2 problems with send/receive email

I have an application that receives and sends emails.  When TI receives an email of interest that the email is deleted in the public papers.  It's the new message notification never goes away.  So if I get 5 emails my program needs, the message counter will be locked at 5.

I try to set the State of the message before deleting.  With the help of:

m.setStatus (Message.Status.TX_READ, 0);

f.deleteMessage (m);

I also tried to wait a short time before the deleteMessage, but still the meter counts.

Secondly when I send a message I want to remove public newspapers after they are sent.  So I run a loop to keep control of the message to change state.  But he never does.

If (m.getStatus () == Message.Status.TX_SENT: m.getStatus () == Message.Status.TX_DELIVERED) {}

f.deleteMessage (m);

Is done in another thread, and yes it is to verify, because after 15 seconds I said to drop the audit for delivery and just remove it.

I test on a BlackBerry Pearl 8130 4.5.0.77

This phone just not set/verification, message status values?  or am I wrong in how I'm setting/control

I need to see your code.

I have a commercial product that allows the same operation and I have never seen the problem you describe here.

Now, a few caveats:

1. in the message sink, your context is the e-mail thread (not your application). You should never keep this thread with long a sleep() or any treatment

2. in this context, you have the message before committing the folder and before incrementing the value of message waiting.

I think that you can be setting the message as 'open' before the Mail app increment the counter, which she will do when the message is posted to the folder without worrying. Of course, he cannot commit until it leaves your listener

My suggestion is to send an event to your own application (from the listener), containing the message, and then allow the thread of e-mail at the exit of the listener and finish the validation of the message. Then, you can intercept the message and mark the message as open, after validation.

  • -ERA [AUTH] username/password invalid. I use MS2007 0n a windows xp system. When I try to send/receive emails, the system remember my password, it will not except my password.

    About 3 months ago, I started to apply the zone enter the network password in Outlook when I tried to send/receive email.  I was using WIndows 2003.  I worked with my ISP, that would be to delete and recreate my email accounts (sometimes it would work for a day or so, but the problem will come back).  Microsoft has stated that they do not support Windows 2003 and recommended that update for 2007.  A day after the upgrade, the message reappears.  I had my speed of the laptop and hard drive updated and cleaned for any potential problem, but the problem still exists.

  • BlackBerry smartphones send/receive emails to business via Wifi

    Hello

    Is there a way to define the place of "BOLD" to send / receive e-mails to company via Wifi when, in a trusted network zone?

    Hi Kris_Stuart69 and welcome to the forums,

    You should have no problems at all sending or receiving emails (BES or BIS) when connected to WiFi. When your "BOLD" is connected to the mobile network and WiFi at the same time, it will use the WiFi as the preferred connection. You can test this by making that WiFi is connected (connection-> Services Status Manager) and it will show you what service is currently being used for Mobile, BlackBerry Internet Service and BlackBerry Enterprise Service voice. When BIS and BES show free 'WiFi', you would be able to turn off the mobile network and you will always be able to send/receive emails. Once you have done so, turn on the mobile network and you'll see the link always shows as "WiFi" instead of "Mobile network".

    I hope this helps

    I also tried Thunderbird with the same result.  Could this be a problem with the OS behind Windows Mail?

    I need help to understand what is happening here.

    If this also happens with Thunderbird, it is more likely a server problem and not a Windows problem.

    Looks like you are running in a block of 25 port.
    As a general rule, the owner of port 25 SMTP server you use must be the same as the entity that provides your Internet connection at the moment. To learn more about this issue, see anti-spam

    The workarounds available when sending abroad are the following:

    1. use webmail to send (via your browser).
    2. ask your ISP if they have one port other than '25' for SMTP.
    3. If you use the same connection away from home frequently,
    Replace with the SMTP belonging in this regard. It's a bit
    difficult, but if you want to go this route, I can provide more details.
    4. If you frequently send to multiple locations, get a free Gmail account,
    Configure it to POP access, set up in Windows Mail and use it to
    your shipment of household chores. Gmail uses port 465 for SMTP, which is not blocked
    as port 25 is.
