11.1.1.6 ADF deployment of WLS 10.3.6

Hello

I'm developing an application of ADF (11.1.1.6). The customer already has Weblogic 10.3.6 for other applications of FMW.

I understand that 11.1.1.6 is compatible with 10.3.6. But since 11.1.1.6 a WLS integrated, 10.3.5, we are facing all the problems with development server and the production server with different versions?

Please let me know.

I use 11.1.1.6(instead de 11.1.1.7), because I need to draw advantage of Oracle EBS SDK for integration of the ADF-e-Business Suite. I got a confirmation of Oracle that the SDK is certified up to 11.1.1.6.

Thank you

"we face any problem having development server and the production server with different versions?

-No, we have many applications developed with 11.1.1.6 JDev and deployed on WL 10.3.6, and we didn't have any problem.

  • Cannot print on the label Zebra printer when it is deployed to WLS

With the help of Jdev 12.1.3 on Windows Pro

My WebApp needs to print labels on a Zebra label printer. The printer is a Windows printer with the name \\print1\Zebra-2. We tried printing from the Web application deployed to WLS in cluster and does not have any exceptions, but no label not printed. A colleague suggested the running on WLS integrated application and see if the symptoms has changed. It was a good idea as the label printed the first time that we have tried.

Question is, why? Is there some configuration item that grouped WLS needs? Tried some searching on google but no luck at the moment.

The name of the printer is stored in a database table and appears as installed on the server, but it does not appear on the local computer either so I excluded as a printer driver problem.

The app is secure ADF when it is deployed. I tested when he worked in the library of the ADF, isolated from the trusted application.

Is there some security or devices of WLS which must be open?

    Thanks in advance,

Check that your application module uses JDBC data instead of the connection URL source

Click with the right button to click for the app module configuration > localAppModule (don't remember exactly) but you will see here

to use JDBC, data source to ensure it is created in the WLS console as well as the Services > sources of data tab and use the same JNDI name

    This might help http://techiecook.wordpress.com/2010/12/02/oracle-weblogic-adf-datasources/

  • How to reduce the Oracle ADF deployed Mobile

    Hello

I created simple demonstrations with Oracle ADF Mobile and the deployment file is more than 50 MB. Is there a way to reduce this size? Maybe remove some features unused llike SQLLite?

At the moment you can't do much. Oracle is working on that. With one of the next versions the size will reduce if all goes well.  If you create the application without debugging information, the size is smaller.

As already mentioned in post using mode of publication, not only didn't it reduces deployment time in minutes (from 10 minutes you specified), but also to reduce the size of archive to a third party.

  • The ADF deployment

    Jdev dear community,

I developed an application I want to deploy on http://www.myserver.com

    I figured out this deployment root consists of http:// < servername >: < port > / < context-root >/faces/myfile.jspx, which was not difficult.

But I also realized that I can not put the root of context to be ' / ' nor erase the faces servlet in the WEB. XML to get rid of this / faces / * part.

So, what should I do? How can I deploy an application to http://www.myserver.com without people / < context root > and /faces?
Of course I also want this first page in my application automatically loads... Is there something like index.html?

How can I make my available pages for web crawlers? Define keywords in index.html?

    Thank you

    Hi all

Using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3. We have integarted SVN with our jdeveloper. Now, we must deploy the application. How I can do it, using my local working copy, or I have export SVN application and then open it with Jdeveloper and continue the deployment?

    Kind regards
    Vikram

    It depends on your needs.
If you deploy only on a test server, you are fine to use your local copy. If you need to return to the exact copy of all sources of the version deployed tge, you have to go a different path.

Normally we do re-extract all projects necessary to build the application in a directory of costs, build all projects (if all goes well without error) are the necessary jars, wars and ears. If all this happens without error, we first delploy on the test server to see the deployment is ok. Can mark us this version of svn (this allows mounting on the exact version) and deploy it on the server of QS for tests. If all tests passed through, we deploy the correct ERAs on the production server.

When a user encounters an error in the production version, you need to decide if lay down you the law to the error in the production version (patches), or if you set in the normal development cycle.
Patches are made on the version labeled to ensure that nothing other changes next to the error. The fix should be worn on the development version too! If the error is already fixed you can backport for the labeled version.

Check the creation and deployment projects are performed outside jdev via ant (you can try maven if you want).
