  • Due to the Style battery drain cover Widget

I bought the Style cache for my Z3 Compact. Widget Style of coverage has been installed automatically once the phone has been "twinned" with the lid using the NFC.

In some situations, I do not use cache-Style and strange things begin to happens - I leave the phone for free Style covers 100% and then I realize the phone after disconnecting the charger uses about 1% of the battery per hour. During this time, I don't do anything with the phone, no application, no wifi, no mobile data, no bluetooth signal, without the NFC, is OK. Audit of the use of the battery watch 3 Articles 'Phone idle', 'Screen' and «Style cover Widget»

Why the widget Style cover using all batteries if the Style cache is not used?

I would like to uninstall the widget, but it is not possible (without root that would probably void the warranty). What can I do?

    You can do 2 things:

-Revoke access of notification of coverage of Style: go to settings-> Sound & notification-> Notification access-> uncheck 'Style Cover', this will prevent the cover widget interact with notifications.

    -Disable widget app: go to settings-> Apps-> all-> Style cover Widget-> press «Disable app»

  • Battery drain incredible during the eve logged onto a windows Tablet 8 clovertrail

I do the exasperating experience draining the battery during 'connected' on a windows Tablet 8, Samsung Smart PC 500 T. I bought it 2.5 months ago, the problem has been for more than a month, after a few big OS against MS updates... I tried to diagnose any way I can, but this it it, thank you, not interested by this day before thing all connected, will no longer be a Guinea pig. I want to just turn it off.
-How to disable connected standby mode? Don't tell me 'it is part of the windows experience' blah blah 'experience' is half cooked so far... (to put it very diplomatically). I want to close standby connected, completely - and use the sleep windows 7-style good, old, normal. Is there a service, the registry key, all I can do to disable the standby connected?
Connected standby mode, I've got battery drain with flight mode, no user apps open (anything that can be taken out of service - shutted down), most apps metro removed, only 4 left (metro IE10, Windows Store, music, Photos, S-camera), no nfc, no bluetooth, no usb, no keyboard accessories don't dock, all the stuff from Task Scheduler not only not allowed out the computer , but disabled at all, no auto sync anything in widndows 8 (not sync tiles, tips of user account, no email push in outlook 2013), no auto updates of OS, whatever it is (except for samsung s-implementation to date clean service - weather, it was long before and it has not caused any problems) anytvirus, disabled windows Defender...
Nothing interesting in the event viewer, with which it is related to food filtered logs of the system...
I mean, the man... What the...? ! How to find that something that drains my battery? I was watching cycles cpu (Task Manager and ProcessExplorer) and it is not conclusive, the most programs is OS stuff... some "material interruptions and DMCs, but not nearly enough to cause this brain drain...
I suspect drivers wifi a little... some weird newspapers I saw in the viewer the same... But I won't standby connected . WiFi off. I even checked, I disabled the wifi driver in Device Manager and on the standby battery drain connected yet,
Yes, I updated everywhere. I would even say updated too much em... It works well in advance.
Some powercfg - batteryreport (s) in the links below. Well Yes, played with powercfg /waketimers, power of Device Manager and parameters of wake, powercfg /devicequery wake_armed (everything is turned off, nothing here awhile loong) and powercfg-query. Clean.
On these photos of powercfg - batteryreport, the columns are date/type of activity/lasted for how long/battery drain in %/battery drain in mWH. Which suggests you take a look at the last. That's a record... of 18% in 4 hours battery drain. "Sleeping."
The Tablet is lying on my desk, just sitting there, doing so I have no idea what, and 4 hours more later boom, where all this battery juice went?
! I have a problem with the windows start button, it fires in my bag accidentally when I wear the autour tablet, but that's a separate problem how disable this button windows at home. The backup battery drain is a different thing.
    Much more serious.
    So:
    QUESTION 1:
-How to disable this thing crappy connected standby that drains my battery and makes me crazy?
    QUESTION 2:
s ' it is not possible to disable directly, how to go around that? I don't have a button for this. Saying what to do with the windows registry is good enough.
    QUESTION 3:
-If connected standby cannot be disabled in some way - how to diagnose what app/process uses cycles cpu, battery juice? I've been everywhere ProcessExplorer and observer of events, but maybe you know something I don't know...
And please spare me the clean boot suggestions, when I go back to the 'normal' State I have a ton of bloatware I don't need running with the OS... There is a reason why a little more savvy people use these things as services.msc. Bloating! No, I didn't touch the system services... Yes I know it can cause a ton of problems, it is not.
I do not need a clean boot, I need a way which device in the Device Manager uses so much power, which driver, what app, what service, what is the process, this thread, where it has located in the file system, when he was active, how many cycles on the CPU, it has obtained since then...
And if MS doesn't already have this app in windows, it should be a cause of issues of power on windows tablets 8 of clovertrail are... plague. For example - this is exactly the problem (a similar review victory 8 connected tablet with the same question shall) here - http://www.umpcportal.com/2013/02/connected-standby-battery-life-problem/
When even comments from bloggers and tech write about it, you know that there is something in it.
But I guess that applications like freshpaint stupid finger paint are more important as a selling point.

Just to let you know all I found the registry key to disable the standby connected. So you can all stop rage and take a sigh of relief.

    Reach:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power. There is a DWORD value called "CsEnabled" that you should find the value 1 and change to 0 will turn standby connected power off.

I have a Surface Pro 3 and can confirm that since making the change in my battery life has improved considerably. Also on the battery meter, before he just showed the remaining percentage, but now it shows the time remaining (for example 8 hours, 30 minutes) as well.

The only drawback to it is when I close the type of cover and re - open, the logo (logo windows normally blue) surface appears and performs the old style wake up from its sleep. Of course this should not be a problem for some of you so as most laptops normally do...

Already when I opened the hood, the screen will come back and I'll be back at my desk (or metro app, no matter what either was last opened) just like before - similar to press the lock and turned off on an iPad, tablet or by phone.

I hope this helps all the world all that. Please like and mark as solution if it solves your problem :D

  • Solution of as influenced by identityservices battery Drain / Messages

iOS9 battery draining - in regards to the identityservices and Messages - affects IPhone, look at and OS X Devices

Some people have problems with the battery drain on their iOS devices. We have two sets of iPhone (each a 6s +) / Watch combinations - each running the latest versions - 9.3.1 and 2.2 respectively. On watchmaking and the iPhone battery drain has been noticed about five days after the release of the 9.3.1. I took the devices in the genius bar - they have worked on them for three hours - have many things to watch - restored like new. They also have to reset all the settings on the IPhone - all to nothing does not. Both devices had abnormal battery drain. They agreed to leave the ticket open for problems not solved.

I found a post that suggested the signing of all services. I tried on the first combination of iPhone and watch. It seemed clear the issue. I tried it a day later on the second phone - battery drain still very badly on the second set - it did not work. Tests showed that the watch itself (corresponding iPhone not tuned on) not not drain - drain you only while the iPhone is in. And the iPhone itself drained.

Next step: I ran Xcode instruments on iPhone still questions. I ran the monitor of activity several times for different periods. Run the latest showed the system task: identityservices consuming more than 5 HOURS CPU time in a period of 9 hours sleep. Safe to say that the task system was draining the battery. The iOS log lists the iPhone that task in the form of your CPU time excessive - and that the thread, the cause is linked to a message store. I did more research and found that this system task seems to have created problems of battery in another version of the IOS too.

I also found that the OS X version of this task (identityservicesd) created a countless number of error messages in the console log on two of our OS X devices (iMac and MacBook). He also ran the battery down on the laptop - quickly. Weapons of this information I instrumented again iPhone. I started to stop every iOS device - (two iPhones and two iPads) one by one - when three of these aircraft have been closed the identityservices task fell to minimal use of CPU - is no longer than 50-90-105%. In addition the corresponding task on the OS X iMac and MacBook stopped spitting out error messages.

I rebooted each iOS a device once they have been fully charged. The task of "runaway" system (identityservices) is back to very low use. On the iPhones battery life now - after being in mode standby for five hours - very low consumption 'use '. Not doing much with phones as five hours. Previously, its use was almost equal to the wait time - it was a low ratio. Now, it's an a very high ratio - about a 1 to 10. For those who like % - after five hours, it is 97%.

Regard to watches - we turn those and soon back on IPhones and see how they do. I'll post a report on those later in the day.

UPDATE: watches are now running to the normal battery level.

Error messages identityservicesd on OS X machines indicated that the error was associated with a particular 'ID of Machine' (not the same as the serial number appearing on). I'll see if I can track this number down to a specific device. I don't know how to find the Machine ID on the devices iOS - or watches also. Perhaps one of the devices was a problem - most likely turn off all devices and caches of posts offset by a reboot.

I think that some people may have the same problem - but perhaps do not realize it because they are used for a certain battery life level - or maybe they don't have it not as bad. In any case, I don't think that this particular system should continue to work and consume high CPU when there is a problem.

I hope this note helps people who seem to have battery problems. This isn't for everyone - I consider the following to determine if she could help.

    • Check your iOS log (settings |) Privacy | Diagnostics & use) for an entry that starts with: ExcResource_identityservicesd-2016-MM-DD...
    • If you have one or more of the above - the chances are that this may help you
    • Turning off all IOS devices (and maybe your OS X devices too - not sure if this is necessary) and feed them back on one by one.
    • Simple - for us it was very efficient
    • My concern - this can happen again if the tasks system is not changed.

My plan is to submit a bug report to Apple to document this behavior as son

For reference, here is an example of messages that have been continuously (~ 5/s) being produced in the log of OS X console during periods of exhausting high battery.

I have this same problem on my iPhone running iOS 9.3.1 6. I have not noticed any additional drain on my Apple Watch if. My iPhone battery life was fine before today where he went from 100% to 0% after having not used 8 1/2 hours. The only thing I did differently from any other day, it's Add airtime to my phone (I use Tracfone prepaid service). But this type of battery drain is not never happened before.

It doesn't look like my iPad 2 Air, MBPr 2014, and iMac 2013 (all updates running) seem to have no effect on my iPhone (and vice versa). My Apple Watch seems to have an effect minor on it, where the identityservices process will draw upward when the watch is connected at the start and then things will calm down back with occasional changes, but nothing drastic or "abnormal" (compared to the iPad).

One thing I noticed is that my old Apple devices (a 2009 iMac and a MacBook Pro 2008) send the process identityservices on my iPhone skyrocket as soon as they are turned on and connected to the wifi, and then once they are off the process comes back down. And with the iPhone locked, connected to Wifi with Bluetooth, when you are connected to the activity of Instruments monitor. Turn my iPhone market again (several times) has not changed anything. Even after the phone is dead earlier battery drain is always the same.

Thanks for all your advice! I'll try and see if I can get it working again "normal."

I'll also try to restore my iPhone and set up as nine (do not restore backup) since I restored recently to go to a backup and thought he could have problems with the backup that I restored from the phone display incorrect numbers for the size of the backups and what was actually be saved. I will update this post to see if things change after restoring my iPhone.

  • Pavilion HP 15: Hp battery drains when stop

    Hello

I bought new computer hp pavilion 15 laptop about 6 months back and that you not him have not used since... I have fully charged to use for the first time, then I stopped him with full battery, then I tried to use it after 2, 3 months, that the battery has been completely drained and he did not start at all, I had to load completely, he then used. and then I stopped it with full battery and now again it is completely emptied after 4 months without being used... I would like to ask whether it is normal that the laptop battery drains do not used for a long time or is it faulty?

    Please respond to my request.

L ' of full load and then do not use it for months, may have damaged the battery. 40% of the capacity is there you should have left and then removed the battery from the notebook to place it in a cool place for storage.

You may be able to calibrate the battery by the battery test in the HP Support Assistant.

What is the number of complete product of the product name of your laptop?

For the period during which you left unused, the prosecution should certainly have drained. It was absolutely normal.

  • Battery draining process without a name

    Hi all

I have a process without name running on my SW and it munching the battery at a remarkable speed. It seems to have been included in another application (that I will not name and certainly should not be malicious), but even if I uninstalled the parent application, the process remains

Does anyone know how to get rid of it? I know that I can reset the SW, but I had rather not head down this road

    Thanks in advance!

    Dan

    Hello

Thank you for your response. I actually found the real culprit: it's wear mail client. After uninstallation, use of the battery, back to normal

If anyone has this installed and know the abnormal battery drain, that's your problem. AppFour are working on it and I can't wait for them to offer the solution, rather than ask for a refund

I would advise that you take a look to carry the Mail Client, to be honest. It looks like a small soft cared when (if) it works

    Thanks for the support!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones "BOLD" battery draining - overheating problems

    Hi all

I'm new here I have BlackBerry for almost 2 years (curve 3000) and I was really happy with it (no problems) then I bought "BOLD" Saturday and has exhausted the battery - overheating problems! I downloaded the new software from T-Mobile Croatia site (they have one last but which did not help) after recharging and stay all night, he went flat within 6-7 hours so I went today (Monday) and they swapped the device for me, now I'm waiting to see what will happen. I have 4 questions:

1 can I download new software version of the device from the BlackBerry site that even I bought in Croatia from T-Mobile and which will have consequences on the device? If yes what are they?

    2. what causes this battery drain - overheating problems and how they can be stopped?

    3. is Facebook app in conflict with "BOLD"? Yes I have it on mine.

4 are all the other apps in conflict with it, i.e. Windows Live Messenger because I have too much that one on it?

    Thanks in advance!

    1. no consequence... the latest version of the "BOLD" OS device is located here:

    http://www.BlackBerryForums.com/General-9000-series-discussion-bold/194263-OS-9000-bold-4-6-0-477-4-...

2 could be a number of issues, several. You have 3G enabled on your "BOLD", on the one hand, (manage connections > Mobile Network Options?, and you have a 3 G with Tmobile Croatia network?) I know not flippant, you could ask that. If your device is constantly looking for a 3 G network and not finding what will cause the big battery drain.

Check your applications running in the background. There are usually four or five applications that will be always running (Messages, Call Logs/phone, BlackBerry Messenger, home screen and the browser; there are others such as BeamBerry and alarms which will run also). Ensure that the browser is NOT on an active Web page (must return the bookmarks page only). Close all other applications that do not need to be running (the camera or a game you were playing or Google Maps).

3 No.The FB app is developed by RIM.

    4. What do you mean 'in conflict '?

Read this on your battery and load:

I use my MacBook Air as a desktop computer. Should I leave the charger plugged all the time or should I drain the battery and then recharge? What is the best for the battery?

Keep the computer plugged in whenever possible.

If you keep the computer always connected, make sure that at least twice a month

Run it on battery until battery charge level falls to about 40-50%.

Please don't completely discharge the battery. Discharge the battery completely will reduce wear and tear on the battery.

"The question is often asked:" should I disconnect my laptop from the mains when not in service? Under normal circumstances it should not be necessary because as soon as the lithium-ion battery is full, a properly functioning charger will stop the load and load the pad will only engage when the battery voltage drops to a low level. Most of the users do not remove AC power, and this practice is safe. »

  • After the upgrade to iOS 9.2, I have no service and my battery drains quickly

I have an iPhone 6. I live in England.

I have upgraded to iOS 9.2 two days ago and I saw two problems since:

    1. I can not get any mobile service. I see the 'no. Service' at the top left of the home screen when I try to search for the service. A Wi - fi connection still works fine. I turned my phone off and on again, and while it does not find service briefly, it goes quickly back to 'No Service'. I tried to enter the Mobile Carrier settings area and deactivate the options, turn it back on. Nothing has worked.
    2. My battery drains very quickly. It is 14:12 in the afternoon and I currently have 29% of battery. Usually I didn't have come down below 60% when I get home at 5 pm, because I do not use my phone very strongly. The Gmail application took 35 percent of my independence despite spending only 9 minutes on screen. My phone is hotter that it would normally be.

I have heard that when a mobile phone search service repeatedly, it uses a lot of battery. This phone has been updated with the airplane Mode + Wi - fi since this morning - I did have this service at any time you are looking for today.

People have recommended reset my settings, but I don't know what this will do to my phone, so I didn't, as whenever someone suggests it, it does not work for the afflicted person.

Is there anywhere I can check the reports of bugs with the 9.2 release? I feel like there is a problem with it, but I don't see anything on the internet to suggest that.

  • Watch the OS 3 drain battery quickly

Since the update shows OS 3 last night, the life of my watch battery drains ridiculously fast. Every 20 minutes, I witnessed a battery drain for at least 4-5% without use. It's even worse when I use the app to training. I turned off refresh in the background app and the problem still remains. I also tried to restart the phone & shows as well as some non-matched and restored from backup. Still nothing.

    Hello

Battery life varies depending on use and other factors.

During tests, for example, Apple has reached 18 hours of battery life with the next use: 90 time checks, 90 notifications, 45 minutes of usage of the app and a workout of 30 minutes with Apple Watch Bluetooth music playback.

As you have already tried disconnecting and rematching that progress of your watch, the following can help:

    • Find and install the updates that are available for third-party applications on your iPhone and watch.
    • Check that you do not have a workout running or suspended in the integrated training application.
    • If you already have (not necessarily only recently) already used any third party fitness, followed applications such as Strava to Records workouts on your watch, check on your watch to see if there is currently activity paused in the any of these applications. If there is, put an end to this activity of this application on your watch (not on your iPhone).
      • If in doubt, it can help to remove this any application of third party fitness of your watch.
    • Under earlier versions of the software, some users have reported problems with battery life in the framework using profiles and/or Exchange calendars. If you use an Exchange calendar, can help to one or more of the following:
      • Check your Exchange calendar for all items before today.
      • Delete / delete all old messages related to the prompt calendar Inbox (accept and refuse notifications).
      • Create a rule in your email account Outlook moves future all accept and reject responses as they are received, in a separate e-mail folder that will not sync with your iPhone and Apple Watch.
      • Consult your Exchange calendar to find errors.
    • Finally, it can help to remove all third-party applications on your watch and then monitor the performance of the battery after you have added back, one at a time. It is the same regarding complications of watch face.

After trying the above steps, if your watch continues discover much shorter battery life than suggest examples of Apple you should expect, contact Apple support (mail service may be available) or make a Genius Bar reservation in order to have your watch checked, if recommended by Apple (warranty, if it qualifies):

I don't know what happened now, I've updated El Capitan 10.11.6 updated, I see one done drain. I tried Command-Option-P-R, but unlike the previous versions of the OS (Yosemite), this time I get a different screen, where everything makes me panic.

I don't want the operating system reinstalled, taken an old backup of time machine etc. I just need better battery life. Can someone me hint at what could have gone wrong. I'm ready to send more details, according to which ask you to investigate this.

    Thank you

Try this first: reboot safe mode (takes awhile) and restart normally afterwards.

  • iPhone 4S heating quickly, turn off the power and the battery drains quickly.

    Hello

My problem is exactly the same as the title. My iPhone 4S warms up quickly, turn it off and after I turn the iPhone, the battery drains quickly and the iPhone will turn off after 5 minutes. iPhone turns off again and again until I put the iPhone on the charger. It is bad because I like to play games like Pokémon GO. But after 10 minutes of play, the iPhone starts heating (and of course delay).

Things I've tried: (and didn't work)

The apps I use no fence. (I close applications once I stop playing)

Turn off location Services. (Enabled only when I'm with apps like GPS...)

    Reduce the brightness

I will be grateful for any kind of help.

Welcome to Apple Support communities, Krystof11cze.

It seems that you encounter problems with your iPhone 4S on iOS 9.2.1 with heating, battery draining and stopping. Good job on the steps you tried as I would have recommended those as well. I will do my best to help!

    1. backup of your iOS device - because I have erase you your iPhone completely, it is strongly recommended that you will lose your data if you do not.

    2. restore your device to factory settings - using the settings on your iPhone will only erase your personal data. You will need to let iTunes erase the iOS version installed a new clean copy can take place.

3 test the question - the first time through, set up your iPhone as a new iPhone when it asks. It's just temporary. You can connect to iTunes and App Store and iCloud and also download some of your applications. Test for problems you encounter. If your iPhone's battery life is improved, follow the next step.

    4. restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

    Take care!
