3 EA1 problem in 64-bit environment

I'm certainly not able to start Data Modeler 3 EA1 on a 64-bit (Windows 7 64-bit, 64-bit Jvm) environment

I've known (and I've read release notes) that SQL Developer Data Modeler is supported on 64-bit platforms, but datamodeler.bat is simply not present in the last version - any other executable is useless on env 64-bit.

I tried to build a lot myself, but - damn it - I can't find the main class in oracle.datamodeler.jar: the earlier, oracle.dbtools.crest.swingui.ApplicationView,.
seems wrong; using oracle.ide.boot.Launcher it's the same.
I'm a little frustrated ;-)

Of course, I downloaded the zip without a JRE file

Any help would be appreciated

Ciao
Ivo

Hi Ivo,

You can simply create a file beats in \datamodeler\bin that contains the following lines:

Java - Dide.conf =\datamodeler\bin\datamodeler.conf-Dide.product=oracle.datamodeler - cp \ide\lib\ide-boot.jar oracle.ide.boot.Launcher

Be sure to replace with your actual data Modeler installation folder.

Hope that helps,
Ivaylo

  • Problems of 64-bit Vista Home Premium, Ultimate upgrade

I recently bought a laptop HP Pavilion dv4-1144us with 64-bit Windows Vista Home Premium (with SP1) pre-installed electronics Fry as well as a copy of the upgrade to Windows Vista Ultimate Edition (with SP1) because I need to the ability to connect to a domain when using the laptop at work.  After installing Office 2007 Standard and by ensuring that the new Windows Vista laptop basically work, I tried to run the installation from the Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit Upgrade disk and found that, after an hour or two of an upgrade treat it to race end in a non-descript "cannot upgrade one or more components.  Error Windows will restart and cancel the upgrade. ", after which he ends by turn to Vista Home Premium.

After doing a little research online (on TechArena) and I have re-tried the upgrade again after:

In Control Panel-> programs and features:

    -Deactivation of Microsoft.NET Framework 3.0

    -Disable remote differential Compression

-Deactivation of the replication DFS Windows Service

Disable Norton Virus and Internet Security software pre-installed

Disable the Windows Firewall and defender.

    Uninstalling Quicktime and AIM.

Disconnect all other devices to a USB mouse.

However when "Compatibility Check" of the upgrade at the beginning, he warn a problem with a filter 'keyboard '.

(no further details) which I think can refer to the HP software that implement quick launch the laptop keys.

So I downloaded and installed the latest version of the HP Quick Launch Button drivers on the HP Support page:

    ' HP Quick Launch buttons Date: 08/2008 Version: 6.40.8.2 H size: 20.97 M

and I tried again, but still without success.

Note: I can not run the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor, as recommended because it does not work on Vista 64 bit.

However, there are standard HP and Microsoft Vista + Office + MessengerLive software installed only at this stage.

Are there additional clues on what to try next?  Has anyone experience this problem?

    -Greg

You can try to uninstall the filter on the keyboard until the upgrade is complete...  In Device Manager, go to 'View' and select 'show hidden devices and then go down to "Non-Plug and Play drivers" and made a right click on the keyboard/HID filter drivers and uninstall (remove also the softare upon request).

  • HP Clubhouse G6 problem starting 64-BIT (Windows 8)

    HP G6 8 64-BIT Windows clubhouse

    PRODUCT: C4M16EA #ABU
    MODEL: g6-2241sa

When starting my laptop I get the message ' Loading/Starting Windows' or 'prepare auto repair.

It will always stay as such indefinatly.

My keyboard is also sense is unresponsive, I can't access all the screens that can help, even if for some reason any 'ctrl + alt + del' seems to work before the HP Logo loads, but causes just the laptop to reboot.

I tried to turn my cell phone off, remove the power cable and the battery, now the power button for 15 seconds, plug the power cable while leaving the battery and pressing the power button to turn it on, but nothing.

Now, this problem seems occor after the fall of the battery, I suppose that he would be wrong with the clips.

but before even the pack fell, the laptop started to freeze, for the first time since I bought it, unfortunaty battery fell as he was frozen, adding probably more to the struggle of laptops every start.

as I'm just young and still in education I am not proven flexible meaning I don't have an income either.

So if I need to replace my laptop or any computer component of such, please suggest the cheapest possible you...

    Thank you.

Unfortunately, my warranty has expired, I thought I was doing he extended but a year and a half, according to moore's law, I should be able to buy a brand knew portable with double technology for the same price as this one. So I decided just let expire and take care of it.

But overall, the problem has been solved, I left my laptop on one night while I was sleeping and it fixed itself, I guess it was just a matter of waiting.

In the future, I'll wait and see what happenes before posting for help here.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion however.

  • Problems restoring 64 bit Windows Vista - sfc/scannow still find things to fix even if run multiple times in a row

I had a hard drive failure; However, the operating system has been on another disk, a 250 GB SSD. After replacing the faulty discs, I tried to move Windows Vista 64 bit to a larger 512 SSD concert. I keep running into problems with these efforts. To verify that the 250 GB SSD is clean and ready to be moved, I run the sfc/scannow in SafeMode with network. I run several times now and each time he claims to have found corrupt files and fixed them.

This is evidence of a virus or other malicious software?

I try to avoid formatting the drive and having to reinstall all software.

    Suggested actions?

  • HP PSC 2410 all-in-One - use in 64-bit environment of Windows 7

    Hello

I've had this all-in-one HP PSC 2410 printer for a few years now and it has worked quite smoothly in an environment Windows XP Pro SP3 for the time.

A few months ago, I bought a new computer system and went to the Windows 7 64-bit OS (not interersted in Windows 8 at all) and I installed the printer successfully and it works, the software suite provided with the printer on the CD will not install for this environment and so I have more access to the different Maintenance Options that were available in Windows XP Pro OS such as cleaning and fax options.

Looking for something for Windows 7 64-bit operating system threw up two options - update driver and utilities Assistant tool.   After getting off the route to update the driver, no software suite was available, and in fact the update said that the driver has been installed by Windows 7 automatically.  This seems to be the case as the printer works very well in print mode, mode of scanning (in the desktop menu) and it detects SD cards in the slots.

However, there is no software to allow me to fax or clean or do any of the other options available in the HP Suite provided on the CD.

Down the utility road has downloaded me a file - HPPIW. EXE - look at my current installation of the printer and check with HP for updates.   After several attempts, the utility simply CANNOT find my printer even if it is installed, running and even windows sees!   No amount of recycling the POWER button or restarting the computer allows this utility to detect the printer at all.  It is installed via USB on PC family of 64-bit Windows 7 and windows updates current are always fully updated.

I considering buying a new HP OfficeJet 8600 Pro Plus to use as printer family with Windows 7 system - and move this HP PSC 2410 upstairs to connect directly to my Office Windows XP Pro SP3 staff and use the original CD to install it.  My Canon IP4200 Pixma just die on my own PC, on the floor.

However, until that I do this, are there any available software suite that could work in the environment of Windows 7 that would allow me to use the various functions such as fax and cleaning that were available under the old XP environment and gets through the CD?  As a result of software never updated for Windows 7?

    Thank you

    Hi BAW9DV,

I can't wait to hear that you have questions.  While there isn't a utility software that will complete the desired tasks, maintenance can be completed from the front of the unit.  Windows also has a request for the fax from the computer so that may work with this device. See the information below which can activate the functions you want.

    Sending faxes:

1 fax and scan Windows use

    A. Type Windows Fax and Scan in the search box

    B. set up Fax for use.  Click here to see the Microsoft documentation for usage.  Note: This is a 3rd party Web site. HP and I are not responsible for the content of this site.

    C. Select New Fax

    Front panel maintenance tasks:

Running the print cartridges clean utility click here

    Setf-test page click here print

Evaluate the test page click here

Align the cartridges: press Setup, press 5, then press 2

If you work around options are not acceptable the 8600 model would certainly meet your needs in comparison with this camera.  However, I encourage you to contact HP to see what upgrade options are available for this device. It will probably be another Photosmart design unit, but in many cases, upgrades are available at a discount to our valuable clients guaranteed.  Global coordinates can be found here.

PS If you pass through technical support, remember to ask questions on packs.  Extended warranties may also be available at a reduced rate for the upgrade.

    I hope this helps!

  • Various problems of 64-bit Windows 7: Scheduler of tasks, computer do not close, sfc/scannow

    Hello

I have a Sony VAIO laptop, running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit (Home Premium 64-bit upgrade) that I had several problems with in the past months. I am considering a factory reset, but I'd rather not if possible. A few months ago, I solved a problem with the message of Bad Pool Header but that seems to be fixed to come up with the BSOD.

Now, occasionally when turn off my computer it crashes, with the fan accelerates sometimes slow down then again randomly. Later (I'm sure) she gets a BSOD and then stops. I did not see coming, I see either the next day with a message like "your computer has stopped unexpectedly" or sometimes I held the power button after becoming impatient.

Then I read an article on reliability monitor and is interested in what might happen, but it had not been updated since September 2013. I looked up why this could happen and discovered that I had to check for it in Task Scheduler. When I open the Task Scheduler I got an error saying that "the selected task"{0}"no longer exists. To see the common tasks, click on refresh. "When I click OK another message pops up saying"Task Scheduler is not available... ". "but when I click OK it shows the first error again.

On another question on this Web site (error message: the selected task "{0}" no longer exists...) I read that I might need to delete some tasks that may be missing. I haven't lived a large part of the list in the Microsoft\Windows folder, but I found that, so far, applications experience and Bluetooth have tasks that create problems. I don't know if I want to just delete these because do not know if they are useful when you work or what they do.

The last problem is when I run the sfc/scannow command prompt with administrator privileges in, he is able to find problems on my hard drive but is unable to correct. I discovered a way to run SFC in the command prompt in Windows Startup Repair (where I learned how). I ran sfc/scannow damaged = f:-/offwindir = f:\windows (drive letter was different) and he didn't show any problems on the drive and has not set the disk problems.

Sorry for the issues. Just didn't know if it would be better to start these issues separately.

    Thank you

    Hi Zac,

  • CA computer problems in a wireless environment

    Hello

I am trying to install wireless security environment in a network client. All cisco, WLC and APs devices work properly with guest users, Web auth.

I would like to install certificates to computer for employers. I installed a certificate authority root in a windows server 2003 Enterprise Edition and IAS in another windows server 2003 domain. I configure WPA2 + 801.X WLC and WPA2 and PEAP with MSCHAPv2 in the employer's computer and install a computer certificate on it. The problem is that I get to authenticate within the networking environment use straight away with or without certificate.

Anyone know if I need to use something else to stop the domain without the certified computer users and validate computers with it?

Thank you very much in advance,

    Oscar

    HII Oscar,

I understand that your condition is to allow specific users to access the network with certificate client-side, right?

SO if this is the case, you must use EAP - TLS, you must provide client cerificate to all users.

    to do this:

    Portable/client: select WPA2 + AES, with EAP - TLS

    SSID on controller: WPA2 + AES with 802. 1 x

RADIUS: must support EAP - TLS and you need to install good Certs it

    Hope this helps

  • ATI Radeon 5770 + problems of 64-bit Windows 7 drivers

I have a sapphire radeon hd 5770 and I recently installed windows 7.  When I installed the driver for my graphics card I have to reboot for it to take effect.  Once the reboot is finished, I find myself with a desktop computer that has no mouse, no icons and no taskbar.  I have to restore the system to remove the Catalyst Control Center (the pilot for the 5770).  I need the driver to install to use my graphics card but so far no luck.  I spent hours trying to solve this problem, and any help is appreciated.

    Hello

Welcome to Microsoft Windows 7 answers Forum!

You can note that ATI Radeon 5770 is compatible with Windows 7. You can visit the link below to learn more on this subject.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/details.aspx?type=software&p=catalyst%20Control%20Center&v=ATI&UID=&pf=0&PI=1&s=ATI%20Radeon%205770&OS=64-bit

If you have installed the drivers ATI Radeon 5770, could note you tell us if the drivers have been installed through Windows updates or that you downloaded from the Web site.

If it has been downloaded from the Web site, then you must update the drivers supplied by Device Manager and check if the problem is resolved.

You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.

    1. open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    2. in Device Manager, locate the graphics card and then double-click the device name.

    3. click Driver tab, then click on set to update driver and follow the instructions.

Also note that you should only download display drivers leaving behind control catalyst ATI from the link below.

    http://game.AMD.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=Win7/Windows-7-32bit

After downloading, you will need to install on your computer and check if the problem is resolved.

  • Random shutdown problem. 64-bit Windows 8

It seems to happen randomly... But my computer to randomly stop every hour or two. I checked the power saving settings and everything, is there a known problem or Fix that I could use to get my computer not to stop? I have Windows 8 Pro - 64 Bit.

I had the same problems over the past 14 months. Origanally I blamed the PSU, replaced that, no effect.

I've experimented with other versions of drivers and windows, replaced the memory with LV/LP (little improvement) but the same problems; BSOD and powerdrops/sudden reboots. Since he is not consistent, it sometimes seems to help, which made it difficult to analyze.

During the last month things got worse and worse. I sent in the dumps memory to Sapphire for my graphics card, they did a great job and even offered to replace the card, but since it was not not a direct relationship with my humble opinion I don't have.

I had one cut analyze with my equipment on the whole of the system supplier, they have not found a problem but replaced the motherboard (AsRock Z77 Pro3) in all cases. The new Board of Directors has been tested, but at home, it crashed on me sudcdenly in the BIOS. We measured the power from the motherboard. It seemed that even on regular use in mode dekstop, without overclocking, power is not quite consistent.

This Council, as most low/mid range mothers, don't use real Digital PWM and uses of capacitors and coils. We replaced the Board with a Gigabyte ultra-portable (in this case the GA-Z77X-UD3H). All the problems have been resolved.

My system is now running smooth, even low power (cool) and slightly overclocked.

  • Display problem in 16-bit mode of layer mask

With the new version of CC 2015 of Photoshop, I came across a weird problem in layer mask mixture. Here is an example, what it looks like:

layer blending bug - print screen.jpg

I opened a raw file (.dng) from Lightroom (16 bit, ProPhoto), created a black layer mask and began to paint with pure white. As you can see, the transparency model in the background is always visible, even if the density of the mask is 100% and the white brush was normal and opacity and flow were both 100%. The white layer mask doesn't seem to be completely opaque.

But it's more weird. Then, I put two rectangles in the image. This is the checkerboard disappear, but the color of the rectangles has no effect on the image on the top. So the white layer mask is opaque and not fully opaque at the same time!

I then saved the image in jpeg format and the picture looked like it should be there:

    layer blending bug.jpg

Apparently, the question has something to do with rendering on screen, not the content of the actual image. I also noticed, that changing the picture mode to 16 bits to 8 bits makes the disappearance of the problem. But as I also pay for the 16-bit mode, I would use it...

Everyone found this and you are able to reproduce this behavior? Or am I missing some setting somewhere? Can anyone suggest a solution, or should I just wait patiently as the bug fix?

Layer masks and alpha channels are all 8 bits, regardless of the number of image bits.

What you have tried to solve this problem?  Your video card driver is entirely up to the site of the manufacturer of the card?

What operating system do you use?

    You reinstall JavaFX runtime too?

Looks like JavaFX Runtime is 32-bit and 64-bit Java Runtime.
It's no wonder that this won't work because the libraries are not compatible. You must have matching runtimes.

And if you launch it from browser and browser must be 64-bit to run 64-bit Java.
Many 64-bit platforms still have 32 bits used by default browsers.
