• Add Server 2012 R2 Server Manager servers dialog box problem

  I have a problem in 2012 R2 Server when you add a remote server to all server management interface.   Using the dialog box add servers to add a workgroup server (no configured DNS server), I added the problem of server using the IP address.  A dialog box appears that says "can't resolve host would you like to add it anyway?  For awhile do this, I clicked 'No', but finally clicked on Yes and the server by its server name has been added.

  However, I can not access this server remotely, make sure that it is in the list of approved first hosts.  I have the correct IP addresses and have firewall advances for troubleshooting I can connect on the server locally with an administrator account.

  Removing the server from the remote management console, and then add that it does not solve the problem as server name solves always in the dialog add a server with the credentials apparently wrong.  It is the only server of four that I made this mistake, the other three work great after choosing 'Yes' to add the server non - solve anyway.

  My question is, how do I clear the credentials of server 'broken' out of the 'Add Server' dialog box to the server properly.  The added server is another Server R2 2012.  I changed server names and addresses IP, but the dialog box always detects the server with the new information and still not will not properly add it to Manager remotely.

  And the idea of how to do to erase the old credentials?

  Windows 2012 Standard license gives you the ability to have 2 vm.  When I go down one of the licenses for 2008 server, im assuming im may 2 2008 Vm for a license, is - that correct?

  Or he return to the old 2008 license where you where only allowed 1 2008 vm by standard license?

• 2012 caching server records

  We have several disks presented to a windows server 2012 machine via the fiber channel (two single hba).

  If disconnect the fiber, windows crashes on the discs and still the list all files/directories just won't let you open anything.  If you restart it is such that early.

  This doesn't help us with redundancy.  Is there a kind of function we can toggle or run anything to force windows to the collection of changes?

• 2012 R2 server error 0 x 00000139

  Receive error message 0 x 00000139 on my Server R2 2012. I visited the Site of Support of MS which manages the resolution of this error; However, when I downloaded the fix and tried to install it, the system kicks back an error saying that "this update is not applicable to your system." or other similar term. The server crashes every 10-15 minutes.

  I have the OS installed on a HP DL380p Gen8 system.

  FYI, the system cannot be connected to the internet, so you can not remote inside. Any help is appreciated and welcomed.

  Trolls will be eaten for breakfast.

• Windows Server R2 2012 domain server has problem of tombstone

  8614 directory service cannot replicate with this server because the time since the last replication with this server has exceeded the tombstone lifecycle.

  I have a primary domain server and five additional domain controller (all servers running windows server 2012 R2), each in the other location. In that four of them works fine. but a single additional DC because of the headstone, because of server has long downtime (more than one year). I also try to demote the domain controller, but unable to it. So is there a solution

• Thumbnail option does not work in Terminal Server in Windows Server 2012 and server session

  This might be a stupid question.

  We have two Windows server 2012 R2 - TS and DC. The clients are connecting to TS and access the shared network drives present in DC. I always unchecked 'show icons, never thumbnails' and 'Show thumbnails in System Properties' enabled on DC and the two TS.

  No always thumbnail option.

  You will need to click on each image. Users have many files containing multiple images. It's annoying to click and view each image.

  Note: NO GPO is configured to block it. Checked.

  I can't find any object GPO to allow this option to be :)

  More info. For customers, anywhere, whether network shares or all folders in TS session. It does not work. Also tried painting and Windows Photo Viewer.

  I started to get this two small server running Server 2012 Foundation R2, they work well for almost a year into two separate companies. All of the sudden they both started to get this error. The server are Fujitsu, both running the OEM of ROK Fujitsu version are authorized and registered with microsoft. They work together in a 'working group' envioment and both have 9/10 users (Foundation supports 15 users) that I've seen so much after that, but neither gives an answer before stright as to what is the problem and how to fix it? a moment to give a shared other printer installed DNS, I checked both and both work very well. The two server is the only server on the network and is configured as a tourist server but are not used as such users share only 1 or 2 folders and print nothing else is used. Any pointer appsiated.

• License with 2012 VM server issues

  I use 2012 r2 essentials, I put in place 1 vm on the BONE and used it for 30 days of trial period.

  I then bought a license, when I enabled the host what OS, the virtual machine is not triggered automatically.

  I then activated the virtual machine with the key instead, because it is more critical than the host.

  Is there a specific way it can get both machines activated using one of the keys?

• Help! Window 2008 server R2 and R2 2012 window server time synchronize the difference

  Hello Sir/Madam,

  Help! I have a pair of window Server 2008 R2 and a pair of window Server R2 2012, who are the synchronization of time to one destination.

  After that time synchronization is successful, the window Server 2008 R2 clocks are still 1 second faster than those in the 2012 window servers.

  Is there anyone who got the same problem as me?
