  Have you tried to update the currently installed driver in Device Manager?

  Whenever you connect the USB to your computer, it will first try to detect the device and load the drivers. The drivers do not get loaded unless you are logged on as administrator.  This is normal.

  Try running the FIXIT who can solve some problems related to hardware devices.
