2 WGA600Ns?

I noticed some people have multiple WGA600Ns attached to different devices on their network.  How are you doing this, depending on their configuration.  I have a WGA600N and I can manipulate via my web browser in terms of changing the settings.  If I were to add an another WGA600N, the installation software recognizes the first unit and set up the second unit with a different address?

Thanks for any help.

No problem.  If I had another (and I might one day), I renounce all CD process and just plug in a cable CAT 5e or CAT 6 of the WGA600N on one of my computer and try to point my browser to http://wga600n.  "Once connected, I would choose the SSID of my choice, change the IP address to one that I will remember and later to create a pool of intellectual property for that IP in my router, under ' wireless settings ', I would only choose the appropriate band, for example. I put it at 2.4 GHz only because I'm not using 5 GHz. at this stage.  I put the appropriate mode, for example. 802.11n only, as appropriate.  Under Security, I set it to WPA2 AES according to the settings of your router and enter the right key.  Make sure that if you copy and paste, you don't stick the spaces you have errors on entering the characters too.  Finally, I restart the device and unplug it from my computer and connect it to the device wired to need a bypass.

Basically, it's the same process as setting up first.  I've heard of many who have more than one device and it works well for them.

  • WGA600N Wireless N does not connect to the N, G speed only

I have a WGA600N Wireless-N game adapter and a router WRT160N (v3).   I can't get the adapter for games to connect at speeds of G.    I tried to adjust the adapter for games to use only the N band, but then he used to see even the router at all, it does not detect the network period.    If I have configured the router to N-band only, the same issue happens (though ideally I need in mixed mode for my laptop anyway). I have connected the WGA600N directly through the web interface of the intellectual property and has tried a variety of settings, but no help.  I can clearly see in the State of the adapter of game that it is connected to an 11g-force when the value of mixed mode.    I use WPA encryption if it matters.

I have the adapter for games within a few feet of the router at this facility, so I don't think it could be a question of signal strength, but unfortunately I do not have another Wireless-N to test against the router.

    Any ideas?

Just to follow up, I was able to get the speed 11ng use WPA2 AES mode only to work.   This isn't the perfect solution for me because my PSP only supports WPA WPA2 not - however N speed for my consoles wireless is more important, so I'll just have to manually change my router settings any time I want to connect any WPA or less peripheral encryption online.   Not perfect, but better than nothing solution.

  • Game WGA600N adapter used to connect to the router WRT310N but not now.

I have a game WGA600N adapter that connected perfectly to a WRT310N router. Has worked for 2 months. Then one night while being connected via the adapter for games, connection has been lost. I was unable to reconnect since. I have reset the router and adapter of game (full reset) and still not connecting. I thought that it could be the signal, but I put the adapter for games about 3 to 4 feet of the router and it still not connect. In addition, when you browse the installer on the adapter for games I can see my network SSID only one part of the time. In this case the weather in normal or next to the router as location mentioned above. Whenever I go through installation and network appears, I continue through the process, but I get an "unable to connect" alternation and the message "network found" that opens. By clicking 'next' never connects to the network. As stated, it worked fine for 2 months before this problem. I thought it was the router and replaced it with the same type and not luck. I must also stress that I was able to connect to an old WRT54GS router without problem. I also tried to connect wireless to the router WRT310N with another PC and had no luck in the connection... However he also finds and connects to the WRT54GS router without a hitch. I am lost at this point.

As you have arelady set up your WAG600N with WRT54GS router and it worked perfectly well. Then I think the problem lies on WRT310N router. Maybe your game adapter and computers are not connect to your wireless network. You must change some settings in your wireless router. Follow this steps on your router and I think this will make your adapter games work perfectly well.

  • WGA600N and uTorrent... capped at 200 Kbps?

I recently installed the WGA600N and hooked up through my card pci ethernet (gigabit capable), and everything looks good except for downloading via bittorrent.  It is connected to a DIR-825 in the 5 GHz range to N only.  The DIR-825 related forces signal about 70 to 75% and a rate of 270 to 300 Mbps.  However, in the connection network icon in the right sidebar below shows speed: 100.0 Mbps.  Not sure why this will not jump above 100 Mbps with the ethernet card compatible gigabit and forces signal strong enough?  With all that being said... If I upload a file via the web/firefox I can hit speeds of up to about 600 Kbps... BUT, if I run a bittorrent via uTorrent I out cap to a max of 200 kbps download speed.

Am I missing a setting on the WGA600N?  Why would I capped at 200 kbps download via a bittorrent client speeds?  In addition, all the drivers are updated, my port is open, and I was able to reach speeds of 600 Kbps in uTorrent via another D-Link N adapter, so I know that's not my internet connection (Fios).

Thanks in advance for any help!

I solved this problem.  My connection speed of global download in uTorrent preferences has been somehow set to 200 Kbps max.  So my question has nothing to do with the WGA600N.  Sorry for the waste of space here.

  • The WGA600N can switch between 2 channels?

I hope that I am not on something, but I can't find an answer to my question.

I have the WRT610N simultaneous dual band router paired with a WGA600N wireless dual-band adapter.

With the router, I set myself to 2.4 and 5 GHz channels separate SSID and WPA2 encryption keys.  My adapter, although it can 'see' the two networks, connect only to one. On the product for the WGA600N support page, it says clearly, "dynamically travel channels and wireless networks based on the quality of the actual signal and a link for maximum availability and reliability of connection."

My question is... How can I activate my game card work on the 2.4 and 5 GHz channels to find the best connection?  It seems in the WGA600N Setup, it makes me choose a channel.  Both channels on my router must be on the same SSID and the same encryption key for the adapter to switch back?  Should I switch to WEP mode?

On your Linksys card, only a single frequency could serve both (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz), although it could pass the frequency... Access your game card and go to the Wireless tab on the Basic tab, select 802.11 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band... 802.11 mode should be mixed 802.11na, 802. 11A, 802.11ng, 802.11 g, 802. 11 b, let the rate of automatic transmission and channel width should be 20/40 MHz...

Be sure to set the security WPA (not WEP/WPA2) wireless...

  • Question of WGA600N

I was wondering how many Mbps is the WGA600N and if it would work on my PC?

Also I was looking for a wireless game adapter because the current that I am using (not linksys) behind and show all the one or two seconds when I play a game. Can someone recommend me an adapter that would be great for the games? I am currently using linksys WRT320N router.

It converts wired Ethernet-ready consoles game to Wireless N network connectivity... It works without drivers on Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 or 3, and GameCube...

It should report > or = to 270mbps on the 2.4 GHz band, but with the band of 5 GHz range will be much better if it'll get 130 or 140mbps...

You can go with adapter WGA600N game, also you need to adjust settings on the adapter for games and your router wireless, make sure the wireless settings are identical...

  • WRT610N and WGA600N game help?

Hey everyone I need help to find the best settings for wrt610n for games and it goes the same for the wga600n. whenever I play a game the connection falls for about 1 minute then I can play again. as he always says something about the strict firewall whenever I play war gear please help. Thank you

I figured out problem that the triclk is if you play on a console or anything that allows you to take off the firewall, you need to do DMZ is enter the ip address for what you play and BOOM the connection is good. I turned on the 5gz return string and it works perfectly since there is no firewall to slow the connection on my xbox 360

  • WGA600N default for WPA/WPA2 TKIP/AES despite settings saved after reboot

Strange comment here: when I select in the web the WGA600N utility: WPA/WPA2 TKIP/AES after restart only WPA2 and AES only, always default.  I saw it twice.

Anyone has an idea why it is doing this? My D-Link 825 security is set to WPA2 with AES encryption only algorithm.

I read that the maximum speed is obtained by forcing these settings and I tried to get the router and bridge to match.

As I pointed out in the "New Firmware" thread, the problem is solved with the release of 1.05.

  • WGA600N and the WRVS4400N

I have problems with the connection of the wireless game adapter.  He is able to find my router and it connects to where he asks my security key.  I enter the key and I checked it came directly through my eyes and someone else and I cannot get it to connect.  I really need to keep my WRVS4400N in the House to protect my periphery of Home Office, but I can not get the adapter to connect and do not want to buy another router woreless.  Any suggestions?  What settings can I give show you where I went wrong.  I don't really have chnged much the default value on the router.  I have a few settings to restrict access, but they are specific MAC address.  I also disabeld these and tried and it still does not work.

can't really think of anything except recheck that the WPS is disabled in your WGA600N because WRVS4400N does not support. This feature has been examined in the link below:

    http://KB.Linksys.com/16319

also, since you mentioned that you use MAC address filtering (at least that's how I interpreted ' some access restriction settings, but they are specific MAC address ' ) to ensure that it is disabled when you try to configure the settings on the game adapter wireless

  • WRT160N, it will work as a bridge towards WGA600N?

I have a Linksys WGA600N games adapter hooked up to my TV receiver satellite.  I had a crush and lost my previous Setup, so I replaced a modem AT & T with the modem/gateway 2 wire of AT & T, then, I must get my access to internet gaming adapter again.  Can I connect the WRT160N to my AT & T 2 wire gateway to provide access to my WGA600N?  AT & T gateway is a router/modem and is wireless, but I would be hard wire the WRT160N than.  I would use only the WRT160N as an access point or a bridge between the gateway and the adapter for games and any other wirleless PC you may want to use.

Also, I should create another wireless network, or should I use other wireless through my AT & T gateway?

Yes the games adapter will work with AT & T Router. As your game adapter is an adapter of series N, but its a Compitable backwards and it can connect to a network of G and goes perfectly well with your G series router.

  • Does not connect WRT310N a WGA600N adapter games had worked for 2 months now?

I have a WRT310N wireless router and connected an adapter WGA600N Wireless 2 months ago game. Both purchased and installed at the same time. Works perfectly for about 2 months. Then one night when logged in it just dropped connection. I tried to solve the problem... reset router... reset the game device wireless (including the reset total) and not luck. I thought that maybe the router went buggy I went and bought a new WRT310N. Who has not corrected the situation. Now, whenever I try to connect to the router the WGA600N will pick up the router (see the SSID) but if I update the list may disappear. I thought maybe it was signal strength, so I moved the WGA600N down next to the router (in about 5 feet). Same thing... wouldn't connect... even if the signal seems to be there all the time. I'm at a loss as to what may be the problem. I thought about doing a new WGA600N but it becomes expensive. Any ideas?

I should add that the WGA600N connects to a WRT54GS router without problem. I also tried to connect to the router WRT310N with another PC wireless, and it wouldn't connect. Currently, I run the game through the older router device but is not what I want to do what is not my router.

You set up your WAG600N with WRT54GS router and it worked perfectly fine. Then I think the problem lies on WRT310N router. Maybe your game adapter and computers are not connect to your wireless network. You must change some settings in your wireless router. Follow this steps on your router and I think this will make your adapter games work perfectly well.

  • How to reset the password on my adapter WGA600N game.

I have an adapter WGA600N game that some how (I blame my friends girls) ceased to connect to my wireless router.  When I try to open it to be asked a password. All my standard ones don't seem to work. How can I reset it so it allows me to select a new user name and password. I tried the reset on the back button and that does not seem to do. I want to go back to the point where I bought reset it and start over from scratch. The documentation is of no help.

Have you tried the password "admin" with a username "in white"?  This could be the same as the Passover "default" for most Linksys routers.
