  To change black cartridge - the "Press ENTER to align cartridges" message.  I can't find a way to clear the message, I think I've tried everything...  Copy / scan functions do not work - print works very well.  Suggestions?

  3. turn the printer off.

  4. disconnect the power cable on both ends of the printer

  6 reconnect power cord then turn on printing.

  I find that the easiest way is to use a computer application. My favorite is PhoneView (Mac), but I've seen TouchCopy (Mac or Windows) recommended as well. This allows me to archive my text conversations in the form of files txt or pdf that can easily be printed.

  Alternatively, you can take screenshots by pressing home and power both buttons and those printing. A lot heavier in my opinion.

  If your computer has just been formatted, your computer might need to insert the boot CD in order to run it. So you can get the error message Disk Boot Failure-press and insert disk entry displayed on the screen whenever you try to run it. This could be related to:
  • Startup options is incorrectly set in BIOS Basic Input Output System ().
  • A non bootable CD is in your CD player
  • You don't have any boot device
  • You have installed a new hard drive
  • The hard drive is not properly connected
  • Your system files have been infected

  A.

  • From Windows Explorer type folder in the address bar and press ENTER.
  • Locate and open the most recent HP installation folder, which begins with 7z (e.g. 7z1234a).
  • Open the installation folder.
  • Locate the file named usbready.exe, rename it to usbready1.exe.
  • Go back up a level and start the Setup.exe program.
  • Now follow the installation and check for the difference.

  B. (if you can't find a HP installation folder in the temporary directory)

  • Cancel the installation.
  • Extract the installer to a folder using 7 - Zip or similar.
  • Navigate to the folder, and then in the Setup subfolder.
  • Rename usbready.exe to usbready.exe.bak.
  • Run setup.exe from the root folder and the installation should proceed as usual.
