy. I would rather solve this problem using products/patches from Microsoft.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I fixed recently updated, unless by a simple change of registration.

    Click Start > run Regedit as administrator > find HKLM\Components > rename the line that reads 'pendingrequired' D_word to "pendingrequired = 1".

    On some PCs, you won't find the HKLM\Components.  The registry entry will be under machine Hkey\local > components

    There are two possible problems:
    The CD/DVD drive laser lens is dirty and cannot properly manage any disk or disks are not entirely compatible.

    Recommend to clean the laser lens with a cotton ball and alcohol tip in most cases its pretty good for cleaning the lens
    Also, try to use other discs of different brands...

    TDK R or R Verbatim discs are good never had no problems using it

  • Updates fail to install with a 620 error code

    For about three months. critical Windows updates do not settle. There are currently 18, half of which are updated for security and the rest is ex officio. I have the protocol defined for Windows inform me and I then install them when it is convenient.  I have used Norton Internet Security and mechanical system to maintain 'health' of my computer for years and have had no problems with either. I tried to install the updates one at a time, starting with the oldest update of security, but it has failed with an error code of the ways of addressing 620 and unknown.  Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution before taking it for a Curmudgeon? My computer is about five years old, so he has hundreds of updates installed in it.  Is it safe to remove all the old updates and start over by installing the latest Service Pack?
