  my PC pro 8 windows stops responding and when I check in Manager tasks, it indicates 100% disk usage while the CPU is not used and not even alone is open. I don't know what the problem with my system since this problem started recently. I use windows 8 months that it released until yesterday, I had no problem. I can restore pc to the normal operating mode after several forced off using the power button. This especially happens first start to the top of the day while all day if I'm constantly using pc I don't encounter any problem, but if I put it to sleep and again once I wake up get similar problem.   I recently bought the laptop mentioned in the title and it is unusable because the use of the disc seems randomly to 100% and the computer freezes, appears not to occur when it is started in safe mode.

  I downloaded the latest drivers and windows updates, uninstalled McAfee, stopped and disabled the superfetch, windows search and services of BITS, but none of this solves the problem.

  Error code 24 characters for short drive Self Test (DST) would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  It is also entirely consistent with the performance issues you describe.

• Sucks tc-705 100% disk frequent use in the Task Manager

  This started happening after the birthday of win10 updated day & difficulty last week.

  Manager tasks indicates the disk at or close to 100% and the system freeze for up to a minute.

  FYI, I think I may have found the solution, it is power options 'AHCI Link power management' and 'PCI Express Link State Power management'. So far I have no 129 cases mistaken

• Inspiron 546 on Win10 has 100% disk usage

  Inspiron 546 my son has been upgraded to Win10 early on after that that he was released.  It was fine for a long time.  Now, the computer takes at least 20 minutes to boot and it is almost impossible to do anything about it.  I don't think that it's an infection because he's not really using it for the Internet.

  The use of the hard drive was 100% a few months ago so I cleaned the disk and reinstalled.  It was fine for the last few month, but now it's happening again.

  I tried a few suggestions around to disable Windows Search, prefetch and MSI.  However, the computer just wants to turn the HDD without doing great thing else.

  I'm trying to move the data to a different hard drive to see if that helps.

  Suggestions more?

  I think that the problem is indeed a bad hard drive.  Windows said there is no problem with the drive it runs chkdsk /f /r (directed by linux) came with a lot of errors.

  2. click on Advanced system settingss
  3. in the course of execution, click settings
  4. go into the Advanced tab
  5. under virtual memory, click change
  6 uncheck 'automatically manages the size of pagefile for all readers' checkbox
  7. Select your windows player (where the operating system is installed)
  8. click on the radio button custom format
  9. set the initial size equal to the size of your RAM in MB
  10 set the maximum size of twice your RAM size in MB
  11. click on the value
  12. click OK three times

  the load down on the internet limit is used in about 2 weeks, that it is with a download of large files. also, a window pops up saying that he caused by svchost.exe high disk usage.

  I had a few a look at the problem on the computer and they seemed remedy and the down load was normal for a while, but has since returned to duty.
