  I reinstalled Win Xp Prof on my satellite A100 - 773 (PSAA9E) and have a problem with the Ethernet controller. In Device Manager, the controller is marked with a yellow '?'.

  Install it on the Device Manager and right click on ethernetcontroller - installation driver. This is the message that no driver is found (in the right! folder) nothing can be installed...

  I also remove ethernet controller, so that windows automatic reseacht for this, but nothing works.

  I don't know what I can do

  I can post a link where you can download the driver but I put t know what driver is missing now. Do you mean the WLAN or LAN card? What is the device?

  Please check the vendor and device ID to identify which device needs a driver. Go to Device Manager > right click on Ethernet controller > properties.
  There you should find some information like PCI\VEN_xxxx & DEV_xxxx
  With these codes you can look here to identify the device: http://www.pcidatabase.com/

  After this verification, the page of Toshiba to download a driver.

  I'm having a problem with a PSAA5A-01H00T A100 running Win XP sp2.
  Windows does not recognize an ethernet controller, so the wireless NETWORK card does not work, even if the wired connection is.
  I tried to install the latest WLAN drivers on the support site (two of them), does not. Windows insists that the correct drivers are not installed.

  I suspect a hardware problem and I have the user on an external wireless NETWORK card, but I would appreciate any idea that you guys can provide.

  What Ethernet controller is not recognized? WLan or LAN?
  You have a few unknown devices in Device Manager?
  If so, then a critical driver is missing, and so the controller is not recognized correctly.

  You n t know what LAN or Wlan chip you have and what driver is needed?

• Equium M50 164: cannot install the Ethernet controller driver

  My laptop was recently formatted and everything is back to normal except the DSL; Device Manager displays a yellow exclamation mark on Ethernet controller.

  I tried to find a suitable and closest driver, I had was Equium M series PSM59 (5.621.628.2004). I have downloaded and run the installation, but the yellow exclamation point is always there - even if I uninstall the driver and restart the installation. I get the message "new hardware found" and the installation wizard appears. But when I try to refer to the specific location for the driver, it says driver not found.

  What is the correct driver for the machine? If not, what is it and what is the address of the site? And I do it the right way?

  Satellite A50-164 belongs to the series of PSM57E, not the PSM59 series that you have posted.

  In order to check the Toshiba website for drivers and the controller again missing Ethernet could be the card LAN or WLAN card.
  Make sure you have both installed.

  Go to the manufacturer of your computer support, Web site, they should have the drivers you need.  Because you don't give us no details to go we can tell you what their website is, or how access to the drivers.

  What exactly do you need? Driver WLan or LAN driver?

  Satellite A100-768 belongs to the PSAA9E series.
  All the drivers are located on the page of the European driver Toshiba

  As far as I know the Wlan card is INTEL 3945ABG and the driver can be found here also:

  The LAN can be Intel or Realtek check both

  Well, if you have installed your laptop not from the CD of Toshiba Recovery, so you must install all Toshiba drivers and utilities. This should be done in the right order!
  The chipset utility is very important. It must be installed first.

  Download the right WLan driver and extract it to the folder.
  Go to Device Manager, select the Wlan card and install the driver. The source of the driver is the folder of extraction.

  What is the error message you are getting while installing Ethernet controller

  If the manufacturer lists only the drivers for Windows XP not Windows Vista or Windows 7, it means that the device is not taken in charge or incompatible with non-listed operating systems.

  Go back to Device Manager and click on the devices that need drivers one at a time.

  Then click on the Details tab. Now, you will see a drop-down list of properties. Drop down on it and select the second element (Hardware ID).

  After the first string of characters you see in the window.

  Those will be ID, type and model of the missing devices and I will send you the links to the drivers you need

  The other day I was cleaning up my computer (just uninstall unused and games programs and other things) and I accidentally uninstalled my ethernet controller.

  I restarted my computer and it came with a box saying install ethernet controller. So I click on this button and it said to put in the disc that came with the computer, but I do not have a disk, and so I clicked on another option that says "use another option to install this" so I clicked it, but then he said you must be connected to the internet. which is all just stupid because I can't connect because no ethernet controller not... So! My question is: what can I do to install it again, or whatever. I'm not that smart computer, as I don't know anything about any electronics inside the screen or something, I'm on of those people who knows how to change the wallpaper and installing a game, but that's all.

  Can I get a disk to the message box says to Toshiba? or perhaps a local store like Ricahrd Smith (Actaully his Di * ck smith, he said I can't have the complete word apparently his rough. haha) or something?

  Please help me. I am writing from an Internet café and I really don't like this part of town... lol. I'd rather be in the comfort of my own home and being on the internet there.

  To me it sounds like that, you have also uninstalled the driver of Ethernet controller and so after reboot, the message appears that you will install the Ethernet controller.

  However, you can download all the drivers for your laptop on the Toshiba site:

  Maybe you can download the driver in the internet cafe or a friend who has the internet connection.

  More the laptop is not delivered with a recovery disk because you have to create this disc by yourself. If you start the Toshiba recovery disc creator you can create the recovery disk that contains an image of the factory settings. You can boot from that disk but it erase your entire HARD drive so always backup the files on the HARD disk before using it. It of pretty easy to use and only takes a few minutes.
  If you would like more information on the recovery disk, please consult your user manual!

  I just installed a fresh copy of Windows XP SP2 home edition on my Satellite A100-646 model no PSAARE. I downloaded and installed all the drivers from the Toshiba support website, but I can't install Ethernet controller. There are 2 types of "LAN-Intel Pro 1000 PL" on the support Web site. I've tried both but do not work.
